A Restoration Algorithm using Moving the tie Switch in Distribution System in case of Fault Occur in Power system Substation MTR (변전소 내 주변압기 사고 발생 시 배전계통 연계점 이동을 통한 복구 알고리즘)

  • In this paper proposes a new algorithm of efficiency outage restoration using a outage load switching to a healthy MTR a fault occurrence at a MTR. In addtion, proposed algorithm includes a outage restoration method which keeps MTR optimal capacity with reorganization of distribution network in case it can not restore outage state loads caused by shortage of healthy MTR remain capacity. In case that proposed sequence still can not complete restoration, this paper suggests a efficiency outage restoration with objective function included priority in outage loads.

  • This paper represents improved service restoration algorithm to deal with concurrent multiple outage areas. Restoration sequence is the most important to use backup feeders effectively. In order to decide restoration sequence, the algorithm calculates restorability of each outage area based on fuzzy evaluation of outage load and total backup feeder margin.

  • The Distribution System consist of many tie-line switches and sectionalizing switches, operated a radial type. When an outage occurs in Distribution System, outage areas are isolated by system switches, has to restored as soon as possible. At this time, system operator have to get a information about network topology for service restoration of outage areas. Therefore, the searching result of restorative topology has to fast computation time and reliable result topology for to restore a electric service to outage areas, equal to optimal switching operation problem. So, the problem can be defined as combinatorial optimization problem. The service restoration problem is so important problem which have outage area minimization, outage loss minimization. Many researcher is applying to the service restoration problem with various techniques. In this paper, advanced Dijkstra algorithm is applied to searching a restoration topology, is so efficient to searching a shortest path in graph type network. Additionally, fuzzy rules and operator are applied to overcome a fuzziness of correlation with input data. The present technique has superior results which are fast computation time and searching results than previous researches, demonstrated by example distribution model system which has 3 feeders, 26 buses. For a application capability to real distribution system, additionally demonstrated by real distribution system of KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) which has 8 feeders and 140 buses.

  • This paper presents for service restoration Abstract -in electric power distribution systems. The aim of the service restoration is an emergency control in distribution system to restore out-of service areas as soon as possible when a fault occurs in distribution system. For this reason, this paper presents a new service restoration strategy for multi-outage areas. Proposed algorithm consists of two methods. One is individual restoration scheme, the other one is integrated restoration scheme. The former determines restoration order of outage areas based on restoration index. If the former method can not generate a feasible restoration plan, the latter would try to find new configuration without overloaded section through tie exchange method.

  • It is impossible to take the instant action in the distribution system When fault occures in a substation because operation of the substation and the distribution system are separated. However the power system automation has been studying about unity operation and co-operation between SCADA and DAS(Distribution Automation System). In this paper proposes a new algorithm of efficiency restoration using a outage load switching to a healthy MTR a fault occurrence at a MTR in united system between DAS and SCADA. In addtion, proposed algorithm includes a outage restoration method which keeps MTR optimal capacity with reorganization of distribution network in case it can not restore outage state loads caused by shortage of healthy MTR remain capacity.   • This paper presents the service restoration in electric power distribution systems. The aim of the service restoration is to control an emergency taken place in distribution systems and to restore out-of service areas as soon as possible when a fault occurs in distribution systems. For this reason, new service restoration strategies in multi-outage area are suggested in this paper. The suggested algorithm consist of two schemes. One is an individual restoration scheme, the other is an integrated restoration scheme. The former determines a restoration order of outage areas based on a restoration index. Unless the former scheme can generate a feasible restoration plan, the latter one will try to find out a new configuration without an overloaded section through tie exchange method.

  • This paper presents new service restoration algorithm to deal with multiple faults such as main transformer fault, whole substation fault and simultaneous faults. The most important consideration of restoration planning for multiple outage areas is efficient use of redundant backup feeders. The proposed algorithm tries to restore all outage loads using outage area ordering method and tie switch exchange method that are newly proposed in this paper.

  • This paper represents the fast and efficient load transfer guide for fault or outage restoration in distribution system. For restoration guide, system trace is performed to reverse direction(source side) from tie breaker in tree-structured distribution network. Search space and breaker's combinational number for restoration guide are greatly reduced. It is proposed the load transfer method including first stage restoration(single load transfer, double load transfer, triple load transfer), second stage restoration(transferring load to neighboring feeder in order to expand the capacity margin) and load cutoff guide. The proposed method can be easily applied to primary customer restoration, multi-fault recovery and distribution automation system.

  • This paper identifies the issues of contingency analysis for restoration in distribution systems. Contingency analysis has been applied to transmission systems but not to distribution systems. The distribution system is different from transmission system. So it is hard to apply for existing contingency analysis to distribution system. In this paper, a new contingency analysis method for distribution systems is proposed. The proposed method is based on service restoration capability. It aims to minimize outage left after service restoration in case of a fault in advance. The method estimates the vulnerability which is represented by zone restoration index proposed in [1]. Applying the proposed method, operators could change the system so that it does not leave any outage left after restoration. Case study has been carried out on a five feeder system and its results show effectiveness of the method.

  • This paper presents the improvement and application effect in fault restoration program based on distribution automation system(DAS) of KEPCO. When a fault occurs, fault restoration program can detect fault section based on FI information of DAS, and calculate the best restoration solution by comparing the load capacity of outage area and the spare load capacity of connected distribution lines, and propose switch operating procedure for fault section isolation and outage restoration. Fault restoration program was applied to real field and it was verified that this program is applicable to diverse field cases. By using this fault restoration program to the field human error can be reduced and fault procedure can be more reliable, accurate, and fast.
