Adaptive FNN Controller for High Performance Control of Induction Motor Drive (유도전동기 드라이브의 고성능 제어를 위한 적응 FNN 제어기)

  • This paper is proposed adaptive fuzzy-neural network(FNN) controller for high performance of induction motor drive. The design of this algorithm based on FNN controller that is implemented using fuzzy control and neural network. This controller uses fuzzy rule as training patterns of a neural network. Also, this controller uses the back-propagation method to adjust the weights between the neurons of neural network in order to minimize the error between the command output and actual output. A model reference adaptive scheme is proposed in which the adaptation mechanism is executed by fuzzy logic based on the error and change of error measured between the motor speed and output of a reference model. The control Performance of the adaptive FNN controller is evaluated by analysis for various operating conditions. The results of analysis prove that the proposed control system has strong high performance and robustness to parameter variation. and steady- state accuracy and transient response.

  • This paper is proposed adaptive hybrid artificial intelligent(HAI) controller for high performance of induction motor drive. The design of this algorithm based on fuzzy-neural network(FNN) controller that is implemented using fuzzy control and neural network.   • In this paper, a generalized adaptive law is proposed which uses a rational function type operator for parameter adjustment. To satisfy the passivity condition of the adaptation block, we introduce a constant feedback gain into the adaptation block. This adaptation scheme is applied to the model reference adaptive control of a continuous-time, linear time-invariant, minimum-phase system whose relative degree is 1. We prove the asymptotic stability of the output error of this adaptive system by hyperstability method. It is shown that by digital computer simulations this law can give a better output error transient response in some cases than the conventional gradient adaptive law. And the output error responses for the several types of the proposed adaptation law are examined in the presence of a kind of unmodeled dynamics.

  • This paper deals with adaptive control method of a robot manipulator with one-flexible link. ARMA model is used as a prediction and estimation model, and adaptive control scheme consists of parameter estimation part and adaptive controller. Parameter estimation part estimates ARMA model's coefficients by using recursive least-squares(RLS) algorithm and generates the predicted output. Variable forgetting factor (VFF) is introduced to achieve an efficient estimation, and adaptive controller consists of reference model, error dynamics model and minimum prediction error controller. An optimal input is obtained by minimizing input torque, it's successive input change and the error between the predicted output and the reference output.

  • An improved Reactor Regulating System (RRS) logic architecture, which is combined with genetic algorithm (GA), is implemented in this work. It is devised to provide an optimal solution to the current RRS. The current system works desirably and has contributed to safe and stable nuclear power plant operation. However, during the ascent and descent section of the reactor power, the RRS output reveals a relatively high steady-state error, and the output also carries a considerable level of overshoot. In an attempt to consolidate conservatism and minimize the error, this work proposes to apply GA to RRS and suggests reconfiguring the system. Prior to the use of GA, reverse engineering is implemented to build a Simulink-based RRS model. Reengineering is followed to produce a newly configured RRS to generate an output that has a reduced steady-state error and diminished overshoot level. A full-scope APR1400 simulator is used to examine the dynamic behaviors of RRS and to build the RRS Simulink model.

  • This paper considers the problem of regulating the output voltage of a current doubler rectified asymmetric half-bridge (CDRAHB) DC/DC converter via fuzzy integral control. First, we model the dynamic characteristics of the CDRAHB converter with the state-space averaging method, and after introducing an additional integral state of the output regulation error, we obtain the Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model for the augmented system. Second, the concept of parallel distributed compensation is applied to the design of the TS fuzzy integral controller, in which the state feedback gains are obtained by solving the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, numerical simulations of the considered design method are compared to those of the conventional method, in which a compensated error amplifier is designed for the stability of the feedback control loop.

  • In this paper a new learning algorithm for curvature smoothing and improved generalization for multi-layer neural networks is proposed. To enhance the generalization ability a constraint term of hidden neuron activations is added to the conventional output error, which gives the curvature smoothing characteristics to multi-layer neural networks. When the total cost consisted of the output error and hidden error is minimized by gradient-descent methods, the additional descent term gives not only the Hebbian learning but also the synaptic weight decay. Therefore it incorporates error back-propagation, Hebbian, and weight decay, and additional computational requirements to the standard error back-propagation is negligible. From the computer simulation of the time series prediction with Santafe competition data it is shown that the proposed learning algorithm gives much better generalization performance.

  • The ARS(Attitude Reference System) calculates an attitude of a vehicle using inertial angular rate sensors and acceleration sensors. The attitude error of ARS increases due to the integration of angular rate sensor output. To reduce the attitude error an acceleration of sensor is used similar to leveling method of INS(Inertial Navigation System). When an acceleration of vehicle is increased, it is difficult to calculate the attitude error using acceleration sensor output. In this paper the estimation method of acceleration due to the attitude error only is proposed. Two methods of the attitude calculation depending on vehicle dynamics and the integration method of these two methods are proposed. To verify its performance the monte carlo simulation is performed and shows that it bounds attitude error of ARS to reasonable level.

  • This paper presents the application of adaptive phase-locked loop (adaptive PLL) technique to control the process variable of the process control system. The adaptive algorithm is related to the error. When the error of the system is changed, the adaptive gain will be directly changed according to the error. If the value of the adaptive gain is large, the value of the error will be large. In this experiment, the reference input is 50% step input. The experimental result in controlling the first order lag process by the adaptive PLL shows that the response of the controlled system has no overshoot, short rise time, and zero steady-state error. The experimental result also shows that when the output disturbance enters to the process control system, the adaptive PLL can maintain the stability of the system and the effect of the output disturbance can also be fast rejected.
