This paper considers probable determinants of the application software outsourcing costs and focuses on the service level agreement (SLA) influence. Recently, outsourcing clients and vendors have contracted SLA and tried to reflect them on outsourcing prices. While application software maintenance has been one of the most frequently outsourced functions, its cost did not reflect the service level requirements by the client. This paper empirically shows that the service urgency requirement on SLA increases the maintenance programmers' effort and thus increases the vendor's cost. This result can be used by vendors for program allocation purposes.

The sub-zero cold is a major environmental consideration for the operational readiness of FCEVs because fuel cells produce water and utilize wet air with varying water content to generate electricity. Typical fuel cells thus have a fatal flaw in freezing conditions at startup. This drawback becomes more serious with the outsourced fuel cell that is entirely water-based for its internal humidification. In this background, the HMC's self-designed fuel cell was developed as an alternative and was employed in the Tucson-based FCEV in 2006 demonstrating its good cold-startup characteristics. The cold-startup capacity of the vehicle was validated through tests in the cold chamber and on the road, resulting in 50% stack power achieved in 250 seconds at $-15^{\circ}C$.

This paper improves algorithms for an assembly-type flowshop scheduling problem in which each job is to assemble two types of components and makespan is the objective measure. For the assembly, one type of the components is outsourced with job-dependent lead time but the other type is fabricated in-house. When both components for a job are prepared, the assembly operation for the job can be started. This problem had been proved to be NP-Complete, so branch-and-bound (B&B) and heuristic algorithms have already been developed. In this paper, we suggest other dominance rules, lowerbound and heutistic algorithms. Also, we develop a new B&B algorithm using these improved bound and dominance rules. The suggested heuristics and B&B algorithm are compared with existing algorithms on randomly-generated test problems.

This paper presents a speaker recognition system intended for use in human-robot interaction. The proposed speaker recognition system can achieve significantly high performance in the Ubiquitous Robot Companion (URC) environment. The URC concept is a scenario in which a robot is connected to a server through a broadband connection allowing functions to be performed on the server side, thereby minimizing the stand-alone function significantly and reducing the robot client cost. Instead of giving a robot (client) on-board cognitive capabilities, the sensing and processing work are outsourced to a central computer (server) connected to the high-speed Internet, with only the moving capability provided by the robot. Our aim is to enhance human-robot interaction by increasing the performance of speaker recognition with multiple microphones on the robot side in adverse distant-talking environments. Our speaker recognizer provides the URC project with a basic interface for human-robot interaction.

클라우드 컴퓨팅의 발전과 더불어 데이터베이스 아웃소싱에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 기존 정보보호를 지원하는 Topk 질의처리 연구는 다양한 형태로 정보가 노출되는 문제점을 보인다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 데이터 보호, 사용자 질의 보호, 데이터 접근 패턴 은닉을 모두 지원하는 아웃소싱 데이터베이스 상에서의 안전한 Topk 질의처리 알고리즘을 제안한다. 성능평가를 통해, 제안하는 기법이 정보보호를 지원하는 동시에 효율적인 성능을 제공함을 보인다.

In recent years, increasing attention has been paid on how to manage a successful relationships between the receiver and provider of the Information Systems(IS) outsourcing services. This study explores the sources of influence for successful outsourcing relationships. Based on the Jaworski's control combination model for marketing, we (1) propose a management combination model of outsourcing relationships where trust is introduced as an intervening variable and outsourcing compleyity as a moderating variable, (2) test this model using a sample of 94 outsourcing projects in 36 organizations that have outsourced there IS functions to external service providers. The results indicated several significant findings. First, the deployment of management mechanism such as contract mechanism and trust building has a significant effect on the outsourcing success through trust only. Second, complexity of outsourcing activities has a moderating effect on relationship management combinations.

This paper considers an assembly-type flowshop scheduling problem in which each job is assembled with two types of components. One type of the components is outsourced with positive lead time but the other type is fabricated in-house at the first stage. The two types of the components should be prepared at the first stage before starting the assembly operation for each job at the second stage. The objective is to schedule the jobs so that the makespan is minimized. Some solution properties and lower bounds are derived and incorporated into a branch and bound algorithm. Also, an efficient heuristic is developed. The performances of the proposed branch and bound algorithm and heuristic are evaluated through computational experiments.

최근 클라우드 컴퓨팅에 대한 관심이 고조됨에 따라, 이를 활용한 데이터베이스 아웃소싱에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 한편, 데이터 소유자가 자신이 가지고 있는 공간 데이터베이스를 그대로 아웃소싱 할 경우, 서비스 제공자는 이를 불법으로 취득하여 악용할 수 있고, 질의 요청자들의 통계 정보를 통해 개인정보를 획득할 수 있다. 따라서 아웃소싱 환경에서 개인정보 보호 및 공간 데이터베이스를 보호하기 위한 데이터 변환기법 및 변환된 데이터베이스 상에서 질의를 처리하는 연구가 필요하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 아웃소싱 환경에서 공간 네트워크를 고려한 가공 데이터 생성 기법 및 암호화 기법을 설계한다. 아울러, 인증된 사용자가 질의 요청 시, 서비스 제공자가 저장한 가공 데이터를 이용하여 효율적으로 k-최근접점 질의를 수행하기 위한 힐버트 커브 기반 k-최근접점 질의처리 알고리즘을 제안한다.

최근 고품질 포맷을 지원하는 멀티미디어 기술이 발전함에 따라 멀티미디어 데이터의 크기가 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 게다가 여러 온라인 채널을 통해 멀티미디어 데이터를 제공하는 추세에 따라, 단일 서버에서 데이터를 저장 및 처리하기가 어려워지고 있다. 이에 많은 서비스 공급 업체들은 클라우드 저장소와 같은 외부 업체에 데이터 아웃소싱을 통한 비용 절감 효과를 기대하고 있다. 하지만 아웃소싱 데이터에 접근하려는 사용자를 안전하고 효율적으로 인증할 수 있을지는 선결과제로 남아있다. 비밀번호 기반 인증은 안전성 측면에서 많은 문제점을 가진다. 생체인식이나 SMS, 하드웨어 토큰과 같은 채널을 이용한 다중 인증 기법은 안전성을 강화하지만 사용자 편의성(usability)을 감소시킨다. 이에 본 논문에서는 안전성과 편의성을 모두 보장하는 블록 기반 상호 인증 기법을 소개한다. 추가적으로 본 논문에서 제안하는 기법은 효율적인 사용자 취소(user revocation) 기능을 제공한다. 본 논문은 상용 클라우드 서비스인 아마존 EC2에서 직접 실험을 설계 및 구현하였고, 실험 결과를 제시하였다.

본 연구는 정리업무에서 시행하고 있는 목록업무의 아웃소싱에 대한 전국 대학도서관의 실태를 조사하여 아웃소싱된 목록을 DB화하는 과정을 상세하게 파악하고자 하였다. 그리고 업체에서 입력한 목록에 대한 사서의 견해를 심층적인 각도에서 조명하고자 하였다 그리고 도서관 사서와 업체 직원간의 목록기술 내용에 대한 양자간의 인식도의 차이를 면밀히 분석하여 문제점을 파악하고 그 해결점을 모색하고자 하였으며, 동시 현 국립중앙도서관의 CIP와 한국교육학술정보원 (KERIS)의 참조목록의 기능과 역할에 대한 인식을 재조명하여, 미래 우리나라 도서관의 정리업무가 나아갈 방향을 제시하고자 시도하였다.
