Ninety-five surveys out of 120 were collected, and 76 surveys were analyzed. Job satisfaction consisted of four elements, working environment, welfare, human relationships, and job-itself, analyzed by general characteristics. Pearson's correlation was carried out between job satisfaction and intention to change job by Likert 5 scales using SPSS statistic program. The percentages of child daycare centers owned by civilians was 52.6%, high school education level was 65.8%, permanent workers was 68.4%, and less than 1 year of foodservice was 34.2%. Average scores of job satisfaction were as follows: working environment scored 20.6 out of 25 points, welfare scored 10.3 out of 15 points, human relationships scored 17.5 out of 20 points, and job-itself scored 13.2 out of 15 points. The lowest job satisfaction average was 'I get paid fairly regarding the working hours and the amount of work' with a score of 3.6 points. Job satisfaction based on facility type, age, education level, and working period did not show significant differences, whereas hired status, numbers of foodservice children, and intention to change jobs showed significant differences. Hired status showed significant differences with welfare satisfaction (P<0.05). Numbers of children showed a significant difference with welfare and human relationship satisfaction (P<0.01, P<0.05). Intention to change job showed a significant difference with four elements of job satisfaction (P<0.05, P<0.01, P<0.01). In conclusion, to improve job satisfaction of children foodservice employees, working conditions and welfare satisfaction should be increased.

The targets of this study are total 656 children in total. This study can be summarized as below. First, the self-esteem of target children of GATE turned out to be higher than that of nongifted children in overall, social, domestic and school life. Second, the nurturing attitude of parents felt by the target children of GATE is, from both father and mother, more affectionate, autonomous, achievement-oriented and rational. The parents of target children of GATE are more free in communication and fathers are aggressively in education; compared to parents of nongifted children, they put more importance on the course of achievement and help their children's achievement with actual way compared to the parents of nongifted children. Third, the relevance between self-esteem and parents' nurturing attitude is different in sub-areas. The self-esteem at home is the most relevant with parents' nurturing attitude, and the self-esteem at school is more affected by other factors than by the parents' nurturing attitude.

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the nutritional status and nutrition knowledge of upper elementary school children attending a rural type school lunch programs. The subjects of this study consisted of 186 elementary school students in the 5th and 6th grades. Anthropometric measurements were taken for body weight, hight, sitting height, triceps skinfold thickness, and circumferences of midarm and chest. Dietary intakes of nutrients were assessed by modified 24-hour recall method. Test consisted of multiple-cholic items was used to assess nutrition knowledge of subjects. The results are summerized as follows: 1) The children's average body weight were 34.8kg in and 37.6kg in girls. Their average heights were 140.2cm in boys and 143.9cm in girls. Body weight, height, sitting height, triceps skinfold and body surface area of girls were significantly higher than those of boys(p<0.05). Anthropometric data of children approximated to the Korean standards, but were lower than those of children in Seoul and other rural area. 2) Total daily energy and nutrient intakes were below the RDA's, except for intakes of niacin and ascorbic acid. School lunch provided 30.5% of total energy intake ; 3.13% of carbohydrate intake, 30.3% of protein intake and 32.4% of fat intake. Therefore, school lunch largely contributed to the nutritional balance of these children. 3) The mean scores on the nutrition knowledge test of fifth grade and sixth grade students were 16.8(out of possible 40 points) and 23.5 (out of a possible 50 points), respectively. 4) Score of food habit had positive correlations with intakes of protein, iron and niacin. But score of nutrition knoweldge test showed to be only related to intake of ascorbic acid.

  • Until now, There have been few studies to investigate a degree of abilities or interesting about mathematical problem-posing of first and second grades in elementary school. This is due to the fact that this students(1st and 2nd grades) have a limited amount of study time and their minds are not fully developed, and are lacking in their representation of ability to use the national language. This being the case, it is difficult to investigate their Mathematical problem-posing in a practical manner. However, our 7th elementary school Mathematics curriculum emphasizes the teaching and learning of Mathematical problem-posing from a basic level of first and second grade with emphasis on activity in teaming Mathematics. Through this study, having analysed the problems those children posed, I have found out they improved in numbers and correctness of their posed problems. And I too could found out showing to their much interesting and confidence to mathematical problem-posing and could confirmed for the children to admit themselves its merits through analyzing some questions to ask their opinions to it. I expect that this study can help to develop the teaching and learning materials for mathematical problem-posing and also to improve its methods of elementary school mathematics. The next study task is, I think, that it is necessary to accumulate the studies to investigate and analyse the practical learning activities of children for problem-posing contents of mathematics text books.

In other words, girls more often did without meals or didn't have regular eating habit. (2) Boys were more likely to overeat than girls. On the other hand. girls tended not to eat up all food. (3) The 60% of the children, who were given the questionnaire. answered that they were greedy for delicious foods. It shows that good table manner will have to be taught to children. (4) The 70% of the children answered that they were eating the unbalanced meals. It shows that systematic and continuous guidance for correcting unbalanced meals will be necessary to children. Also, considering that the eating habit of unbalanced meals is more serious in lower grade students, the children will have to learn about balanced meals from lower grade. (5) The research showed that the children were eating out more often than before and that the 90% of the children were eating snacks. So, the table manner when eating out and food selection for snack will have to be taught to children systematically. (6) The children were likely to prefer rice to cereals and to prefer meat to fish. (7) The children tended to like fried food better than any ether food. In addition, they showed higher preference for instant foods like noodles. Therefore, the systematic guidance will be necessary for children not to select acidified fried food.
