The purpose of this study is to introduce heat-clearing music therapy[淸熱音樂療法] as one of the 17 kinds of oriental medicine music therapy. The heat-clearing music therapy[淸熱音樂療法] can be applied to certain types of syndromes. The representative syndromes are flaring-up of the heart Fire[心火], rising of the liver Yang[肝陽], and fidgetiness due to deficiency of Eum(陰, Yin). Metal-Gi[金氣] music and Water-Gi[水氣] music are mainly used in heat-clearing music therapy, The patients with the case of flaring-up of the heart Fire[心火] may listen to Metal-Gi[金氣] music. For the patient with rising of the liver Yang[肝陽], relieving constraint music therapy can be used. In other cases with patients with fidgetiness due to deficiency of Eum, replenishing vital essence music therapy can be used. This study describes the theory of heat-clearing music therapy[淸熱音樂療法] that has a good possibility as a new method of oriental medical treatment.

In this paper, we studied Dongssi' acupuncture therapy via the consideration of development process of Oriental medicine in history. We investigated the distribution chart and naming of Dongssi' acupuncture point in human body, artificial selection principle of Dongssi' acupuncture point to therapy (選穴原則) on the various diseases, the therapy of pyo-bon (標本理論) and the therapy of Geun-Gyeal (根結理論) and compared GeoZa-principle (巨刺法) and MuZa-principle (繆刺法) with artificial selection principle of Dongssi' acupuncture point. And we also studied the acupuncture therapy of DongGi (動氣鍼法), DoMa (倒馬鍼法) and SaeIn (索引鍼法), which is the unique principle in Dongssi' acupuncture theraphy, to consider with the other Oriental medicine theory which is the theory of ZangSang (臟象學說) and BiWi (脾胃學說) etc. Our desire in this study is the giving aid to treatment diseases with the acupuncture therapy in Oriental medicine.

Good health and longevity are the goal of human beings. Dietary treatment for the improvement of health and chronic diseases therapy has been occupied an important position in Oriental and Western medicine. In this paper, the viewpoints of dietary treatment in Oriental and Western medicine were compared. The principle of Yin-Yang and five elements, as a standing rule that establishes the theory of Oriental medicine and origin of the oriental philosophy, it provides the based of the Oriental medicine's outlook of the world. The principles of dietary treatment in Oriental medicine was reasonable combination of food, balance of Oh-Mi and temperance of food. Nutritional therapy in Oriental medicine has done the phase of Bian Zheng by individual characteristics. The theory of Yin-Yang and five elements, Ki-Mi, Sasang Constitution Medicine and Kyi-Kyung were obviously recognized the theory of nutrition therapeutics in Oriental medicine. In Western medicine, dietary treatment supplies individuals with a recipe of calorie and specific nutrients. The Food Exchange System was very convenient way of practice in nutrition therapy. But each of dietary treatment in Oriental and Western nutrition has strong and week points. So we need to study enough materials to treatment of Oriental nutrition and Western nutrition for the improvement of health and chronic diseases therapy.

Purpose : This study was designed to evaluate the effects of oriental medicine therapy on a patient of metrorrhagia and metrostaxis with endometrial polyp. Methods : The clinical data was analyzed on a patient of metrorrhagia and metrostaxis with endometrial polyp whose main symptoms were dysfunctional uterine bleeding. A 27-year-old female who had been treated hormone replacement therapy for dysfunctional uterine bleeding at a obstetrics and gynecology became worse, so refused any more hormone replacement therapy and visited Dongsin university oriental hospital. The patient was admitted to the obstetrics and gynecology department of Dongsin university Oriental Medical Hospital, on Febrary 23, 2004 and remained until Apri 11, 2005. we treated the patient with a herb-medication, acupunture therapy, moxa therapy and etc. Results : After treatment, improvement was seen in dysfunctional uterine bleeding, generalized weakness. Conclusion : The study suggests that oriental medicine therapy is significantly effective in the treatment of metrorrhagia and metrostaxis with endometrial polyp.

Objective : Traumatic lumbar burst fracture causes significant spinal cord injury. This report is intended to estimate the efficacy using oriental treatment on a patient with lumbar burst fracture and spinal cord injury. Methods : From 21th December, 2009 to 5th February, 2010, 1 female inpatient diagnosed with lumbar burst fracture and spinal cord injury was treated with general oriental medicine therapy : mae-sun therapy ; acupuncture ; moxibustion ; pharmacopuncture ; physical therapy and herbal medication. TUG, SCIMII and VAS were used for evaluation of gait disturbance and pain in both feet. Measurement of self voiding amount and remaining amount through CIC was used for evaluation of neurogenic vesical dysfunction. Results : The patient showed a certain degree of improvement in gait disturbance, pain in both feet and neurogenic vesical dysfunction through above evaluation methods. Conclusion : Oriental treatments such as mae-sun therapy, acupuncture and moxibustion therapy, pharmacopuncture therapy and herbal medication can be effective for spinal cord injury due to traumatic lumbar burst fracture.

OBJECTIVE: This study is aimed to evaluate the clinical improvement of insomnia and patients' original disease after the therapy of auricular acupuncture. METHODS: A questionnaire regarding patients' sleeping behavior was executed to secure the objectivity. 20 patients were selected from 55 patients in Joong Hwa oriental medicine hospital. 20 patients who had undergone auricular acupuncture for insomnia for 6 days were asked before the first therapy to fill in a form regarding their sleeping behavior and retrospectively after 6 days a questionnaire regarding the success of therapy. Auricular acupuncture therapy consisted of 3 consultations at an interval of 2 days. RESULTS: 12 patients were good conditions, 5 were same conditions and 3 were rather poor conditions of 20 patients after auricular acupuncture therapy. CONCLUSIONS: 60% of object improved insomnia after auricular acupuncture therapy. Auricular acupuncture therapy can be applied and adapted individually, furthermore it is economical and small side effects.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical application of oriental medical therapy to Pick's disease We treated the patient with oriental medical therapy. The recovery of the dementia was evaluated by Korean-Mini Mental State Examination(MMSE-K), Korean-dementia Rating Scale(K-DRS) & Barthel ADL Index.(ADL) The applicability of oriental medical therapy has positive effects on the patient with Pick's disease. The Sum of MMSE-K score was increased. K-DRS & ADL were also promoted.

Objectives : There are a lot of food used herb medicine among the people in order to cure diseases. A medicinal gruel is the easiest and most universal among alimmentotherapy. The purpose of this thesis is to understand a medicinal gruel therapy. Methods: I researched the definition, history, ingredients, application and special feature. Result and conclusion : A medicinal gruel therapy is alimmentotherapy for diseases prevent and diseases treatment which get mixed with her medicine and rice, based on oriental medicine theory. A medicinal gruel therapy was put on record in ${\ll}$A historical book${\gg}$. A medicinal gruel therapy can be used in chronic diseases, convalescent stage, assistant treatment for acute disease, disease prevention, aging prevention, diet food and substitute food for breakfast.

This study was progressed for oriental medical care of neonates by fetal toxicosis removal therapy, and the results as follows: 1. The purpose of fetal toxicosis removal therapy : It removes dirty blood in neonatal mouth and prevents diseases. 2. Kinds of fetal toxicosis removal therapy : Radix Glycyrrhizae(甘草), Rhizoma Coptidis(黃連), Cinnabaris-Mel(朱蜜), Calculus Bovis(牛黃), Sojae Semen Praepartum, Juice of Semen Allii Tuberosi(非汁) and mercury(汞粉). 3. A period of fetal toxicosis removal therapy : At birth, 3rd day or so, one week or so, after umbilical omission. 4. Methods of fetal toxicosis removal therapy: Purgative therapy(下法) and Emetic therapy(吐法).

Objective : There is no case report on the Idiopathic Conjunctive treated by CHUNA manual therapy in oriental medicine. We experienced a patient with the Idiopathic Conhunctivitis improved by CHUNA manual therapy in X-ray imagine and visual analogue scale(VAS), and we report It. Methods : During the patient with the Idiopathic Conjunctivitis was treated CHUNA manual therapy, we examined cervial X-ray and evaluated the patient's symptoms by VAS and counting eye drop. And we observed whether the change exist or not in X-ray. Result : Symptoms(Red eye, eye xerosis) was improved significally, and the X -ray image was improved. Conclusion : Conjunctivitis was generally treated steroid eye drop and conservative treatment. But CHUNA manual therapy may be more effective in the Idiopathic Conjunctivitis, if more clinical studies and researchs are accomplished.
