The purposes of the study were to identify important attributes in foodservice management and culinary arts students' career decision-making and to investigate factors determining their preferred employment fields. A questionnaire that consisted of preferred employment fields, importance rating of 19 attributes related to job choices, and demographic information was developed based on a review of literature. A total of 319 students enrolled in food and nutrition, foodservice management, and culinary arts programs of eight 2-year colleges and 4-year universities in Seoul and Kyunggi Province participated in the survey. Data were analyzed using SPSS Win (version 10.0) with descriptive statistics, chi-square analysis, one-way analysis of variance, factor analysis, and discriminant analysis. Attributes of the highest importance scores included fringe benefits, wages and promotion opportunities, working environments, professional development opportunities, and organizational culturs. The students who preferred non-commercial foodservice as a career choice depended more on 'word-of-mouth from faculty' than those who preferred other fields (F=3.094, p < .05) and rated importance of 'participation in job fairs' higher than those who selected hotel food and beverage (F : 5.048, p < .01) . A factor analysis of the 19 attributes resulted in five factors: job/compensation policy, impersonal communication, company image, word-of-mouth, and personal experience. The five factors explained $67\%$ of the total variance. A discriminant analysis revealed that students who perceived 'impersonal communication' and 'word-of-mouth' more important were likely to prefer non-commercial foodservice as a career choice. The results would be used by university faculty in advising graduating students on career selection and by recruiters in developing effective and attractive recruiting programs.
The organizational effectiveness of hospital in various environmental fluctuations is a large and complex problem. Hospital CEO leadership characteristics may be a critical determinant of employees' job satisfaction and turnover intention. Several empirical studies on transformational leadership found that transformational leadership behaviors were positively related to workers' job satisfaction and turnover intention. Very little research related to this subject has been done in health care settings in Korea. The author explores the relationship between hospital CEO leadership style and its effect on job satisfaction and turnover intention among the all staffs of general hospital. The relationship of hospital CEO leadership style to employees' job satisfaction was investigated using the Bass's leadership paradigm of transformational and transactional leadership. The Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire(MLQ) and the index of job satisfaction and turnover intention were completed by 493 hospital employees(doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, technicians, and assistants). The findings show a similar trend to the previous studies. Hospital CEO leadership behaviors and employee outcomes were significantly correlated. Correlations showed a significant positive relationship between those hospital CEO exhibiting a transformational leadership style and the job satisfaction of their staffs. The results of multiple regression analysis indicate that the effect of charisma in transformational leadership behaviors is more higher than other variables. Transformational leadership style may be a more effective strategy and have a greater effect on staff outcomes, attitudes and behaviors. The findings of this study reveal implications for efficient hospital management and the importance of understanding relationship between hospital CEO's leadership style and subordinate behaviors in the context of CEO's desirable role and function for hospital strategy planning and future direction.

The trend of computerization is significant in Korea even at its beginning stage, especially for governmental administration. However, full-fledged success of computerization in an organization is reported to be rare while the cost of computerization has been high and increasing. This paper is concerned with two features for the successful implementation of a computerized system in an organization selection criteria for the computerization among the possible candidate projects and project selection models. Due to the dearth of literature regarding successful implementation of computerization, other sources of literature with respect to R & D management, method engineering, etc. were reviewed to develop a set of factors influencing successful computerization. Thus, project selection criteria for computerization of governmental administration are developed and organized as follows: cost of computerization project including both system development and operating cost, quanitative and qualitative benefits of computerization project, probability of technical and implementation success of computerization and other organizational and political factors to be considered. These criteria are broken down into detailed sets of subcriteria to be measured. To select a project after thorough consideration of the selection criteria, a project selection model which takes into account all criteria together has to be developed. In the study three project selection models are suggested and developed. They are the checklist model, multi-stage cut-off model, and composite criteria model. A detailed procedure for each of the three models is illustrated. Although the project selection criteria and models are developed here primarily for the computerization of governmental administration, they are easily applicable to other settings of computerization. Finally, some caveats for the use of selection criteria and models are discussed.
The purpose of this study Is to develop empirically validated instrument for business model. The previous researches related to business model were almost taxonomies. And the focus of those researches were the classification by the degree of integration and innovation the origin, and the main source of revenue etc. In the emerging fields such as IT, e-commerce, and e-business, it tends to overlook methodological issue in its substantive relationships and also measurement. Business model is taken an interest in recent years. However, as the non-establishment of construct on business model has made no empirical study, this, study tries to develop an empirical validated instrument that identifies the dimensions of business model by uncovering meaningful group or categories. For this, the outlined domain of business model are defined as an organizational level that competes in the industry through the literature reviews. And the traits such as process integration, value chain reconstruction, strategic alliance with another business model, specialty in a certain wet sustainability of essential capabilities, differentiation, convertibility, customer orientation, revenue stream, newness, innovation leadership: and vision sharing are identified in those respective domains, and then the traits are classified into five dimensions such as interlinkageableness, valueness, functionalness, preemptiveness, and goalness by their characteristics. Generating items are continued on the basis of operationalization. Confirmatory factor analysis is performed in order to develop validated instrument with LISREL measurement model. Finally the instrument is developed through the previous procedure. The implication of this study is the first empirical effort to assess business model. The resulting instrument can be used with dependent variables in the future study related to business model. And the establishment of construct of business model is able to make a basis to rise an additional issue consequently. In the practical side, the instrument also can be employed as an assessment framework that can assess whether the expected value success or not. The instrument with the measurement can be used on competitor's business model, In. When an investment into a i-m with a specific business model, these instrument developed can be presented as the basic framework of assessment.

Basic science teaching and clinical education should be integrated whenever appropriate, and the development of skills, values, and attitudes which are emphasized to the same extent as the acquisition of knowledge in nursing. Problem-based learning provides a students-centered learning environment and encourages an inquisitive style of learning. The purpose of this paper is to review and comment the role of tutors and students on problem-based learning. The use of problem-based learning places a high demand on faculty members' time and support. The role of tutors in Problem-based learning focuses primarily on issues of developing and teaching the curriculum and on organizational implementation and institutionalization. Tutors are an integral part of course planning. Tutors serve as a constant source of feedback on student needs and concerns to the course director and constitute an informal steering committee while the course is in progress. Tutors write cases, develop student evaluation methods, recommend resources, suggest modifications in lectures and laboratories. Students have a limited amount of time available to study what is traditionally defined as the core content of nursing. But, the role of students in Problem-based learning would be active, independent learners and problem-solvers rather than passive recipients of information. Students using a deep level approach attempt to integrate what they learn with what they already know, to understand the meaning underlying the material to be learned, and to look for explanations rather than facts. Students are encouraged, with appropriate guidance, to define their own learning goals, to select appropriate experiences to achieve these goals, and to be responsible for assessing their own learning progress. Problem-based learning is more flexible and meaningful, by encouraging student interaction, and by having a better emotional climate than the conventional learning.

In this paper, we study the relationships between organization characteristics and desired software quality attributes of enterprise systems. We collected data from three client organizations in three different domains (auto manufacturer, insurance services firm, and government agency) that adopted enterprise software of the same software vendor. Our analysis discovers that capability is a more important attribute to the manufacturing and insurance firms than the government agency. Usability is ranked the highest among other attributes for the government agency and reliability for the manufacturing firm. The relationships identified in this study will help enterprise systems vendors predict their customer needs and, ultimately, increase effectiveness and efficiency in their software development processes. Such findings will be specially useful when software vendors develop enterprise software for a venture firm by enabling them to meet the customer needs customized by the organization haracteristics while staying within the incubating firm's limited budget.

The purpose of this study was to provide fundamental data for the plans to reduce occupational stress by analyzing occupational stress of medical technologist. The experimental group comprised of 193 medical technologists working in Gyeonggi province. Occupational stress was 49.74 out of 100. In detail, job insecurity showed a high value of 64.42, followed by organizational system, lack of reward, physical environment, job demand, insufficient job control, interpersonal conflict, and occupational climate with respective values of 52.46, 52.30, 51.18, 49.57, 48.43, 39.78 and 39.77. It is recommended that those in high-stress job group increase physical activity and reduce job insecurity to improve health. The development of programs to reduce occupational stress are necessary, and this study can provide objective information using biological indicators.

The purpose of this study is to propose an effective development of teacher librarians' practice teaching and to identify how much teacher librarians' practice teaching affects their expertise in Korea. For this, two research models are constructed. The first model is to analyze the relationship of variables between the effect of practice teaching and the following variables: pretraining, practice program, advisory teacher, training condition and organizational atmosphere. The second model is to analyze how much the practice teaching affects their role perception and expertise compared with training courses and field experiences. The result is as follow: It is the training program that greatly affects teacher librarians' practice teaching among those variables. And the practice teaching has a positive effect on the ability of role performance. According to the above result, the practice teaching is effective in developing teacher librarians' expertise. And more systematic practice teaching program, enough pretraining and the efforts of advisory teacher are necessary to enhance the effect of teacher librarians' practice teaching.
The purpose of this study was to estimate key competencies according to their levels in order to understand person's ability in automobile fields of school and workplace. For this study, key competencies consisting of mathematical skills, problem solving skills, communications skills, self management and development skills, resources recycling skills, interpersonal relationship skills, technological skills, information skills, organizational understanding skills were determined. We examined the related literatures to determine the level of key competencies and diverse opinions were accommodated with visits to workplace in order to enhance the validity of the results of this study. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that the estimation of key competencies according to their levels was possible and valid.

This study aimed to exploratorily investigate the new roles of libraries in the era of K-MOOC. For this, potential roles were derived and categorized from former researches and practices. And to evaluate the appropriacy of those roles, two expert surveys were conducted. Panel A was comprised of 30 professors who had been running K-MOOC classes and Panel B was comprised of 30 librarians of Universities that had adopted K-MOOC. The result shows that they both agree about distinct roles of library as information provider such as licensing and providing digital contents requested from information users, while technological part, for example, recording video and audio, managing website, and providing open access, was considered inappropriate because those roles were already taken by CTLs. Also, professors agree that information literacy education is required for teachers not just for students as the speed of technological development is too swift and librarians agree that they have to equipped with core competence in preparation for upcoming change by creating added value, establishing closer relationship with various educational and technological institutes, and securing organizational flexibility.
