  • Export Intermediaries engage in an exporter's side transaction with an importer's side, both of which are customers of these intermediaries. Therefore, dyadic perspectives implied in conventional theories of customer orientation should be revised to apply to a triadic relationship systemin indirect export settings. The present manuscript proposed that customer orientation of export intermediaries consists of total customer orientation toward both the exporter and importer sides and customer orientation asymmetry, which is customer orientation in favor of the exporter relative to the importer side, and examines the antecedents and outcomes of these orientations. It is posited that each side attention increases total customer orientation and customer orientation asymmetry toward exporters or importers. These positive effects would be weaker when importers and exporters interact directly versus indirectly and would be stronger when the offering prices vary versus remain stable during negotiations. Lastly, total customer orientation would increase export intermediaries' performance by itself and in interaction with customer attention. Nonetheless, orientation asymmetry would increase their outcomes in line with customer attention.

  • This study aimed to investigate the relationship between values orientation and fashion image orientation with a focus on the new senior generation. The study conducted data analysis by using the SPSS 17.0 program for the final 397 copies excluding incomplete questionnaires. The results of this study are as follows. First, values orientation was drawn as the four factors of social orientation, dependent orientation, family-like orientation, and individual orientation. The fashion image orientation was compartmentalized as three factors: urban image, individual image, and feminine image. Second, social orientation had a significant effect on feminine image as shown in Photo 1, while only individual orientation exerted a significant influence on individual image (Photo 2). Social orientation and family-like orientation respectively exercised a significant influence on individual image and feminine image, and feminine image (Photo 3). Third, the four groups did not show a significant difference in the relationship with the sub-elements of fashion image orientation. It appeared that all four groups were felt as a complex image in which modern, feminine, and individual images were mixed. Fourth, the four groups showed a significant difference in the unusual, elegant, refined, youthful, feminine, and modern images among the factors of fashion image orientation.

  • This paper examines how learning orientation and self-efficacy contributed to explaining innovation behaviors. In order to verify the relationships and mediating effect, data were collected from 368 individuals in employees working in small and medium-sized firms at Gyeongnam region to test theoretical model and its hypotheses. All data collected from the survey were analyzed using with SPSS 18.0. This study reports findings as follows: first, the relationship between the learning orientation and the employee's self-efficacy is positively related. Second, there was also a positive correlation between the employee's self-efficacy and the innovation behaviors. Third, the relationship between the learning orientation and the innovation behaviors is positively related. Finally, the employee's self-efficacy played as a partial mediator on the relationship between learning orientation and innovation behaviors. Based on these findings, the implications and the limitations of the study were presented including some directions for future studies.

  • This research explored the main and interactive effects of service employee market orientation, service creativity, and national culture(Korea and Japan). To test the hypotheses, responses were collected from 196 Korean and 195 Japan hotel service employee samples. The results showed that service employee market orientation(customer orientation, competitor orientation, and interfunctional coordination) has a positive relationship with service creativity. Also, national culture moderates the relationship between service employee market orientation and service creativity, thereby implying the positive relationship between competitor orientation and service creativity is stronger in Korea than in Japan. In contrast, the positive relationship between interfunctional coordination and service creativity is stronger in Japan than in Korea. Theoretical implications of our findings and practical recommendations for how to address the impact of market orientation on service creativity are discussed.

Moreover, this research tries to provide implications regarding effective human resource management strategies based on competency to strengthen job satisfaction and customer orientation by testifying the effect relationship of job satisfaction with the relationship between personal competency and guest orientation. Research design, data, methodology By targeting chefs working in five starred hotels in Seoul, the surveys have been distributed from April 1st of 2017 to April 20th of 2017 (approximately 20 days). Out of 300 distributed surveys, 250 were collected, and 246 were used, excepting 4, unhonestly answered. Results - It has been analyzed that a hotel chef's personal competency, self-control ability, customer orientation competency, interpersonal relation competency, gumption, and professional competency has a significant effect on job satisfaction, however, it has been identified that gumption has no impact on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has a significant impact on customer orientation. Lastly, there is a control effect on job satisfaction and customer orientation by organizational commitment Conclusions - It is able to propose the solutions to improve customer orientation, job satisfaction and organizational commitment of a hotel chef and the ways for human resource management.

  • Purpose - This study investigates the effect of strategic orientation on market performance with emphasis on the mediative role of innovation capability, economic value and relational value in food producer companies. Research design, data, and methodology - In this descriptive study, a population of 244 managers and employees of Food industry companies in Tehran were investigated. The respondents filled a questionnaire on strategic orientation, innovation capability, economic value, relational value and market performance, during January to August 2018. Reliability and validity were evaluated by Cronbach's alpha coefficient and confirmatory factor analysis. To analyze the data, Spearman's correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling were used by SmartPLS software. Results - Effects of competitor's orientation and technology orientation on all three intermediary variables were positive and significant. The effect of customer orientation on innovation and economic value was positive and significant, but the effect of customer orientation on the value of the relationship was insignificant. Furthermore, entrepreneurial orientation has a positive and significant effect on innovation capability. The effects of three mediator variables on market performance are positive and significant. Conclusions - As the relationship between the mediator variables and market performance were positive and significant, companies should have a comprehensive plan of focus on strengthening these variables.

  • For venturing into international markets, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have not only emphasized internal resources but entrepreneurial orientation has also become the need of the day due to its significant role in increasing firm's competitive capabilities. Although research indicates that the competitive strategies can significantly impact export performance, minor attention is given to the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation, business competitive strategy and export performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This study scrutinizes the effect of each dimension of entrepreneurial orientation (i.e., innovativeness, risk-taking, and proactiveness) and each of generic competitive strategies (i.e., cost leadership and differentiation) on the export performance of Chinese SMEs. And we investigated the moderating effect of entrepreneurial orientation on the relationship between the competitive strategies and export performance. We surveyed 217 Chinese SMEs through a structured questionnaire. For the data analysis and hypotheses testing, we used AMOS. 27. The findings display that differentiation and cost leadership strategies significantly improve export performance. The innovativeness, risk-taking and proactiveness also spur Chinese SME's export performance. Further we find that adding entrepreneurial orientation significantly improves our model of the relationship between the competitive strategies and export performance. Thus, our study extends the entrepreneurial orientation literature and provides interesting new insights into how entrepreneurial orientation helps firms create more successful export operations.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the structural relationship among logistics service quality, relationship-orientation for on-line shopping malls, customer satisfaction and repurchase intention in on-line shopping malls. Based on extensive review of relevant literature, nine components of logistics service quality and six components of relationship orientation are introduced in this study. And a conceptual model is developed and four research hypotheses are empirically examined using structural equation modeling. The findings indicate that logistics service quality is positively and significantly associated with customer satisfaction, and relationship- orientation is the antecedent variable of repurchase intention in the on-line shopping mall. In conclusion, it is revealed that logistics service quality and relationship-orientation play a major role in the success of on-line shopping mall.
