시스템다이내믹스를 이용한 신규간호사의 조직사회화과정 모델 개발 (The Development of an Organizational Socialization Process Model for New Nurses using a System Dynamics Approach)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the problems and relevant variables for effective Organizational Socialization of new nurses, to produce a causal map, to build up a simulation model and to test its validity. Method: The basic data was collected from Sep. 2002 to July 2003. The Organizational Socialization process of new nurses was analyzed through a model simulation. The VENSIM 5.0b DSS program was used to develop the study model. Result: This Model shows interrelation of these result variables: organizational commitment, job satisfaction, job performance, intention of leaving the work setting, decision making ability, and general results of Organizational Socialization. The model's factors are characteristic of organization and individual values, task-related knowledge and skills, and emotion and communication that affects new nurses' socialization process. These elements go through processes of anticipatory socialization, encounter, change and acquisition. The Model was devised to induce effective Organizational Socialization results within 24 months of its implementation. The basic model is the most efficient and will also contribute to the development of knowledge in the body of nursing. Conclusion: This study will provide proper direction for new Nurse's Organizational Socialization. Therefore, developing an Organizational Socialization Process Model is meaningful in a sense that it could provide a framework that could create effective Organizational Socialization for new nurses.

비영리 사회복지조직의 재정자원동원 효과성과 조직의 관리능력 (Does Organizational Capacity Explain Fundraising Effectiveness in Nonprofit Social Service Organizations?)

  • 본 연구는 어떠한 요인들이 비영리 사회복지조직의 자원동원활동의 효과성을 설명하는지를 살펴보기 위해 수도권 지역의 사회복지조직에서 자원동원활동을 수행한 적이 있는 종사자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구는 조직의 일반 특성과 자원동원관련 특성뿐만 아니라, 조직의 관리능력이라는 새로운 요인을 투입하여 계층적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 비영리 사회복지조직에 있어서 자원동원활동의 효과성은 기존의 연구에서 제시하는 조직의 일반 및 자원동원관련 특성과 같은 객관적 조건보다 조직이 구체적인 기법을 활용하는지 그리고 조직이 이 활동을 어느 정도 지원하는지를 보여주는 조직의 관리능력이라는 주관적 조건이 영향을 미친다는 분석결과는 실천적 측면에서 효과적인 자원동원을 위해서는 조직의 적절한 지원과 관리의 중요성을 제시하는데 의의를 지닌다.

정보통신기술 기반 지식정보관리 프레임워크를 통한 한국 정부 조직 혁신에 관한 탐구: 외교부를 중심으로 (Organizational Innovation in the Korean Government via an ICT-based IKM Framework: A focus on the MOFA)

  • 급속히 발전하고 있는 정보통신기술은 기업과 조직의 운영시스템에도 영향을 미치고 있으며, 다수의 산업 분야에서 혁신적인 정보 및 지식관리 전략을 수립하기 위해 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 외교부는 지난 20년간 지식정보관리 관련 시스템의 많은 부분에 디지털 기술을 적용하고 있으나, 그에 맞는 전략을 분석하기 위한 기존 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 인터뷰 및 외교부 내부 혁신 보고서 분석을 통해 현재 한국 외교부의 지식정보관리의 개념과 제약 사항을 진단하고, 외교부가 조직의 양면성 역량과 수용능력을 강화하여, 조직 혁신을 촉진하는 지식정보 관리체계를 제공하는 방법을 평가하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 외교부의 지식정보관리는 디지털 기술 변화에 적응할 수 있는 동적인 역량을 갖추고 있으나, 본질적인 내부의 한계(기밀 문서 처리구조, 지식정보관리 관련 협업체계 부재)와 외부의 한계(국내 정치 상황, 정부 조직의 위계질서)에 직면하고 있다. 이러한 내부적 한계와 외부적 요인으로 인한 영향을 최소화하는 방안을 마련하는 조직의 양면성 역량과 수용능력 증진을 통해 외교부가 조직 혁신을 위한 지식정보관리 체계를 개발해야 하는 것으로 관찰된다. 이를 위해 실질적으로 활용 가능한 IKM 시스템 개발을 위한 이후의 세부 연구에는 변화하는 환경에 대비한 직군 간 대화와 직원 역량 강화 방안이 포함되어야 할 것이다.

SW프로세스능력에 관한 현황과 기업성과에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Research for the Software Process Capability and Organizational Performance in Korea)

  • Recently, increasing attention has been paid to building the software quality and software productivity due to ongoing software crisis. To overcome such problem, one of the many alternatives is to use the capability maturity model (CMM) suggested by the Software Engineering Institute(SEI), focusing on the improvement of software progress. This research is proposed the theoretical framework for CMM based on the previous studies, and review the status of software process on the software development organization. We then examine the impact of the software process capability on the organizational performance including financial measures and non-financial measures. Hypotheses on software process capability were tested 144 organizational units. The 62.5% of foreign companies are distribute to the second and third level, the Korean firms in this study are indicated the first level. Result indicate that maturity of software process may be served the key predictor of organizational performance, in particular the positive relationship between the software process and non-financial performance index such as customer service, IT Infrastructure, marketing, supplier and purchaser, production and operation.

기업의 사회적 자본, 지식경영활동, 그리고 성과 간의 구조적 인과관계 (A Structural Causal Relationship of Social Capital, Knowledge Management, and Organizational Performance)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of knowledge management on the organizational performance by using structural equation model and to suggest new integrated framework about knowledge management by understanding the determinants of organizational capability to knowledge management in social capital point of view. To serve the purpose of this study, we conducted the extensive survey on 256 Korean companies in diverse industries including the manufacturing. Specifically, from the empirical result of this study, we identified that knowledge management performs more actively as the level of social capital increases, and the company that achieve knowledge management actively shows relatively higher performance than one that do not. On the other hand, among the sub-factors composing the social capital, Vision/Purpose/Value and Norms of Reciprocity directly affect to the organizational performance without knowledge management.

기업 간 클라우드 컴퓨팅 동화 및 성과에 영향을 미치는 기술 및 환경 요인과 신뢰의 조절효과에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Study on Factors Affecting the Assimilation of Inter-Organizational Cloud Computing and Performance and the Moderating Effect of Trust)

  • This study investigates the effect of technological and environmental factors on the cloud computing assimilation, which then affects firms' performance. The technological characteristics include cost-savings, technology use advantage, technology infrastructure, and technology compatibility while environmental characteristics include partner cooperation, competitive pressure, environmental uncertainty, and business agility. Furthermore, we examine inter-organizational trust as a moderating effect between environmental characteristics and cloud computing assimilation. Data from a sample of 219 firms show the significant impacts of proposed variables with exception of technology infrastructure and technology compatibility. The findings also show that inter-organizational trust has a significant moderating effect in all paths except the one between business agility and cloud computing assimilation. The implication of this study suggests a theoretical framework explaining cloud computing assimilation and performance within inter-organizational environment.

Linking Social Capital, Knowledge Sharing/Conversion, and Organizational Performance in a Customer Service Organization

  • This study attempts to examine the importance of social capital in customer service organizations and clarifies how translates into organizational performance through knowledge management activities. A survey was conducted with the customer service employees, and 256 questionnaires were used for an empirical analysis with smart partial least squares (PLS). The analysis found that relational capital had a positive effect on both the knowledge management components of knowledge sharing and knowledge conversion, while structural capital significantly influenced knowledge sharing. In addition, human capital positively affected knowledge conversion. Both knowledge sharing and knowledge conversion significantly influenced organizational performance. This study proposed a conceptual framework of social capital that influences organizational performance mediated by an organization's knowledge management activities. Based on the results, we suggest practical guidelines for managing social capital and recommend areas of improvement for customer organization's managers and employees.

RFID기술 수용과 구현에 영향을 주는 요인과 조직 준비성의 조절효과 (Determinants Impacting the Adoption and Implementation of RFID Technology and the Moderating Effect of Organizational Readiness)

  • Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) is rapidly growing the attention of many firms as a care technology for their businesses. As RFID moves into the mainstream, it replaces the standard barcodes that is used to identify and track products for a long time. With the intention of gaining competitive advantages, some firms have started the changeover to RFID technology while others have been disinclined to adopt it. Thus, this study examines firms as an attempt to identify key organizational characteristics driving the ear1y adoption and successful implementation of RFID. Results from 228 adopting organizations show Organizational Needs(Ubiquity and Performance Gaps), Technological Factors(Perceived Benefits and Perceived Cost Savings) and RFID Reduced Risk have a significant influence on RFID initiation. In addition, Trust Factors(Institutional Trusts and Inter-organizational Trusts) have a significant impact on RFID Reduced Risk. Finally, Organizational Readiness(Financial Resources and Technological Knowledge) have a significant influence as moderating effects between RFID initiation and adoption. The implications of the findings propose a new theoretical framework for the future IT/IS adoption study and offer suggestions for RFID researchers and practitioners in the development of the technology.
