  • Courier and logistics services such as customer contact employees (customer-contact employee) of the attitudes and behavior of the customer satisfaction level of service quality evaluation and a very big impact. In this study, using a typical customer contact employees, and to target the delivery service industry employees the organization's service orientation and customer orientation by examining the impact on the quality of companies within the organization for growth and development needs and the importance of service orientation will be trying out for. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, the chief executive of the organization to configure a service orientation and a detailed understanding of the factors that determine this by managing the organization to effectively come up with a way to make and ultimately the organization's service orientation, organizational culture can be positioned as effort should be taken. Second, service companies through regular training and education to maintain a certain level of service quality should be. Third, the service organization's service orientation is not a fad or a means of sustain and develop the company's survival strategy is to get out. To do this, good communication between the field and management can be achieved by a variety of channels to be established, and management's willingness to provoke sympathy for the employees should be provided.

  • For fabricating high T$\sub$c/ superconducting deposited film, novel electrophoretic deposition technique applied to deposit surface charged Particles on metal substrate with oxy d.c field has been studied. The electric properties of superconducting film don't improve easily because the particles of deposition film are deposited randomly on substrate and don't make orientation affected to its critical current density. In this paper, we studied conventional electrophoresis in addition to a.c field assisted for the improvement of BSCCO superconducting film with high orientation of deposition particles.

  • Entrepreneurship is considered as an important driver of economic growth, new firm creation, business rejuvenation& job creation. Over a period of time research within entrepreneurship literature has shifted from entrepreneur and his personality to his behavioral disposition. This has led to emergence of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) construct, which focuses on the process of entrepreneurship at firm level and it has emerged as the most widely researched area within entrepreneurship field. Though research in this field has been rigorous and exhaustive, still there have been concerns that researchers might have prematurely agreed on the composition, dimensionality, and nature of EO Construct. There has been considerable debate about whether EO Construct comprises three or five dimensions, about co-variance or independence of these dimensions and nature of construct whether formative or reflective. This article builds an argument about the multidimensional nature of EO construct comprising five dimensions, which vary independently and the fact that EO is better explained through formative construct rather than reflective one.

An Investigation on the Effect of Duration of Sunshine on the Heating Energy of Apartment Houses (일조시간이 아파트 난방에너지 소비량에 미치는 영향에 관한 조사연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of sunshine on the heating energy consumption of apartment houses by a field investigation in Haeundae, Busan. In the field, heating energy consumption of every household is researched by reading a calorimeter and the duration of sunshine of every household is calculated by Sunlight V1.0. Then, the duration of sunshine and heating energy are done regression analysis by SPSS 10. According to this study the apartment houses by orientation spend more energies order of east, west, southeast, southwest, and south. When apartment houses are same orientation, there is difference of $29{\sim}58\%$ in heating energy consumption by the duration of sunshine. And the heating energy consumption in worst condition of sunshine increases $67\%$ on the best condition of sunshine.

  • Copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) Field-effect transistors (FETs) was successfully fabricated on plastic substrates. Orientation of CuPc crystallites on substrate could be obtained via rubbing process. It was revealed that CuPc crystallites were perpendicularly aligned on PES substrates with the rubbing direction. The performance of FETs was affected by orientation of CuPc on rubbed substrates.

The Mediating Effect of Professionalism in the Relationship between Clinical Competence and Field Adaptation in Newly Graduated Nurses (신규간호사의 임상수행능력과 현장적응의 관계에서 전문직업성의 매개효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effect of professionalism in the relationship between clinical competence and field adaptation in newly graduated nurses. Methods: The participants in this study were 213 nurses from four tertiary hospitals who had less than 12 months of nursing experience. Data were collected during January and February, 2013. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, and path analysis with the SPSS/WIN 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs. Results: The mean score for clinical competence was $2.85{\pm}0.25$, for professionalism, $3.10{\pm}0.30$, and for field adaptation, $2.79{\pm}0.37$. There was a significant positive relationship between clinical competence and field adaptation. Also, professionalism was positively correlated with field adaptation. Professionalism showed mediating effects between clinical competence and field adaptation. Improvement of clinical competence increased professionalism and the increased professionalism raised the field adaptation. Conclusion: Based on these findings, orientation programs including strategies to increase professionalism, should be established to promote effective field adaptation in newly graduated nurses. These orientation programs can strengthen professionalism, the mediator between clinical competence and field adaptation in newly graduated nurses.

Mobile phone as a fashion product: Comparing fashion behaviors in clothing and mobile phone (패션상품으로서의 모바일폰: 의상과 모바일폰에서의 패션행동 비교 연구)

  • As mobile phone has acquired a status of a fashion item expressing one's character, it is necessary to understand the fashion needs for this new fashion product. The purpose of this study was to apply the fashion orientation construct developed in the clothing research field to mobile phone and explore its validity. The multi-dimensional construct of fashion orientation which most widely represented the fashion aspects was examined for the two product categories of clothing and mobile phone. Data were collected from an online questionnaire survey, and a total of 1,136 responses were analyzed. The construct structure of fashion orientation of mobile phone resulted in individuality, innovation, and fashion was different from that of clothing extracted to interest/importance, fashion/innovation, and individuality. Fashion sensitivity and an early adoption of a new product were two different dimensions in mobile phone while not separable in clothing. Despite a higher predictability of the fashion/innovation orientation of clothing on fashion orientation rather than on innovation orientation of mobile phone, innovation orientation was more important to purchase behaviors of mobile phone. The study still implies that it is valid to use clothing fashion innovative consumers for mobile phone marketing.

The Impact of Service Orientation on Organizational Performance in Public Sectors: Empirical Evidence from Indonesia

  • The importance of the public sector's role in fostering a positive business climate has prompted public sector organizations to consistently enhance their performance. The study aims to develop service orientation dimensions for public sectors and examine the relationship between service orientation and organizational performance. A field survey was employed in this study. Six hundred questionnaires were distributed, and four hundred and eighty-eight were returned and analyzed. Factor analysis and multiple regression analysis were used in the dataset. This study identifies five dimensions of organizational service orientation in public sector service organizations: technology-service standard-communication, service vision, service delivery, service training and powering, and servant leadership. The result also concludes that service orientation influences organizational performance, such as corporate growth, service quality image, IT effectiveness, service innovation, and public complaint. This study's findings imply that public sector organizations should rectify service orientation factors to increase corporate growth, service quality image, IT effectiveness, service innovation, and public complaint reduction. Managerial guidelines are presented for developing a service orientation.

Orientation and thickness dependence of magnetic levitation force and trapped magnetic field of single grain YBa2Cu3O7-y bulk superconductors

  • The effects of the crystallographic orientation and sample thickness on the magnetic levitation forces (F) and trapped magnetic field (B) of single grain YBCO bulk superconductors were examined. Single grain YBCO samples with a (001), (110) or (100) surface were used as the test samples. The samples used for the force-distance (F-d) measurement were cooled at 77 K without a magnetic field (zero field cooling, ZFC), whereas the samples used for the B measurement were cooled under the external magnetic field of a Nd-B-Fe permanent magnet (field cooling, FC). It was found that F and B of the (001) surface were higher than those of the (110) or (100) surface, which is attributed to the higher critical current density ($J_c$) of the (001) surface. For the (001) samples with t=5-18 mm, the maximum magnetic levitation forces ($F_{max}s$) of the ZFC samples were larger than 40 N. About 80% of the applied magnetic field was trapped in the FC samples. However, the F and B decreased rapidly as t decreased below 5 mm. There exists a critical sample thickness (t=5 mm for the experimental condition of this study) for maintaining the large levitation/trapping properties, which is dependent on the material properties and magnitude of the external magnetic fields.

Capability, Service Orientation, and Performance in the Investment Management Industry

  • Prior research has emphasized the significant effect of service orientation on organizational performance. However, little research on service orientation has been conducted in the financial field, including the investment management service industry in which high quality service for clients is required. In this paper, we propose a research model that centers on the concept of service orientation as a type of dynamic capability affecting firm performance. The research variables include job competency, risk management capability, operational capability, service orientation, and service performance. We assume that service orientation partially mediates the effects of risk management capability and operational capability on service performance. To test the model, we collected data from 391 fund managers in 86 teams (37 investment management companies) and analyzed it with partial least squares (PLS) method. Each of the 391 fund managers was asked to answer team level measures, which is effective for team level analysis. We find that job competency positively affects both risk management capability and operational capability, which in turn affect service orientation. Risk management capability and operational capability are assumed to directly affect service performance. However, risk management capability does not influence perceived service performance, whereas operational capability does affect it. This result indicates that risk management capability does not directly affect service performance. However, via service orientation, considering that risk management inconveniences customers and is geared to enhance service orientation, service performance is positively affected. Operational capability does not influence service orientation, whereas it affects perceived service performance. This result reveals that operational capability directly affects firm performance. As expected, service orientation significantly affects the service performance perception of fund managers. This study contributes to the literature by introducing service orientation to the financial industry and measures and tests team-level service performance. Our findings also provide insights to practitioners because to enhance team performance, managers must focus on service orientation in addition to operational capability.
