RANDOM SAMPLING AND RECONSTRUCTION OF SIGNALS WITH FINITE RATE OF INNOVATION

  • In this paper, we mainly study the random sampling and reconstruction of signals living in the subspace Vp(𝚽, 𝚲) of Lp(ℝd), which is generated by a family of molecules 𝚽 located on a relatively separated subset 𝚲 ⊂ ℝd. The space Vp(𝚽, 𝚲) is used to model signals with finite rate of innovation, such as stream of pulses in GPS applications, cellular radio and ultra wide-band communication. The sampling set is independently and randomly drawn from a general probability distribution over ℝd. Under some proper conditions for the generators 𝚽 = {𝜙λ : λ ∈ 𝚲} and the probability density function 𝜌, we first approximate Vp(𝚽, 𝚲) by a finite dimensional subspace VpN (𝚽, 𝚲) on any bounded domains. Then, we prove that the random sampling stability holds with high probability for all signals in Vp(𝚽, 𝚲) whose energy concentrate on a cube when the sampling size is large enough. Finally, a reconstruction algorithm based on random samples is given for signals in VpN (𝚽, 𝚲).

  • 기상 자료의 경우 한 지역의 기후가 인접지역의 기후와 비슷한 양상을 띄고 각 지역의 확률 밀도 함수 (probability density function)가 잘 알려진 확률 모형을 따르지 않는다는 것이 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 특성을 고려하여 이상 기후 현상이 뚜렷히 나타나는 여름철 평균 극한 기온(extreme temperature)의 확률 밀도 함수를 추정하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 공간적 상관관계 (spatial correlation)를 고려하는 비모수 베이지안 (nonparametric Bayesian) 모형인 조건부 자기회귀 종추출 혼합모형 (mixtures of conditional autoregression species sampling model)을 이용하였다. 자료는 이스트앵글리아 대학교 (University of East Anglia)에서 제공하는 전 지구의 최대 기온과 최소 기온자료 중 우리나라에 해당하는 지역의 자료를 사용하였다.

  • LFM 신호를 이용한 능동소나 신호처리에서는 Split-beam을 이용한 좌우 두 빔 사이의 상호상관관계를 측정함으로써 표적의 자세각과 길이 정보를 추정할 수 있다. 그러나 탐지된 원거리 표적의 정보를 추정하기 위해서는 고분해능의 방위각 및 거리 해상도가 요구된다. 이를 위해 나이키스트(Nyquist) 샘플링 주파수보다 높은 샘플링 주파수가 필요하므로, 일반적으로 보간기법을 이용하여 과도샘플링(over-sampling) 을 해야 한다. 하지만 과도 샘플링된 좌우 빔신호를 이용하여 상호상관관계를 구할 경우, 요구되는 연산량과 메모리 용량이 일반적으로 상용 DSP 프로세서들의 처리용량과 내부 메모리 용량을 초과하게 되어 DSP를 이용한 실시간 구현이 어렵게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 누적처리기법을 이용한 Split-beam처리 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 기법의 성능을 모의실험을 통하여 검증하고, ADSP-TS101을 사용하여 실시간 시스템으로 구현하였다.

The Effects of Varying Sampling Flow Rates on the Measurements of Total Nitrate and Sulfate in Dry Acid Deposition

  • One technique for determining dry acid deposition fluxes involves measurement of time - averaged ambient concentrations of dry acid deposition species using filter packs (FP) coupled with estimates of mean deposition velocities for the exposure period. A critical problem associated with filter pack data comparisons between various field sampling networks is the use of diverse sampling flow rates and duration protocols. Field experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of varying sampling flow rates, from 1.5 to 10 standard liters per minute, on total nitrate and sulfate measurements of specific dry acid deposition species . Collocated FP samplers were used to determine sampling and analysis data reproducibility and representativeness . Ambient air samples were simultaneously collected using groups of filter packs operated at various flow rates over identical 7 day periods. The species measured were sulfur dioxide, particulate sulfate , nitric acid and particulate nitrate. Statistical results (ANOVA; alpha level 5%) showed that neither the low nor high sampling flow rates caused a significant difference in the measurements of total sulfate and adjusted total nitrate (ATN) . However, it was concluded that for high flow rate sampling measurements, total nitrate (TN) could be affected during extended sampling durations because of potential nitric acid overloading and breakthrough. Although the previous workers (Costello, 1990; Quillian, 1990) used much higher sampling flow rates (~ 17 sLpm) than employed here, it was assumed that for a high loading (> 50$\mu\textrm{g}$ HNO$_3$) of nitric acid on the Nylon filters, a significant fraction (~10%) of nitric acid could pass through the Nylon filters and be collected on the carbonate impregnated filters. It was concluded that even at the highest sampling flow rate employed (10 sLpm) at the Cary Forest site, nitric acid breakthrough was less than 10% of the total HNO$_3$ collected. However, for a heavily polluted urban airshed or with longer sampling times , higher filter loadings could result in substantial nitric acid breakthrough and HNO$_3$concentrations would be underestimated.

GC/FID를 이용한 사슬형 카보네이트 3종의 측정·분석방법 (Sampling and Analytical Method for Linear Carbonates using GC/FID)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to develop an air sampling and analytical method for estimating worker exposure to linear carbonate solvents and to evaluate the method. Methods: The target substances were three linear carbonates: DMC, DEC, EMC. GC/FID was used for sample analysis. Laboratory experiments were conducted to determine desorption solvents and sample capacity, and to evaluate storage stability, accuracy, and precision. Results: Coconut Shell Charcoal (CSC, 100/50 mg) was used as the air sampling media, and a desorption solvent of 5% methanol/95% dichloromethane was selected. Recommended sampling capacities were 1~11 ℓ for DMC, 1~18 ℓ for DEC, and 1~24 ℓ for EMC. The stability of three linear carbonates was demonstrated over 30 days in a refrigerator (4℃). Detection limits were determined as follows: DMC 0.26 ㎍/sample, DEC 0.24 ㎍/sample, and EMC 0.25 ㎍/sample. The total coefficient of variation was calculated as DMC 0.064, DEC 0.079, and EMC 0.07. Conclusions: This sampling and analysis method is suitable for estimating personal exposure to linear carbonates in the workplace.

멀티 라인 레이저 비전 센서를 이용한 고속 3차원 계측 및 모델링에 관한 연구 (Development of multi-line laser vision sensor and welding application)

  • A vision sensor measure range data using laser light source. This sensor generally use patterned laser which shaped single line. But this vision sensor cannot satisfy new trend which feeds foster and more precise processing. The sensor's sampling rate increases as reduced image processing time. However, the sampling rate can not over 30fps, because a camera has mechanical sampling limit. If we use multi line laser pattern, we will measure multi range data in one image. In the case of using same sampling rate camera, number of 2D range data profile in one second is directly proportional to laser line's number. For example, the vision sensor using 5 laser lines can sample 150 profiles per second in best condition.

불량갯수에 대한 축차 샘플링검사 (Sequential Sampling Inspection Plans for Defectives)

  • The sequential sampling inspection method is an extension of the double-sampling and multiple-sampling methods and its theory is based on the sequential probability ratio test(SPRT). In this paper, the characteristics of SPRT for testing the propotion of defectives are approximated by using the estimated excess over the boundaries. The use of the estimated excess shows good performances in estimating the operating characteristic function and the average sample number of SPRT compared to the method by neglecting the excess. It also makes it possible to determine the boundary values which satisfy the desired error probabilities.

Importance sampling with splitting for portfolio credit risk

  • We consider a credit portfolio with highly skewed exposures. In the portfolio, small number of obligors have very high exposures compared to the others. For the Bernoulli mixture model with highly skewed exposures, we propose a new importance sampling scheme to estimate the tail loss probability over a threshold and the corresponding expected shortfall. We stratify the sample space of the default events into two subsets. One consists of the events that the obligors with heavy exposures default simultaneously. We expect that typical tail loss events belong to the set. In our proposed scheme, the tail loss probability and the expected shortfall corresponding to this type of events are estimated by a conditional Monte Carlo, which results in variance reduction. We analyze the properties of the proposed scheme mathematically. In numerical study, the performance of the proposed scheme is compared with an existing importance sampling method.

반도체 라인의 효율적 계측을 위한 자동 계측 샘플링 방식에 관한 연구 (Efficient Auto Measure Sampling Method for Semiconductor Line)

  • Semiconductor processes need measurement to confirm where there are problems in quality after progresses manufacturing process. This paper suggests equipment and automatic measure sampling method that control monitoring ratio according to change point occurrence availability of process that is not measure method by the existent simple ratio rate. This paper defines measure section as ailment section, metastable section and stability section by change point standard and create statistical model of each section and developed suitable measure rate model by section. As a result, we have accomplished maximum throughput and minimum sampling number that needs to maintain constant level of quality. Proposed method minimizes load of measure process by brings production quality sophistication and decrease of process badness and lowers measure rate in stable section making perception about problem occurrence quick heightening measure rate at change point occurrence.
