The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical application of oriental medical therapy and Art-therapy to the panic disorder patient. We treated the patient with OMT(oriental medical therapy) and Art-Therapy. Art-Therapy helped the patient to solve the problems related with her family and OMT helped to improve the patient's symptoms. The application of Art-Terapy and OMT has positive effects on the patient with panic attack.

Purpose - Several previous studies have been completed on oriental art therapy's impact on problem-solving and innovation in business workers. However, there is a definite research gap in how it reduces stress within the impacts oriental art therapy on business workers. Therefore, this research will be significant in finding out what oriental art therapy has reduced work-related stress and increased satisfaction among business workers. Research design, data, and methodology - For this research, the dependent variable was the significance of oriental art therapy, and the dependent variable was reducing work-related stress and increasing the satisfaction of business workers. The study's hypothesis was oriental art therapy reduces work-related stress and increases the satisfaction of business workers. A quantitative quasi-experimental pilot design was the most appropriate for this study. Result - This research figured out that the art therapy affect significantly reducing work-related stress among business workers, removing the level of anxiety, improving employee's feeling, and so leading to improvement in communication and collaboration each other in the organization. Conclusion - The results of the investigation imply that oriental art therapy can significantly improve the workers' satisfaction in a business. The research shows how successfully some of the interventions introduced in the medical supply company fully transformed the workers' lives.

The Mandala art therapy is used as a clinical method for helping patients to perceive their internal existence and to maintain harmonious between body and mind. Despite the fact that Mandala is congruous with the oriental philosophy, there are few studies that approach Mandala from the view point of the oriental medicine. Method : This study looks into the Maudala art therapy from the perspective of Yin-Yang Wuxiug(陰陽五行) and examines the possibility of using Mandala art therapy in the oriental medical practice. Results : In Analyzing the symbols of Mandala, the lines can be interpreted in terms of Yin and Yang, and the preferences for colors and the style of expression can be interpreted in terms of the body organs associated with colors and emotions in Wuxing. In addition, the clinical effects of Mandala, such as body-mind harmony and self-examination, are congruous with the Suncbeondo(先天圖) of the oriental medicine primer. Conclusion : The Mandala art therapy bas a potential to be used for medical diagnosis and treatment in the oriental medicine. Therefore, it is necessary to research and develop various Mandala art programs and assess their effectiveness through applications to medical cases.

Objectives: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a psychiatric disorder, characterized by the primary symptoms of inattention and/or hyperactivity and impulsivity. The aim of this study is to investigate the clinical efficiency of the oriental medical therapy combined with art therapy in the treatment of ADHD. Methods: This study is clinical reports of 3 patients with ADHD who are being treated with the oriental medical therapy (Herb-med, acupuncture) and art therapy. K-ARS (Korean ADHD Rating Scale) was compared before and after 1 month of treatment. Results: The Oriental medical therapy including herb-med and acupuncture is effective in improving ADHD patients. Also, art therapy is effective in decreasing patients' anxiety and tension and helpful for patients themselves to make an objective observation. Therefore, it is practically useful in the treatment of ADHD. Conclusions: The results show the oriental medical therapy in combination with art therapy is effective in the treatment of ADHD.

Objectives : This article aims to find how effective the art therapy is on the improvement of the self expression and the interpersonal relations with others, as medium for verbal communication of schizophrenic patients. Methods : The subject of this study was one schizophrenic patient who had been treated with drugs for five years in W university hospital, as well as counseled by an art therapy oo counsel office in J city. The art therapy had been performed the total 25 sessions, fifty minute per session, one session per week, from November 28 in 2008 to April 27 in 2009. The test was by HTP. Results : The results of this study are as follows: First, in the pretest of HTP, the subject showed a little lethargy, painting very simple house-shaped figures and too simple rectangular figures corresponding to those painted by 4 or 5-year-old children. In the post-test, however, the structures of houses were described concretely and three-dimensionally, and the descriptions of people were changed into concrete figure, by which we could see the improvement effect on the self expression and the interpersonal relations. Second, in the earlier stage, there was little verbal self expression, and little self respect, staring into space and showing passive attitude without positive assertion and expression. In the later stage, however, there were positive assertion and expression, even showing sense of humor. Lastly, in the earlier stage, there were few interpersonal relations. In the later stage, however, eye contacts and the interpersonal relations were increased during conversation and in the art work process, respectively. Conclusions : These results suggest that the art therapy can be effective on improvement of the self expression and the interpersonal relations with others, as medium for verbal communication of schizophrenic patients.

Objectives: Schizophrenia is a serious disease that influences not only the patients themselves but also their family and the society. In this case, we employed art therapy and Korean traditional medicine for treating a schizophrenia patient.Methods: The patient was diagnosed with schizophrenia, and the main complaints were hallucination, visual hallucination and catatonic behavior. We treated the patient with art therapy and Korean traditional medicine including acupuncture, moxa and herbal medicine. We used the Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS) and the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) for assessment.Results: After treatment, clinical symptoms were improved and the BPRS and PANSS scores were decreased, especially the scores for anxiety, depression and poor rapport.Conclusions: Combined treatment with art therapy and Korean traditional medicine can be effective for treating chronic schizophrenia.

'Ul-zeong' comes from obsturction of qi by stress. The mind affect the body. The patient has depressed mood, irritable sign, chest discomfort, costral pain, angry state or some strange feeling on the throat. $'Y{\acute{i}}q{\acute{i}}ngbi{\grave{a}}nq{\grave{i}}'$ is a psychological therapy that a doctor changes the patient ' s psychological condition by using various method. 'yi' means moving, 'qing' means changing. Art therapy means a therapy by using artistic activities and included in $'y{\acute{i}}q{\acute{i}}ngbi{\grave{a}}nq{\grave{i}}'$ In this case, a female patient, 35 years old, who suffered from 'ul-zeong' with depressed mood, anxiety, general body weakness, anorexia, constipation. We used $'y{\acute{i}}q{\acute{i}}ngbi{\grave{a}}nq{\grave{i}}'$ besides herbal medication, acupuncture to her and her condition got improved. Therefore we reported it for the treatment.

Objective: We have the purpose of evaluating the effects of lymphatic massage on lymphoedema in breast cancer patients. Method: The patient who has in condition of lymphoedema after the breast cancer therapy is taken massages with aroma oil for 5 days. We measured the upper arm circumference and edema index before and after the therapy. We also measure the edema index of normal arm to compare with the abnormal one. Results: We gave 4 patients the decongestive lymphatic therapy and now present the positive conclusion. 3cases of the 4 showed decrease of circumferences and edema index. It means that the edematous condition getting better during these therapy. Conclusion: Lymphatic massage with aroma therapy may have effectiveness on lymphoedema in breast cancer patients. but further advanced clinical trials are needed.

In this review, we searched for clinical and experimental studies related to acupuncture-related therapy (ART) on the microbiome in musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) through the electronic databases of MEDLINE via PubMed, EMBASE, and Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System up to May 2023, without language restriction, and after the selection/exclusion process, the study design, target disease, intervention details, treatment period, outcomes, and study results were extracted. A total of 8 articles were selected. Two randomized controlled trials and 6 animal studies evaluated knee osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, spinal cord injury, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoporosis. ART, including electroacupuncture, thread-embedding acupuncture, and moxibustion, affected microbiome modulation in MSDs. The results reveal that ART could be a potential treatment for regulating the microbiome in MSDs. However, further high-quality studies are needed.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends in foreign clinical trials for pediatric asthma in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Methods : We reviewed 31 randomized controlled trials (RCT) for pediatric asthma treatment in CAM published from 2005 to 2015 in PubMed and analyzed their treatments, compounds of herbal medicines, acupoints, methods of assessment, and treatment results. Results : The treatments used in the studies were herbal medicines, acupuncture, acupoint application, breathing training, supplement, normocaloric diet, yoga, massage therapy, and art therapy. The frequently used herbs were Asari Herba Cum Radix (細辛). Ephedrae Herba (麻黃), Astragali Radix. The most common acupoints were Feishu (肺兪, BL13). The methods of assessment in pediatric asthma were symptom scale, questionnaire of Quality of Life, lung function test, laboratory studies, and medication usage. In 28 out of 31 studies, treatment group gets better than non-treated group. Conclusions : This study shows that CAM is effective in treating pediatric asthma. More clinical studies using objective outcome measures are needed to prove its efficacy clearly.
