A Global Path Planning of Mobile Robot Using Modified SOFM (수정된 SOFM을 이용한 이동로봇의 전역 경로계획)

  • A global path planning algorithm using modified self-organizing feature map(SOFM) which is a method among a number of neural network is presented. The SOFM uses a randomized small valued initial weight vectors, selects the neuron whose weight vector best matches input as the winning neuron, and trains the weight vectors such that neurons within the activity bubble are move toward the input vector. On the other hand, the modified method in this research uses a predetermined initial weight vectors of the 2-dimensional mesh, gives the systematic input vector whose position best matches obstacles, and trains the weight vectors such that neurons within the activity bubble are move toward the opposite direction of input vector. According to simulation results one can conclude that the modified neural network is useful tool for the global path planning problem of a mobile robot.

  • In this paper, we propose a new modification method of the look-up table in self-organizing fuzzy control using look-up table. This method has the property that look-up table is modified to have fast response property. Its principle is that the controller forces the trajectory to go into the fast respose region which the error change amount is larger than the error at initial time whenever the reference or disturbance change. Also we introduce the variable learning speed coefficient which is proportional to distance from switching curve. And to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed method, we had simulation study for some examples and esecuted pole balance experiments with inverted pendulum.

  • In this paper, we propose the parallel, self-organizing, hierarchical neural netowrks as a handwritten digit recognition system. This system can absorb the various shape variations of handwritten digits by using the different methods of extracting the features in each stage neural network (SNN) of the PSHNN, and can reduce training time by using the single layer neural network as the SNN, and can obtain high rate of correct recognition by using the certainty area in all the output nodes individually. experiments have been performed with NIST database. In which we use 21, 315 digits (10, 625 digits for training and 10,663 digits for testing). The results show that the correct rate is 97.48% the error rate is 1.72% and the reject rate is 0.78%.

  • In this study, we proposed genetically optimized self-organizing fuzzy polynomial neural network based on information granulation and evolutionary algorithm (gdSOFPNN), develop a comprehensive design methodology involving mechanisms of genetic optimization. The proposed gdSOFPNN gives rise to a structural Iy and parametrically optimized network through an optimal parameters design available within FPN (viz. the number of input variables, the order of the polynomial, input variables, the number of membership functions, and the apexes of membership function). Here, with the aid of the information granulation, we determine the initial location (apexes) of membership functions and initial values of polynomial function being used in the premised and consequence part of the fuzzy rules respectively. The performance of the proposed gdSOFPNN is quantified through experimentation that exploits standard data already used in fuzzy modeling.

  • 사용자의 지리적 위치에 따른 서비스를 제공하는 위치기반서비스는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 중요한 응용으로 여러 위치 감지기술과 다양한 시험 및 상용 서비스들이 개발되어 왔다. 하지만 기존의 위치기반서비스는 단순히 위치와 서비스를 정적으로 연결하는 기법에 그치고 있어 서비스의 유연성이 떨어지는 한계가 있다. 이를 개선하기 위해 위치 정보로부터 고수준 정보를 추론하여 보다 지능적인 서비스를 제공하려는 연구들이 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 위치이동 데이터를 학습하여 미래의 위치 이동 경로를 예측하는 기법을 제안한다. GPS(Global Positioning System)를 사용하여 수집된 시퀸스 데이터를 시퀸스 데이터 처리에 특화된 RSOM (Recurrent Self Organizing Map)을 사용하여 클러스터링하고 이를 마르코브 모델을 사용하여 학습하여 각 위치 이동 패턴 모델을 구축한다. 현재의 위치이동 패턴을 구축된 각 이동패턴 모델들과 비교하여 가장 유사한 위치 이동패턴으로 미래의 사용자이동을 예측한다. 제안한 위치이동 예측 기법을 평가하기 위해 실제 대학생의 생활을 기반으로 하여 GPS 데이터를 대학 캠퍼스 상에서 수집하고 이를 이용하여 제안한 방법의 학습 및 예측 성능을 평가한다. 그 결과 제안한 방법을 사용하여 사용자의 미래의 위치이동경로를 예측하는 것이 가능하고 불확실한 상황에서도 유연하게 예측을 수행함을 확인하였다.

  • Vector Transformation is a new method unified vector quantization and coding. So far, codebook generation applied to coding was LBG algorithm. But using the advantage of SOFM(Self-Organizing Feature Map) based on neural network can improve a system's performance. In this paper, we generated VTC(Vector Transformation Coding) codebook applied with SOFM algorithm and compare the result for several coding rates with LBG algorithm. The problem of Vector quantization is complicated calculation and codebook generation. So, to solve this problem, we used neural network approach method.

  • In this paper. we propose Fuzzy Self-Organizing Networks (FSON) using both Polynomial Neural Networks(PNN) and Fuzzy Neural Networks(FNN) for model identification of complex and nonlinear systems. The proposed FSON is generated from the mutually combined structure of both FNN and PNN. Accordingly it is possible to consider the nonlinearity characteristics of process and to get the better output performance with superb predictive ability. In order to evaluate the performance of proposed models. we use the nonlinear data sets. The results show that the proposed FSON can produce the model with higher accuracy and more robustness than previous any other method.

  • A program for integrated gene expression profile analysis such as hierarchical clustering, K-means, fuzzy c-means, self-organizing map(SOM), principal component analysis(PCA), and singular value decomposition(SVD) was made for DNA chip data anlysis by using Matlab. It also contained the normalization method of gene expression input data. The integrated data anlysis program could be effectively used in DNA chip data analysis and help researchers to get more comprehensive analysis view on gene expression data of their own.

  • Integrated Services Digital Networks (ISDNs) and Broadband ISDN provide high speed data transmission capabilities and therefore, it is now possible to communicate with multimedia information including graphic, motion image, data and audio. Among several new services utilizing multimedia communication networks, distance education service which aims to overcome time and space restrictions between teachers and learners is now heavily focused in many countries. In this paper, several factors which affect to the effectiveness of distance education are surveyed and facilities for organizing distance education classrooms which utilize high speed multimedia communication network are studied in detail. Also, some points are suggested for organizing successful distance equation system based on the multimedia communication technology.

  • The system is defined as groups which are operative, dependentive, configurational of all each others. In oner to develop the AGT system efficiently, the system engineering process has to be organized It will be started by the configuration of WBS and PBS. A WBS is a method of naming and organizing all of the wok elements to be done for a projects. It completely defines the projects, is normally prepared in an hierarchical during design and project execution. A number, or alpha-numeric identification, is assigned to every WBS elements. Also a hierachy of system physical components should be established. It named to PBS, which is a method of naming and organizing all of the physicals elements to be done far a projects. Therefore we will propose the WBS and PBS to fit for AGT system in this reports.
