We spend a quarter of every night on the dream, it means for us to spend about six years having a dream. But, any portion of the dream are remained the mystery in these days and it goes without saying that these mystery have not been solved from old times. So. the people have not known about the essences of dream for a long time although they have experienced in dreaming in the early days of human history. But, It is necessary to consider the dream to modality of disease diagnosis because many evidences that the dream represents the physiologic and pathologic changes in the human have been proved in recent days. So, we are going to inquire into the things being scattered over many texts of the Oriental Medicine, including the Internal Classics(內經). about the dream and to look the diagnostic significances of the dream with some examples of the modern psychiatric accomplishments.
Objective : To characterize Five Woons of Asian women who live at Los Angeles area in U.S.A Methods : A set of physical tests and diagnostic questions were given to 242 Asian female subjects who were treated for their symptoms at a clinic of Asian medicine near Los Angeles in USA. The participants were given their constitutions, one of the Five Woons based on their birthdays. The physical tests included a body composition via Inbody 4.0 and an autonomic bioelectric response record via ABR2000. The oneway analysis of variance was applied to compare the means of the Five Woons and the physical test results. The Cross tabulation analysis was also applied to look for the effectiveness of Five Woons on the symptoms. Results : 1. In the body composition items, the LSD(least significant difference) showed that there were significant differences between the Soil Woon and the other Four Woons which are Water, Metal, Fire and Wood Woons in weight, fat, body fat %, BMI (p<0.2). 2. Based on the LSD, significant differences were observed among the Five Woons in R5, R6 and R7(p<0.2). 3. The cross tabulation analysis showed the significant effectiveness of the Five Woons on the five symptoms including dizziness, hot and cold, lower body edema, fatigue and to take a medication for high blood pressure out of 24 diagnostic questions (p<0.2). Conclusions : Further clinical research is necessary to develop a more delicate questionnaire and look for ways of characterizing the Five Woons. The diagnosis and corresponding treatment based on the Five Woons should be further studied in view of the Oriental medicine.
Background : As each human has a look in the face of oneself, he or she has a look of him or herself in the shape of the body also. And for the shape of the body which gives a big clue in diagnosis in musculoskeletal disorders. Therefor many means are used and developed for diagnosis through body shape or posture analysis for musculoskeletal disorders. X-ray, CT, MRI has been used for diagnosis through image in this way to tell about the inside of the human body. On the other side, moire topography was used for information about the exterior of the human body, but yet only minimal information such as the number of contour lines in each side was available. Therefor there were a few studies to use moire topography or other methods to get information about the surface of the human body in numeric values. The instrument used in this study which is a laser projection moire, is another trial to get numeric data about the surface of the human body. The instrument is composed of laser projector and a computer software to recompose and analyse the image data into depth, height, angle and length. Objectives : The study was focused on whether the instrument is reliable for clinic use, and to seek the proper environment and posture for the examination, and among the data the software provides, which items are more reliable and useful. Methods : For reproductivity and repeatability, 4 testers tested 2 persons. And to how if the body shape changes according to the posture and which posture gives the most reliable data, the test was performed in 6 different positions. Results : Result, the instrument showed sufficient repeatability and reproductivity for clinical use. And among the items the software provides, the length of the back, the angle of the back in the sagittal and coronal plane showed reliable results. And there was difference in the results according to the posture, and Therefor, in following studies using this instrument or similar type of posture analysing instruments, the length of the back, the angle of the back in the sagittal and coronal plane could be reliable item to use.
The aim of this study is to look at how pepper was used in traditional medicine. In other words, this study aims to take a look at the process by which the medicinal nature & efficacy of pepper in traditional society was perceived and arranged through the aspects of the use of pepper as an exotic crop for treating diseases. This study investigated cases of using pepper for medical treatments by referring to books on traditional medicine in Korea. The old records about pepper are mainly in empirical medical books from the late Chosun dynasty. Nevertheless, the records about pepper tend to decrease in medical text as time goes by. Such a phenomenon can be attributable to the fact that people began to use pepper for daily food life rather than for medicinal purposes. Pepper was used mostly for digestive trouble such as vomiting, diarrhea, and stomachaches, and it was also applied to mental and aching diseases caused by the sound of body fluids remaining in the stomach. In addition, there were many cases where pepper was used externally for surgical disorders. Such symptoms for treatment are linked to, or in a complementary relationship with, research results in modern times. Boiled pepper was generally taken in the traditional herbal decoction method, and in the case of surgical diseases, it was applied externally. The cases of using old pepper, using pepper with seeds or without seeds, and using pepper mixed with sesame oil belong to a sort of herbal medicine processing, which usually aimed at changing the medicinal nature of pepper. In addition, in relation to the eating habits at that time, pepper was used as seasoning and to make red pepper paste with or without vinegar. There are two words used for pepper in the medical textbooks, 苦椒 (gocho) and 烈棗 (yeoljo). These words are translated into Korean as gochu, so we can identify this word as a nickname for pepper.
Objectives The purpose of this study is to look into the methods of acupuncture for spastic cerebral palsy. Methods 27 cases of the clinical literature were selected from 43 studies about cerebral palsy and spastics. Theses literature were published between the January 2010 to September 2015 by using the China Academic Journal (CAJ) of China National Knoweldge Infrastructure (CNKI). Results Most studies mentioned the effect of acupuncture (scalp, general) or acupoint-injection, derma needle, warm acupoint. It was more effective with other herbal complex rehabilitation therapy such as acupuncture, physical therapy occupational therapy, rehabilitation, and the complex speech therapy than just the herbal therapy alone. Acupuncture of acupoint-injection has overall 86~96% of rehabilitation rate. The acupuncture was often used with the general acupuncture and scalp acupuncture. Commonly used major acupuncture points were sishencong (四神總), bohui (百會), yundongqu (運動區), and pinghengqu (平衡區), Li11, Li04, Gb39, St41. The main acupoint-injection points were fengchi (Gb21) and jiexi (St41). For the injection, brain actiator, astragalus injection, cerebroprotein hydrolysate, Vit B1, Vit B2 were commonly used. Conclusion Acupuncture and acupoint-injection have been shown as an effective treatment on spastic cerebral palsy. The acupuncture was used often with the general acupuncture and scalp acupuncture all together.
Objectives : This study has been carried out to look into the methods of early treatment of cerebral palsy and the treatment effect by ages. Methods : The fifteen theses dealing with treatment effects by ages were analyzed, which were selected from the 121 theses retrieved out of the wu-ruan(五軟), wu-chi(五遲), wu-ying(五硬), naotan(腦癱), naoxing-tanhuan(腦性癱癱), during the period between the January 2004 to August 2008 by using the China Academic Journal(CAJ) of China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI). Results : 1. Among the study objects in the 15 theses, it was identified that there were 1.97 times more boys with cerebral palsy than that of girls, and it appeared that there was no significant relationship between gender and the treatment. 2. The early treatment referred to the treatment which was carried out based on the early diagnosis within 6 months to one year after the birth. This is the time when the adaptability and plasticity of the brain are high, and it was found out that the treatment effective as babies are young. 3. For the treatment of cerebral palsy, the combination of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Therapy was more frequently used than the exclusive Chinese medical treatment method, and it was more effective. Especially in the case, the Chinese medical treatment was focused on the acupuncture and the Tuina Massage. Conclusions : 1. For the treatment of cerebral palsy, when the age between one and two years old was established as the standard. The younger the babies were, the higher treatment effects were obtained. 2. It appeared that the early treatment of oriental medicine had relatively excellent effects on cerebral palsy, but it turned out that we needed more studies for accurate results.

In addition, he closely combined the concept of Wu Zang Bian Zheng(五藏辨證), and diagnosis the pediatric diseases. Wu Zang Bian Zheng(五藏辨證). what Qian-Yi(錢乙) established method was based on Zheng Ti Guan(整體觀) in Huang Di Nei Jing(黃帝內經). Qian-Yi(錢乙) took a close look on Chuang Zhen(瘡疹) which had been an inadequate field in those days. He criticized on the habitual misuse of medications. He treated Ji Jing(急驚) and Man Jing(慢驚) separately; Ji Jing(急驚) as Liang Xie(凉瀉) and Man Jing(慢驚) as Wen Bu(溫補). He proposed Zong Gan Zhu Feng and Xin Zhu Jing(縱肝主風, 心主驚) theory and formulated Jing Feng(驚風) theory as well. He emphasized the treatment to Gong Bu Shang Zheng, Bu Bu Zhi Xie, Xiao Bu Jian Shi(攻不傷正, 補不滯邪, 消補兼施) because he had a clear demonstration to Han Re Xu Shi(寒熱虛實) of the five viscera in the field of Fang yao(方藥). Conclusions Understanding $\ll$Xiao Er Yao Zheng Zhi Jue$\gg$ and its medical records of Qian Yi(錢乙)'s medical concept had quintessential meaning to both modern pediatrician and oriental medical doctors of all medical fields in treating children.
Purpose: The purpose of this research was to provide baseline data by utilizing solutions to health problems caused by work-related stress and to examine a way of treatment by comparing and analyzing how the stresses link to fatigue and quality of researchers' life. Methods: A survey was conducted with 50 researchers working for in H research institute in Daejeon Metropolitan City from April 10th to May 10th, 2012 to examine the correlation of work stress, fatigue and quality of life. The data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test to look into examine the difference in work stress, fatigue, and quality of life. Also, the correlation of work stress, fatigue and quality of life was measured through by the Pearson correlation coefficient. The data collected through the questionnaires was were analyzed by SPSS 21.0 based on the significant level with a p-value, 0.05. Results: The results showed that fatigue was caused by work stresses in researchers and quality of life was ranked in a relatively low level. Correlation of work stresses, quality of life and fatigue and work stresses against mental health index was negative and fatigue against physical index was also negative. Conclusion: It is necessary to maintain more detailed provisions in order to improve mental health and stress level of researchers. Moreover, systematic, in-depth evaluation should be done to reduce researcher's work-related stress and fatigue. In addition, stress management and prevention program should be implemented for these researchers.

The intention of the research is to look into the form reflecting the spiritual image due to Oriental aesthetic from a realistic point of view. In this regard, I will pay attention to examining the process from figurative perspectives, in which painting image by subject acquires the beauty of form. Of the main subjection this paper, figure is an image itself appearing in painting. At this point, I will attempt to show how the meaning and value of image have been interpreted and judged on the aesthetic standard in Oriental painting in particular. For this process, I generalize the conception of the image as 'figure' and through this I will reconsider the standard of understanding and the value of perception regarding painting images on the method which are more applicable to the expressions of Oriental painting. The reason why I try to find out the true nature of images in Oriental painting from a figurative viewpoint is to convert a conventional sense of value which recognizes the images of Oriental painting only as results of idealism, into more practical field. If the true nature of Oriental painting is fixed and restricted to natures of idealism, any productive development and any changes in form for future couldn't be expected at all. In fact, what the ideological and aesthetic values of art suggest is clearly a proof of real art form. However, it is not a hard thing to prospect that only a superficial idealism will be ceaselessly produced, while the practical study about aesthetic values, meaningful results of painting expressions, is totally ignored, if ideology itself is used as criteria to judge the identity of it or if only the idealistic aesthetic values are emphasized while any clue to show a real existence of oriental paintings is not certain.
