조명환경 실측과 시뮬레이션을 통한 주거단지 내 옥외공간 조명계획 (Lighting Plan for Outdoor Space Using Lighting Measurements and Simulations in Residential Areas)

  • 주택단지 옥외공간은 거주자들의 여가활동, 휴식공간, 야간활동 등에 사용된다. 이러한 경향에 의하여 주거단지의 옥외공간이 매우 중요한 공간으로 인식되고 있다. 그러나 옥외공간은 야간이용이 빈번함에 불구하고, 각 공간의 조명계획은 조명기구의 선택과 배치 그리고 조도계획이 부적합하다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구는 옥외공간의 빛의 본질을 파악하고, 옥외공간별 조명환경을 측정 시뮬레이션 분석하였다. 본 논문은 이 사례를 통하여 공간별 목적에 맞는 조도기준 및 조명계획의 방향, 합리적인 유지 방안을 제시하였다.

An Evaluation on Citizens' Satisfaction with the Outdoor Landscape Lighting in Gyeongju Historic Areas - The Case of Wolseong District -

  • The purpose of this study was to survey the citizens for their satisfaction with the outdoor landscape lighting in Gyeongju Historic Areas registered as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in November 2000 and thereupon, provide for some basic data useful to the design of the outdoor landscape lighting for the cultural properties. As a result of examining the conditions of the outdoor landscape lighting in Wolseong Zone of Anapji, Banwolseong, Dongbu Sajeokji, Cheomseongdae and Gyerim, there were found 391 lighting fixtures of 12 types in Anapji, 138 lightings of 4 types in Banwolseong, 38 lightings of 6 types in Cheomseongdae, 28 lightings of 3 types in Dongbu Sajeokji and 54 lightings of 5 types in Gyerim. As a result of analyzing citizens' satisfaction with the outdoor landscape lighting, it was found that citizens were satisfied more or less with the nightscape image changed by the outdoor landscape lighting; their satisfaction scored 3.836 on average for Anapji on a 5-point Likert type scale, 3.516 for Banwolseong, 3.446 for Dongbu Sajeokji, 3.650 for Cheomseongdae and 3.479 for Gyerim. However, citizens' satisfaction with the originality of the nightscape was generally low: 3.055 for Anapji, 2.914 for Cheomseongdae, 2.877 for Banwolseong, 2.847 for Gyerim and 2.665 for Dongbu Sajeokji. On the other hand, since most of the lighting fixtures were installed as inserted lights or floodlights, the color tones of light source were relatively highly distinctive, but the peripheral spaces around the cultural properties were rather dark, which means that citizens were feeling inconvenient more or less for using the amenities such as bench or waste box. All in all, their satisfaction with the outdoor landscape at the sample zone at night scored 2.981, lower than the normal level.

해안가 야간경관조명의 빛공해 평가 - 부산시를 중심으로 - (Light Pollution of Outdoor Lighting in Coastal Area - Focused on Busan City -)

  • 도시공간의 안정과 쾌적함을 위하여 옥외조명은 우리 사회에서 필수적인 부분이 되었다. 그러나 옥외조명을 잘못 설치할 경우 조명에너지의 낭비뿐만 아니라 건축물 야간경관 훼손을 야기시킨다. 최근 야간 경관조명의 중요성이 부각되면서 지자체마다 야간경관 이미지 구축에 집중을 하고 있다. 그 중 해안가 주변의 옥외조명은 지역 내에 특화된 관광 상권을 구성하며 생동감 있는 도시 이미지를 부여하고 도시경쟁력을 강화 시킬 수 있다. 본 연구는 우리나라의 대표적 항구 도시인 부산의 해안가의 야간경관조명의 빛공해를 평가하는데 그 목적이 있다. 디지털 광학 계측기인 Radiant Imaging ProMetric-1400으로 광안리 해수욕장, 마린시티, 그리고 해운대 해수욕장 주변의 옥외조명을 측정하였다. 모든 옥외조명의 휘도는 국제조명위원회 권고기준과 비교했을 때 약 2~20배 정도 높게 나타났다. 주상복합 상부조명 및 해안에 면한 상가 저층부는 색채 및 휘도의 제한이 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

  • Recently, the outdoor lighting of architectural Facade has increased for the improvement of night-scape in urban and coastal resort. The purpose of this research is to analyze lighting characteristics; Luminance, Illuminance, Color Temperature, Chromaticity in Gyengpo Park of Eastern famous coastal resort. The result of this paper is as follows: 1) The Luminance ratio was measured that compare to the 1:10 criterion(IESNA) was in excess to the most building except "K". Because of these condition, Luminance environments was injurious to visual health the overuse of the outdoor lighting or glare to the eyes. 2) The level of vertical Illuminance value was insufficient 33.3% among the cases of survey with 4Lux standard of CIE. 3) The kinds of outdoor lighting of BLDG were increased lighting emitting diode(LED), metal halide(MH) instead of reduction trend of neon, fluorescent light, halogen. As the crisis of Energy resources we will be investigate adapt method of outdoor lighting, which design is based on economical efficiency by the use of optimum lighting.

옥외광고용 발광조명의 야간휘도분포 분석 (Luminance Assessment of Outdoor Lighting for Advertisements at Night)

  • Lighting for outdoor advertising is very common feature of building facades as they provide the information and commercial identification. As the interest of improving street beautification more widely, application of various lighting technologies has been develop for advertisement such as electric sign board and signage. Furthermore, the installation of higher sign luminance than needed has many negative consequences, including higher energy consumption and light pollution. There are now no standard for outdoor advertisements in terms of luminance, and installation of indiscreet outdoor advertisement without luminance consideration is becoming more commonplace. This study was to evaluate the luminous characteristics of outdoor advertising as a function of sign and building facade luminance, luminance ratio. Data were collected on 8 electric sign boards, 20 internally illuminated, externally illuminated, neon, and channel letter signs and 4 commercial areas. Photometric measurements were taken by CS-100(Minolta) and ProMetric-1400(Radiant Imaging) for various sign modes and sign design. Also luminance of building facades were analyzed according with CIE standard of maximum obtrusive light permitted for exterior lighting installations. The findings are as follows; (1) There were excessive luminance of electric sign boards that could affect adjacent building facade and night sky luminance. (2) Sings that are externally illuminated providing an inappropriate amount of light on to the outer surface of the sign caused higher building facade luminance and potential of unnecessary glare.

실외조명 LED용 SMPS의 가속수명시험법 제안 (Suggested Accelerated Life Test Method of SMPS for Outdoor Lighting LED)

  • Purpose: This study has developed the accelerated lifetime test method for smps for outdoor lighting LED through two factors of temperature and humidity. Methods: Acceleration condition was confirmed for each stress and model, and acceleration life test model was estimated according to acceleration condition. Results: As a result of confirming the accelerated life test model, in the case of humidity, acceleration was established only in the foreign products. Therefore, it is confirmed that the acceleration condition is insufficient. However, the estimated parameters for temperature are relatively constant. It is therefore suitable for power supply acceleration tests for outdoor lighting LEDs. Conclusion: The SMPS acceleration test for outdoor lighting LED can improve the availability of the product by developing an accelerated life test method that guarantees the reliability of the product.

MLO 옥외조명 설치지침의 국내 적용성 연구 (The Study of domestic application for the Guideline of Model Outdoor Lighting Ordinance)

  • The outdoor lighting is provided for a variety of purposes, for work or recreation, for safety or security, for amenity and for advertising or display. But the effects of lighting on the natural environment can be difficult to quantify. At present, in many countries, various policies to manage the light trespass from outdoor light have been planned. For example, Model Lighting Ordinance(MLO) will allow communities to drastically reduce light pollution and glare and lower excessive light levels. The recommended practices of the IES can be met using readily available, reasonably priced lighting equipment. So, it this paper, we analyze the effect of road lighting on light trespass using by RELUX program. And then we consider the possibility of practical application of BUG rating in Korea.

아웃도어 웨어 기능성 요구에 따른 스마트 아웃도어 재킷 설계시안 (Draft Proposal of Smart Outdoor Wear upon the Outdoor Wear Functionality Demand)

  • This study revealed the results related to the functionality of outdoor wear required when man and women in their 30s to 50s engage in outdoor activities. Based on the results of the survey, we proposed composition draft for a smart outdoor jacket with main functions of GPS device and light-emitting device using solar cell and EL. Absorption and release of sweat, functionality regarding rain and wind, and lightweightness, etc. from material functionalities of outdoor wear were found to be important. From function required in clothing for outdoor activity, location tracking, night glow, and lighting functions were found to be most important. For results investigating the necessity of the jacket's location tracking function and lighting function using solar cell, high scores of 3.9~4.0 were given. Purchase intentions for smart outdoor jacket with location tracking and lighting functions devised by this study were fairly positive and most responses indicated that the appropriate purchase price was between 200,000 to 300,000 won while possible problems of this smart outdoor jacket were listed in the order of washing inconvenience, high price, device weight, and discomfort in movement. The draft proposal to integrate with wearable devices for smart outdoor jacket prototype is as follows: Solar cell has been attached to the upper arm but placed inside a transparent pocket which has been detachable for washing convenience while the solar cell and controller have been integrated into a single unit. Using frequent movement exhibited by the arms, EL has been attached along the center line of the raglan sleeve for easy spotting when used as an emergency signal or for night lighting function during outdoor activity. GPS has been attached on the left sleeve so that the person can bend the left arm inward and operate the GPS screen with the right hand while walking or running outdoors.

휘도와 색도측면에서 본 역사적 건축물의 야간경관조명 분석 -남대문과 광화문을 중심으로- (An Analysis of Luminance and Chromaticity on Outdoor Lighting of Historic Buildings -focused on Namdaemun and Kwanghwamun-)

  • 본 연구는 최근들어 국가적 차원으로서의 야간경관조명이 활성화 되고있는 시점에서 역사적 건축물의 야간경관조명 연출효과를 조사.분석하였다. 평가대상은 경관조명시설이 설치된 국내 역사적 건축물중 도성의 문의 성격을 띈 남대문, 광화문을 선정하였다. 평가방법은 야간에 조명 현황조사 및 물리량의 측정을 실시하였다. 물리량은 피조면의 휘도 및 색조를 측정하였으며, 이를 토대로 경관조명의 연출효과를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 전체적인 조명방식은 외곽투광기를 이용한 전반조명과 건축물 내부와 하단부에 설치된 조명기구로 상향조명 (기단) 및 엑센트조명(공포)을 병용하고 있다. 조명연출 실태는 기단과 용마루가 강조되고 있어, 용마루선과 기단부가 야간에 역사적 건축물의 이미지를 상징하고 있다. 주간과 야간의 전반적인 색도분포는 주간에는 태양반사광 등의 영향으로 백색의 색도분포를 나타냈고, 야간에는 조며익구의 광색 및 색온도로 인하여 황색의 색도분포를 나타내었다.

충주 호암공원 야간경관 조명실태 및 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Outdoor Lighting Plan at Hoam Park in Chungju)

  • As tourist and cultural city, Chungju city struggles to exploit the new tourism resources including lighting scenic spots. This study aims to analyze the present lighting situations and suggest the alternatives for improving outdoor lightings of Hoamji Park - one of the most famous landmark in Chungju city. For the purpose, field surveys and experiments were performed on selected settings. Illumination levels were measured to compare with the KS standard by using MINOLTA T-10 instruments and some findings were discussed. As a result, some alternatives to improve the park's night images including new lighting concept, lighting fixtures and installations were suggested.
