In general, three are many degrees of freedom (DOF) in industrial robots. That can generate several special end-effector's positions and orientations. For that reason, industrial robots are used in a wide scope of industrial applications such as welding, spray painting, deburring, and so on. In this research, new method is presented which safely maintain the desired constant end-effector's orientation and minimize the numbers of segments in path. These algorithms may apply to welding, painting, and assembling. The simulation study of straight line and circular motions in arc-welding operations is carried out to show the sure proof of these algorithms.
An image processing algorithm is presented that can identify the orientation as well as the left/right side (parity) of the digitized radiographs. The orientation was found by computing the mean square deviation between the sampled gray values along the center and their best-fit linear regression relations. The parity was determined by comparing the area difference between two thresholded images of the left and the right side around the heart, which is assumed to be around the center of the image. This method was tested with 86 images with their orientations intentionally rotated. The rotation was limited to multiples of 90 degrees, as this was the way the rotation is most likely to happen in the clinical environment. We obtained positive responses for 85 out of 86 images subject to the screening.
The purpose of this study was to identity the differences of creativity according to levels of attentional abilities in young children. The participants of this study were 204 5-year-old children from the kindergarten or daycare center in Busan. The tests was conducted by using ANT and TTCT for young children. The study used two independent t-tests to find out the differences of creativity between high and low young children of degrees of alertness, orientation and executive control. The results of the study are as follows; first, there was a significant difference in creativity, abstractness of titles, and elaboration between high and low young children of varying degrees of alertness. Second, there was not a significant difference in creativity between high and low young children of orientation. Third, there was a significant difference in creativity; fluency, originality, elaboration and resistance to premature closure between high and low young children of the executive control. Therefore, there was a close relation between attentional control abilities, especially the executive control and creativity of young children.
The present study proposed a new interface system for capsule endoscopy by using head mounted display (HMD) device, which can control the orientation of the capsule endoscope with electromagnetic actuator (EMA) system. The orientation information of the HMD user was detected by the gyroscope sensor built into the device and then calculated to as an angle increment using Unity Engine compiler. The measured angle changes from the HMD were converted to the current values of the corresponding coils to be changed in the EMA system. Two experiments were designed to measure the accuracy and the intuitiveness of the HMD interface system. In the angle accuracy measurement, the capsule endoscope driven by HMD interface system showed the averaged errors of 0.68 degrees horizontally and 1.001 degrees vertically for given test angles. In the intuitiveness measurement, HMD interface system showed 1.33 times faster manipulation speed rather than the joystick interface system. In this respect, the HMD interface system for capsule endoscopy was expected to improve the overall diagnostic environment while maintaining comfort of patients and clinicians.

The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a competency tool for new nurses and to pilot-test it with new nurses. A Delphi survey was conducted to develop a competency tool, and a self-evaluation was conducted among new nurses who pilot-tested the finally derived competencies. The Delphi survey panel consisted of 18 people, including adjunct professors at the College of Nursing, nursing managers, and nurses with master's degrees. The Delphi survey asked about the validity of the competencies constructed in two rounds. After analyzing the Delphi results with mean, standard deviation, content validity ratio, degrees of convergence, and degrees of consensus, 12 core competencies and 36 enabling competencies were finally derived. The competencies consisted of clinical judgment and management (nine items), task competence (four items), patient orientation (five items), moral value orientation (three items), cooperation (two items), supply management (two items), professional development (three items), confidence (one item), self-control (two items), flexibility (two items), influence (one item), and nurturing others (two items). The finally derived competencies were pilot-tested with 229 new nurses who had worked for 2-12 months. The self-evaluation scores of new nurses were distributed differently according to their working period. In this study, the competencies required for new nurses were identified and the corresponding enabling competencies were identified. In the future, it is expected that a competency-based education program will be prepared based on these findings, and furthermore, it will be possible to provide high-quality medical and nursing services that meet patients' needs by improving the competency of new nurses and lowering the turnover rate.

The purpose of this study was to investigate what effect providing the hospice care team with hospice education programs had on the death orientation. The subjects of study were 28 volunteers. 14 nurses. 30 clergies who registered on hospice education programs from Aug. 6th. 1996 to May 20th. 1997. The data were analysed by descriptive analysis. ANOVA. Duncan test. paired t-test. The results of the study can be summarized as follows ; 1. The degrees of death orientation were 85.70 in volunteers group. 84.31 in nurses group. and 73.00 in clergies group. So. clergies group has more positive death orientation than others(F=6.33. p=. 000). The degree of death orientation showed significant differences between age groups(F=5.78. p =.002). and religiosity(t=3.92. p=.000). There were no significant differences between the degree of death orientation and the others general characteristics of subjects. 2. The mean of death orientation was 80.04 before hospice education programs. but was 75.56 after hospice education programs(t= 3.92. p= .000). In conclusion. the subjects who received the hospice education programs showed the positive change in the degree of the death orientation. Therefore. it has been judged that education programs has been prerequisite in positive death orientation for hospice care. Furthermore. all of the hospice care members those who complete the hospice education program. will be performed efficient hospice care intervention for dying patients and their families.
In this study, we developed low cost INS and (D)GPS integration for continuous attitude and position and utilized it for the determination of exterior orientation parameters of image sensors which are equipped in 4S-Van. During initial alignment process, the heading information was extracted from twin GPS and fine alignment with Kalman filter was performed for the determination of roll and pitch. Simulation and van test were performed for the performance analysis. Based on simulation result, roll and pitch error is around 0.01-0.03 degrees and yaw error around 0.1 degrees. Based on van test, position error in linear road is around 10 cm and curve around 1 m. Using direct georeferencing method, the image sensor's orientation and position information can be acquired directly from (D)GPS/INS integration. 4S-Van achieved 3D spatial data using (D)GPS/INS and image data can be applied to the spatial data integration and application such as contemporary digital map update, road facility management and Video GIS DB.
A selection of commercially available poly(ethy1ene terephtha1ate) fibers with different degrees of molecular alignment and crystallinity have been investigated utilizing a wide range of techniques including optical microscopy, infrared spectroscopy together with thermal and wide-angle X-ray diffraction techniques. Annealing experiments showed increased molecular alignment and crystallinity as shown by the increased values of birefringence and melting enthalpies. Crystallinity values determined from thermal analysis, density, unpolarized infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction are compared and discussed in terms of the inherent capabilities and limitations of each measurement technique. The birefringence and refractive index values obtained from optical microscopy are found to decrease with increasing wavelength of light used in the experiments. The wide-angle X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the samples with relatively low orientation possess oriented non-crystalline array of chains whereas those with high molecular orientation possess well defined and oriented crystalline array of chains along the fiber axis direction. X-ray analysis showed increasing crystallite size trend with increasing molecular orientation. SEM images showed micro-cracks on low oriented fiber surfaces becoming smooth on highly oriented fiber surfaces. Excellent bending characteristics were observed with knotted fibers implying relatively easy fabric formation.
The structure of spiral thickenings, particulary the appearance, arrangement and orientation of thickenings in compression wood of Torreya nucifera, were studied in detail by light and polarizing microscope, scanning and transmission electron microscope. The results obtained are as follows: (1) Using the inclined sections at an angle of 45 degrees to the fiber axis, it seems that we can not only observe the more accurate transverse view of the thickenings but also investigate the formation of their thickenings. (2) Generally 2-4 pieces of thickenings are projected to the cell lumen as nipple-like appearance in transverse section and are as frequent, well developed, forming pair and have the rope-like appearance in radial surface. (3) The secondary wall of early wood is composed of 3 layers (S1, S2, S3) and orientation of thickening appears S helix but that of late wood is of 2 layers (S1, S2) and that orientation shows Z helix. Above two regions are demaracted at several tracheid cells from the growth ring boundary. (4) Orientation of thickening seems to be a element showing the characteristics of compression wood in Torreya nucifera. (5) It believes that the thickenings of compression wood are integral part of the S3 in early wood tracheids and of the S2 in late wood and have the same orientations as the inner-most microfibrils in these layers. (6) Thickening and cavities seem to be not formed together in a secondary cell wall of same tracheids.

This paper purposes on stimulating the dynamic behavior of a floating structure model with the image processing and the close-range photogrammetry, instead of the contact sensors. Previously, the movement of structures was presented by the exterior orientation estimation from a single camera following the space resection. The inverse resection yields to 6 orientation parameters of the floating structure, with respect to the camera coordinates system. The single camera solution of interest in applications is characterized by the restriction in terms of costs, unfavorable observation conditions, or synchronization demands when using multiple cameras. This paper discusses the theoretical determinations of camera exterior orientation by using the least squares adjustment, applied of the values from the DLT (Direct Linear Transformation) and the photogrammetric resection. This proposed method is applied to monitor motions of a floating model. The results of 6DOF (Six Degrees of Freedom) from the inverse resection were signified that applying appropriate initial values from DLT in the least square adjustment is effective in obtaining precise exterior orientation parameters. Therefore, the proposed method can be concluded as an efficient solution to simulate movements of the floating structure.
