The writers present this additional paper to supplement the treatise (Clinical Cases of Skin Diseases treated with Hyungsang Medicine) issued at Hyungsang Medicine Conference in 2001. New other cases have been added in this paper because we didn't deal with sufficient cases in the former treatise and there is also a need for continuous research. The skin is the part that is exposed to the outer environment. Consequently, it is not only under the direct influence of the outside, but also shows internal abnormalities. Therefore, it should be carefully examined, when diagnosing a skin disease, whether the disease is caused by the outside influence, or it reveals internal abnormalities, or it shows both outer and internal abnormalities. For skin disease diagnoses, there are still limits in finding out the cause of a disease only by means of feeling pulses and analysing symptoms. In order to overcome those limitations, and for more accurate and appropriate treatments, Hyungsang diagnosis should be fully understood and well recognized. Accordingly, for skin disease treatment especially, along with all the other disease treatments, we should take the four combined factors (configuration, color, pulse and symptoms) into consideration to bring out the merits and the characteristics of the oriental medicine and be able to prepare for any cases.

It is our greatest concern of Korean team to enter round of 16. The past football results are the most important data for making a prediction. And we know that the home advantage is also considerable factor and there are many unobservable factors. However, there are few matches between the participants and even not the results for some nations. To overcome this difficulty, we model the network of results and consider other factors. We predict 2006 Germany World Cup results using modified the Bradley-Terry model.

In the 21st century the service industry, particularly the hospitality industry, has the potential to develop into its golden age. In preparation for this hotels must maximize management proficiency by introducing reasonable and scientific systems into their current operations. The hotel industry takes it for granted that it can meet the final business goal by way of effective management of human resources. However, comprehensive papers on the subject of employee satisfaction have not appeared or been presented in Korean business studies. And although papers from abroad have touched on the subject they are not focused on the specialized domain of human resources as it applies to the comprehensive matters relating to job satisfaction as a corelationship to business success. This study focuses on some problems that must be overcome in achieving business objectives while striving at the same time to maintain satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to find the factors that measure employee job satisfaction in the hotel industry. To establish the purpose I reviewed the definition of the job satisfaction. An antecedent study of job satisfaction and Questionnaires were used to acquire data, specifically, hotel employees were selected randomly from the six super-deluxe hotels in Seoul to respond to thorough questionnaires. As a result of the study on the variables of Sex, Position, Length of Service, Opportunity for Promotion, Working Conditions, Wages and Hotel Situation. As a whole, promotional opportunity, wages and working conditions were frequently cited as negative factors in the responses. A comprehensive approach that includes improving wages and that reflects management's sincere concern with the working conditions of the employees is urgently needed. Hotel management that is willing to examine employee satisfaction periodically and provide proper solutions can prevent dissatisfied employees from separating from their jobs. This study has some limitation in that it is restricted geographically and in research method. That is, only six super-deluxe hotels in Seoul were selected as the subject of study and only the questionnaire method of obtaining data was used out of various available research methods.

This study aims to overcome the limitations of prior studies that have failed to take into account the impact of psycho-social factors on the employment of people with disabilities as well as the differences in employment by life stage. This study employs a research model that includes psycho-social factors along with human capital to examine how the determinants of employment differ for the disabled by life stage. The analysis in this study takes the form of logistic regression, using data from the fifth wave of the Korea Welfare Panel Survey. Analysis results show that the employment probability of young people with disabilities is significantly associated with their experience of discrimination, with their chance of employment decreasing when they have more experience of discrimination. Middle-aged people with disabilities are more likely to be employed when they have a lower level of education, a better health condition and a higher level of labor ability. For the disabled elderly, their labor ability is the only factor affecting their possibility of employment; they have a higher chance of getting a job when they have a higher level of labor ability.

This research aims to find planning issues on reuse of an industrial heritage as a cultural cluster and to suggest planning factors which can be referred when designing the similar cases. Analysis standards were formed through reviewing of precedent literatures, and the selected cases(i.e Shanghai M50, Yokohama BankART1929, and Incheon ArtPlatform) were analyzed to identify both physical and nonphysical planning characteristics. By combining analyses, the following results were obtained; (1) The demand and supply of the arts coexist in one place, and the studios and galleries are designed with high ceilings; (2) The regional and historical characteristics are revealed from preserving major architectural elements of previous buildings, and open spaces are provided to promote a variety of activities for local residents; (3) Various strategies to overcome disadvantage in location are developed, and the concepts of design can be easily recognized by buildings' exterior as the reused industrial heritage and the cultural cluster; (4) Diverse supports for artists make it possible to gather many competent artists, and the cooperative networks among artists play a pivotal role in the development of cultural cluster; (5) The cluster runs educational programs reflecting the needs of local residents, and builds a strong relationship with the local community by supporting regional art industry or developing linked programs; (6) The cluster serves various functions such as cafes, pubs, restaurants, art shops, and bookstores, and hosts appealing events and festivals to attract many people even who are not interested in arts.

The objective of this study is to discuss the role of integrative medicine (IM) in contemporary health care settings, and how and which factors affect and facilitate the success of IM in terms of the integration of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and conventional medicine in primary health care (PHC). IM is meant to provide the best possible health care, for both patient and physician. The way of IM use in the developed countries presents various ways that IM can be provided, and it appears that strategies have been successfully developed to facilitate integration. Although few of the barriers to the integration of CAM and conventional medicine have been resolved, concerns over the legitimacy of CAM in health care (e.g., safety, biomedical evidence, and efficacy) are being overcome by the use of evidence-based practice in IM delivery. There are dominant models of IM that have been developed. The model types signify different levels of equity between CAM and conventional medicine in regard to the power, autonomy, and control held by each. However, the factors common to all IM models, whether describing CAM as supplementary or complementary to conventional medicine, is the concept of a health care model that aspires to be client-centred and holistic, with focus on health rather than disease as well as mutual respect among peer practitioners. Finally, this study concluded that the growth and viability of traditional Korean medicine(TKM) depend on evidence-based practices and identifying the successful influences on the integration of TKM and conventional medicine for recognition of its inherent value in PHC. Some recommendations for the integration of TKM and conventional medicine were suggested.

In recent years, to overcome drawbacks related to the aplicati on of classical structural optimization algorithms, various drift design methods based on factores of member displacement participation factors have been developed to size members if they satisfy stiffness criteria. In particular, a resizing algorithm based on dynamic displacement participation factors from the response spectrum analysis has been applied in the drift design of steel structures subjec ted to seismic lateral forces. In this aproach, active members are selected for displacement control based on the displacement participation fa ve members may be taken out and added to the active members for the drift control. The resizing algorithm can be practically and effectively applied to drift design of high-rise buildings however, the inelastic behavior o f the resizing algorithm has not ben evaluated yet. To develop the resizing algorithm considering the performance of nonlinearity as well a s elastic stifness, the evaluation model of resizing algorithm s is developed and aplied to the examples of moment-resisting steel frame, which is one of the simplest structural systems. The inelastic behavior of moment-resisting steel frame designed by the resizing algorithm is also discussed.

What this research aims are as follows. First, it aims to examine the difference in gender ratio of single men and women in the entire nation and Gyeongbuk area, and also the ratio of single men in marriageable age in Gyeongbuk area by si, gun, dong, eub, and myeon, Second, the social-economical characteristics of single men in marriageable age in Gyeongbuk area, and third, the causes of problems related to marriage for single men and the solutions. As a result, it was revealed that imbalance of current gender ratio in farming area, farm villages falling behind socially and economically, young women evading marriage with young men in farming area, and difficulty of making a girlfriend, all served as the factors that made it difficult for single men to get married. It is impossible to overcome these factors by individual efforts made by single men in farming area. Therefore, these problems would be resolved by taking such measures as construction of social infrastructure in farming area in Gyeongbuk area, enhancement of status of women in farming area, and enhancement of awareness for men in farming area.

Keyword advertising has been used as a promotion tool rather than the advertising itself to online retailers. This is because the online retailer expects the direct sales increase when they deploy the keyword sponsorship. In practice, many online sellers rely on keyword advertising to promote their sales in short term with limited budget. Most of the previous researches use direct revenue factors as dependent variables such as CTR (click through rate) and CVI (conversion per impression) in their researches on the keyword advertising[14, 16, 22, 25, 31, 32]. Previous studies were, however, conducted in the context of aggregate-level due to the limitations on the data availability. These researches cannot evaluate the performance of keyword advertising in the individual level. To overcome these limitations, our research focuses on conversion of keyword advertising in individual-level. Also, we consider manageable factors as independent variables in terms of online retailers (the costs of keyword by implementation methods and meanings of keyword). In our study we developed the keyword advertising conversion model in the individual-level. With our model, we can make some theoretical findings and managerial implications. Practically, in the case of a fixed cost plan, an increase of the number of clicks is revealed as an effective way. However, higher average CPC is not significantly effective in increasing probability of purchase conversion. When this type (fixed cost plan) of implementation could not generate a lot of clicks, it cannot significantly increase the probability of purchase choice. Theoretically, we consider the promotional attributes which influence consumer purchase behavior and conduct individuals-level research based on the actual data. Limitations and future direction of the study are discussed.

In this paper, we propose a mean time to failure (MTTF) to improve the solution for a cryogenic cooler, which is an important part of a cooled thermal device. Common electronic devices have a high possibility of failure due to various environmental factors, such as temperature and humidity. But some special devices (such as thermal devices) are designed to overcome environmental factors. The most affected part of a cooled thermal device's MTTF is the cryogenic cooler. The MTTF of a cryogenic cooler is affected by the device's internal heat. Therefore, if the device's internal heat is reduced, the cryogenic cooler's MTTF increases. From the present device's internal heat simulation, we analyze the improvement method of the device. The proposed improvement method's effectiveness is verified by simulation and MTTF calculation.
