Objectives : This study was performed to review the overseas clinical research trends on the effect of On cheong eum on skin disease. Methods : We searched articles in the Pubmed using keywords "On cheong eum", "On sei in", "Wen qing yin", "Jie du si wu tang" and "Jie du si wu decoction". We also searched in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) using key words "温清饮" and "解毒四物汤", We selected 5 studies after excluding non-clinical or unrelated studies. Results : One pre-post comparison study and four controlled clinical trials were performed. On cheong eum and modified On cheong eum were used for the treatment of skin disease-recurrent aphthous ulcer, psoriasis vulgaris, neurodermatitis, and skin pruritus. All of the studies showed positive results, and they reported that the treatment group had higher effective rate than control group. However, the quality of these clinical studies were not evaluated. Conclusions : According to this study, On cheong eum would be an effective and safe intervention in skin disease. Therefore, based on this study, more clinical research using On cheong eum should be performed in Korean medicine in the near future.

Objectives : The aim of this study is to report the effects of Yangdokbaekho-tang and Hwangryunhaedok-Tang wet dressing on the treatment of erythrotelangiectatic rosacea patient. Methods : A patient with Erythrotelangiectatic Rosacea treated with Yangdokbaekho-tang, Hwangryunhaedok-Tang wet dressing and acupuncture. We evaluated the score(frequency ${\times}$ intensity) of the hot flush, the main symptom of rosacea and NRS(numeral rating scale) for the subjective symptom. Results : After treatment, the score of the hot flush decrease from 20 to 6. the NRS changed and NRS score improved from 7 to 1. There are no adverse effects and no relapse of erythrotelangiectatic rosacea after 18 days of discharge. Conclusions : According to the result, Korean Medicine such as Yangdokbaekho-tang and Hwangryunhaedok-tang wet dressing can be effective for the treatment of erythrotelangiectatic rosacea.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report three cases of Korean medical treatment for sudden sensorineural hearing loss(SSHL). Methods : This study conducted with three sensorineural hearing loss patients who hospitalized in Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology & Dermatology Clinic of Korean Medical Hospital. Three patients were treated with herbal medicine(Sunkihwalhyeol-tang, Ikgibohyeol-tang, Gongjindan) and acupuncture. After treatment, we evaluated Siegel's Criteria with pure tone audiometry and subjective symptoms alteration. Results : All three patients were completely recovery about Siegel's Criteria and improved subjective symptoms after treatment. Conclusions : This study suggests that Korean medical treatment may be effective about SSHL.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report three cases of Korean medical treatment for acute benign paroxysmal positional vertigo(BPPV). Methods : This study was conducted with three acute benign paroxysmal positional vertigo patients who hospit alized in Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology & Dermatology Clinic of Korean medical Hospital. Three patients were treated with Korean medical treatment including herbal medicine(Banhabaeckchulchunma-tang), acupuncture, p harmacopuncture(Hwangryunhaedok-tang). After treatment, we evaluated subjective symptoms. Results : The results of three patient showed remarkable improvements on subjective symptoms after the treatment. Conclusions : It is considered that Korean medical treatment can be applied to the treatment of BPPV.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to retrospectively analyze 3 years of inpatient dermatologic and surgical consultation to Korean medicine ophthalmology, otolaryngology & dermatology department in Korean medicine hospital. Methods : We classified dermatological and surgical inpatient consultations between September 1st, 2019 and August 31st, 2022, based on electronic medical record by gender, age, hospitalized department, categories of diseases. Results : Total number of consultations were 336. The proportion of female and male were 2.5:1, and the average of age was 65.6 and 60, respectively. The most frequently referred skin disease category was infectious skin disease(39.9%), followed by eczema(20.2%), dermatoses due to physical forces(10.1%), pigment anomalies(7.1%), nevi and tumors(4.8%), diseases of the skin appendages(4.2%), urticaria(3.9%), and others(4.9%). Consultations from department of Korean rehabilitation medicine, and Korean internal medicine were most common, because they have a comparatively large number of inpatients and long hospitalization period. In case of infectious disease and skin ulcer, patients from Korean internal medicine were frequently consulted due to characteristics of stroke and internal diseases. Conclusions : This study identified the frequency of consultation and the disease group with many requests for each department. Identifying the characteristics of diseases with a high frequency of consultation will prevent various dermatological problems that may occur by department. In addition, it was found that a prompt consultation was needed for accurate diagnosis and treatment in dermatological problem.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report a case of Korean medicine on acute radiation dermatitis. Methods : This study was conducted with an acute radiation dermatitis patient who hospitalized in ophthalmology, otolaryngology & dermatology clinic of Korean medical hospital. The patient was treated with Korean medicine including acupuncture, wet dressing, herbal ointment and phototherapy. We evaluated the patient's subject symptoms before and after treatment using the VAS scale and CTCAE. Results : The patient's subjective symptoms were improved after treatment. Conclusions : It is considered that Korean medicine could be applied to the treatment of acute radiation dermatitis.

The case report of migrating ingested fish bone presenting as an unresolving inflamed neck mass is rare. The diagnosis must be suspected in a patient with an unresolving inflamed cutaneous lesion, especially one with a punctum, the tenderness of the lesion elicited on swallowing and the presence of a palpable subcutaneous neck mass. In such a patient, a history of recent foreign body ingestion must be actively sought. An accurate early diagnosis of this easily treatable condition is desirable because it could avert unnecessary delays, inconveniences, anxiety, costs, and surgery. The authors experienced a case of lateral neck mass resulting from the migration of a fish bone which was successfully removed by surgical exploration and made a report with a review of literature.

A female visited the Dept. of Oriental Ophthamology & Otolaryngology & Dermatology, Dong-eui University with Facial Nerve Palsy in Herpes Zoster Oticus. She had been taking ill with chronic hepatitis B and taking western medicine. We treated a patient with only Oriental Medicine.(the herbal medication and acupuncture etc). Because she was afraid of herbal medicine -induced hepatitis, went through an examination about LFT profile regularly. The symptom of Herpes Zoster Oticus was improved and there was no abnormality in LFT profile. Through this case, we thought that it is possible to treat the other disease of the patient with chronic hepatitis using herbal medication without hepatotoxic hepatitis. But for the safety of patient and doctor in several case, we need to accumulate objective data about the side effect of herbal medications inducing hepatotoxic hepatitis.

The tinnitus is a very common otorhinolaryngologic disease. But, we do not know the exact cause and the healing method of that. We have a case report of the patient who has both tinnitus during two years. He has also chest distress, chest pain, shoulder.neck pain, obesity. In Oriental Medicine, the cuases of tinnitus have diagnosed as the hepatic fire, phlegm-fire, heart fire, deficiency of the kidney, deficiency of vital energy and blood, and so on. In this study the patient classified by Sasang constitutional medicine, and the cuase of tinnitus diagnosed as cold turbid phlegm in Middle Cho, had a medical effects. And in the result, the other symptoms are reduced. So we report the healing process and result of this patient in this study.

Objective : This Study was conducted in order to develop the Learning Satisfaction (LS)and Learning Flow Scale(LFS) for Korean Medical Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology & Dermatology and to investigate the reliability and validity. Methods : LF and LFS were administered to 44 students and 20 resident physicians . We examined the test-retest reliability, internal consistency and perfomed factor analysis. Result : 1. Test-retest reliability were reliable on LS and LFS for Korean Medical Ophathalmology & Otolaryngology.2. Test-retest reliability were unreliable comparatively on LS and LFS for Korean Medical Dermatology.3. internal consistency were all reliable in LS and LFS Korean Medical Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology & Dermatology.4. factor analysis were reliable only LS of Korean Medical Dermatology. Conclusions : LS and LFS has reliability to measure learning satisfaction and learning flow of Korean Medical students. But there is no evidence about validity of LS and LFS for Korean Medical Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology & Dermatology.
