Effect of the quality of gochujang on purchasing and recommendation intentions

  • This study analyzed the effect of the intrinsic and extrinsic attributes of gochujang, Korean red chili paste, on purchasing intention and recommendation intention for consumption. Survey participants were female, married, aged 30 - 39 years, and highly educated with graduation from a university. Most participants purchased gochujang 1 - 2 times per year, most commonly at a shopping mall, and acquired information on the gochujang product from an advertisement or sponsored TV shows. For the factor analysis, five variables for intrinsic quality were considered: namely, healthiness, economics, convenience, diversity, and sense, whereas three variables were considered for extrinsic quality: trust, external appearance, and image. The factor analysis also confirmed the correlation between the validity and the reliability of the purchasing and recommendation intentions. The effect of intrinsic quality of gochujang on purchasing and recommendation intentions was tested through a multiple regression analysis. The purchase intention was most significantly affected by healthiness, cost, and convenience. On the other hand, the recommendation intention was most significantly affected by the diversity and, to a lesser degree, by the healthiness of the product. Among the extrinsic qualities, trust of consumers and the product appearance had a significant effect on purchasing intention. Recommendation intention was significantly affected by the appearance. And trust significantly influenced the recommendation. Therefore, a concrete and systematic marketing approach considering these factors.

온라인 구매후기 작성동기가 패션제품 재구매의도 및 추천의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Online Review Writing Motives of Internet Shopping on Repurchase Intention and Recommendation Intention about Fashion Merchandise)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the online review writing motives of online shopping on repurchase intention and recommendation intention about fashion merchandise. The questionnaire was administered to 279 people who had experience in online shopping. The data were analyzed by utilizing factor analysis, multiple regression analysis and t-test. The results of this study were as follow. First, the online review writing motives were divided into three categories such as benefit pursuit/hedonic shopping value, information transmission and evaluation. Second, the consumer who has experience of writing review prefers to repurchase other products in that online shopping mall and to recommend those products more than the consumer who doesn't have that experience. Third, the benefit pursuit/hedonic and information transmission had an effect on repurchasing intention and recommendation intention.

  • The study of behavioral intention in the fashion industry, until recently, focused on the variables of satisfaction and the intention of purchase, and were limited to specific individuals who were fashion consumers. It was found that variables of intention of recommendation have a greater impact on many other potential customers from a study on consumer behavioral intention. Thus, this study seeks to examine the relationship between the selection factors of collaboration fashion products and preference, and the relationship between preference and the intention of purchase. Moreover, the purpose of this research is to find the influence of relationships between selective factors of collaboration fashion products and the intention of recommendation. The 'intention of recommendation' was set as a dependent variable, that influences the relationship between preference and intention of recommendation. For empirical analysis, SPSS 25.0 software was used to conduct frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis based on a survey results conducted upon 217 people in their 20s. The empirical analysis results are as follows: First, collaboration fashion product selection factors consisted of 'product originality', 'designers and artists' reputation', 'product reliability', and 'products' aesthetic impression'. Second, the selection factors of fashion products had a positive influence on product preferences. Third, the preference for collaboration fashion products had an influence on intention of purchase and intention of recommendation. Fourth, collaboration fashion product selection factors affected intention of purchase. Fifth, selection factors of collaboration fashion products were found to have a significant impact on the intention recommendation.

의료서비스 질적 요인에 따른 종합병원 선택에 관한 연구: SERVQUAL 모델 적용을 중심으로 (Hospital Choice: Which Type of Healthcare Service Quality Matter?)

  • The research is to examine medical service quality factors affecting choice of hospital(revisiting intention, and recommendation) in large general hospitals based on the SERVQUAL model. The study have surveyed 400 respondents in Gangbuk-gu not having any tertiary hospital. The main results of the analyses indicate: 1) 'assurance' and 'empathy' of medical service are basically, positively affect revisiting intention and recommendation; 2) 'empathy' is the most important factor affecting revisiting intention; and 3) 'tangibility' significantly affects recommendation of general hospitals to other people. The study suggests that it is necessary to pay more attention on 'empathy' among SERVQUAL factors to increase satisfaction of patients and to find better ways of improving medical service quality.

지역축제 이미지가 방문객의 만족도, 재방문 및 추천의사에 미치는 영향 : 제주도세기축제 중심으로 (Effects the Satisfaction, Revisit and Intention of Recommendation by the Image of the Local Festival : Focused on The Pork Festival in Jeju)

  • 본 연구는 지역축제에 참가한 방문객들이 느끼는 지역축제에 대한 이미지를 파악하고, 축제에 대한 이미지가 방문객의 만족도, 재방문 및 추천의사에 미치는 영향, 그리고 방문객의 만족도가 축제를 다시 찾고자하는 재방문 및 추천의사에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과, 지역축제 이미지 요인은 인지적 이미지, 정서적 이미지, 시설 이미지와 같이 3가지 요인으로 도출되었으며, 3가지 요인 모두가 방문객이 느끼는 지역축제의 시설 만족도에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인으로 나타났지만, 운영만족도에는 정서적 이미지만이 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 축제의 재방문 및 추천의사를 향상시키기 위해서는 인지적이미지, 정서적 이미지, 시설 이미지 중에서도 축제장 접근성, 주변관광지와 축제장 연계, 축제장소의 적정성, 그리고 축제장과 주변환경의 조화 등과 같은 축제장에 대한 인지적 이미지, 즉 축제장의 입지요소가 가장 먼저 고려되어야 함을 시사하고 있다. 따라서 방문객의 만족도와 재방문 및 추천의사를 동시에 향상시키기 위해서는 무엇보다도 우선적으로 인지적 이미지 향상에 노력해야 한다.

대형선망어업의 내부마케팅이 선원태도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 -성취욕구 조절효과 중심으로- (A Study on the Effect of Internal Marketing of Central Purse Seine Fisheries on Crewmen's Attitude - A Focus on the Moderating Effects of Need-for-Achievement -)

  • This survey was conducted with crewmen on large purse seines in order to increase satisfaction of crewmen. The degree of fulfillment of internal marketing on crewmen (internal communication, empowerment, welfare benefits, management support, and reward system), satisfaction of crewmen, turnover intention, recommendation intention and need for achievement were examined. 200 surveys were distributed and 150 surveys were returned, among which insincere responses were excluded to analyze 146 responses. The results are as follows. First, factors of internal marketing that influence satisfaction of crewmen include empowerment, welfare benefits, and reward system. Second, turnover intention was reduced and recommendation intention was increased with increasing satisfaction of crewmen. Third, while need for achievement moderated the relationship between satisfaction of crewmen and turnover intention, it did not moderate the relationship between satisfaction of crewmen and recommendation intention. In other words, stronger need of crewmen for achievement causes greater negative(-) effect of crewmen's satisfaction on turnover intention.

IT환경에서 온라인쇼핑몰의 브랜드 개성이미지와 쇼핑가치, 고객만족 및 추천의도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Brand Personality Image, Shopping Value, Customer Satisfaction and Recommendation Intention in the IT Environment)

  • 본 연구는 온라인 쇼핑몰의 브랜드 개성이미지요인을 도출하여 브랜드 개성과 쇼핑가치, 고객만족 및 추천의도와의 관련성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 쇼핑몰의 브랜드 개성은 '활기', '친숙함', '신뢰성', '유능함', '세련성' 등으로 도출되었다. 둘째, 쇼핑가치는 쾌락적 쇼핑가치와 실용적 쇼핑가치로 도출되었다. 셋째, 쇼핑몰의 브랜드 개성은 쇼핑가치에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 소비자의 쇼핑가치는 고객만족 및 추천의도에 서로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구는 경쟁이 심화되고 있는 국내 온라인 쇼핑몰시장에서 차별화된 마케팅전략을 수립하는 데 있어서 기초적인 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.

외국인 환자의 의료서비스 만족도, 재방문 의사, 추천 의사에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting International Patient's Satisfaction with Korea Medical Services, Revisit and Recommendation Intention)

  • Background: This study aims to analyze quality of and satisfaction with Korea medical services and identify factors affecting medical service satisfaction, revisit, and recommendation intention among international patients. Methods: Secondary analysis of survey data conducted by Korea Health Industry Development Institute from June 10th to July 17th in 2013 was done using multiple regression and logistic regression analysis. The 191 international patients from 9 medical institutions in Seoul were enrolled. Results: The results showed that international patients were satisfied with 85.6 points out of 100.0 points. International patients appraised higher in staff service rather than other services. Factors influencing medical service satisfaction were gender, religion, medical specialty, length of stay, and quality of medical services. Quality of medical service explained 29.8% of medical service satisfaction and especially, 'doctor's care' and 'communication and patient respect' were significantly related to medical service satisfaction. Medical specialty had a significant influence on revisit intention. There were no statistically significant influencing factors of recommendation intention. Additionally, more satisfied patients were associated with higher revisit and recommendation intention. Conclusion: This study implies that quality of medical services is a critical factor for patient satisfaction and that satisfaction with medical services is an important factor for increasing revisit and recommendation intention among international patients. In addition, health care providers should consider cultural differences to enhance satisfaction with medical services for international patients. Therefore, multidimensional strategy is required to strengthen the cultural competency of healthcare providers.

When Do Consumers Get More Delighted? : Role of Surprise and Attribute Importance

  • Purpose - Customer Delight is an important issue for firms and academia since delighted consumers reveal higher repurchase intentions than merely satisfied consumers and become loyal consumers. This research investigates customer delight, especially focusing on the role of surprise and attribute importance via experiment. Research design, data, and methodology - An experiment consisting of experiment, reference, and control group was performed with virtual online bookstore. For the analysis, one-way ANOVA and post-hoc analysis (LSD) were performed. Results - The experiment group that was delighted with surprise revealed the highest repurchase intention and recommendation intention among the other groups (H1 supported). Then each group was divided into attribute importance high and attribute importance low. For the group that was delighted in important attribute revealed higher repurchase and recommendation intention than the group that was delight in less important attribute (H2 supported). Conclusions - This research contributes academically for investigating the research area of customer delight and focusing on the role of surprise and attribute importance. For practical implications, this research provides information about customer delight and its several moderating variables that it is important to delight customers with surprising experience and focusing on an important attribute that consumers perceive not on a less important attribute.

구독형 OTT 서비스 특성이 이용자 만족과 지속 사용 의도에 미치는 영향: 넷플릭스 이용자를 대상으로 (Effects of Service Characteristics of a Subscription-based OTT on User Satisfaction and Continuance Intention: Evaluation by Netflix Users)

  • 본 연구는 넷플릭스의 서비스 특성 요인을 콘텐츠 다양성, 요금제 적절성, 추천 시스템, N-스크린 서비스, 몰아보기, 서비스 품질 등 6개 차원으로 구분하고, 각 차원이 이용자 만족과 지속 사용 의도에 미치는 영향에 어떤 역할을 하는지 알아보고자 한다. 본 연구는 넷플릭스 서비스를 이용한지 1년 미만인 신규 가입자 202명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 넷플릭스 서비스의 콘텐츠 다양성, 추천 시스템, 몰아보기 기능, 서비스 품질은 이용자 만족에 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 넷플릭스 서비스 특성 인식이 지속 사용 의도에 미치는 직접 효과와 이용자 만족을 통해 영향을 미치는 간접 효과를 분석한 결과, 먼저 N-스크린 서비스는 지속 사용 의도에 직접 효과도 간접 효과도 모두 미치지 않았다. 반면에 콘텐츠 다양성, 추천 시스템, 몰아보기 기능과 서비스 품질은 지속 사용 의도에 대한 직접 효과는 유의미하지 않았지만, 이용자 만족을 통한 간접 효과는 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 요금제 적절성은 지속 사용 의도에 미치는 직접 효과가 유의미했지만 이용자 만족을 통한 간접 효과가 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 이용자 만족과 지속 사용 의도는 예측한 바와 같이 유의미한 정적 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다.
