Analysis of the Impact of Mobile Office Technology on Organizational Collaboration

  • The rapid deployment of smart mobile equipments such as mobile phones and mobile note pads is considered a driving force to change several aspects of today's work life in organizations. Among all, this paper focuses on organizational collaboration as collaboration is a key aspect of organizational performance and success and is considered to be affected by digitally mediated communication. A questionnaire survey was performed to analyze the impact of the use of modern mobile office technology on productivity increase under the context of organizational collaboration. Some specific functions of mobile office technology were found to significantly affect the productivity. In addition, different requirements for desired collaboration were found to be associated with the use of different functions of mobile office technology and different situational use of the technology. Organizational and technical implications of the findings are discussed.

간호사-의사 협력, 직무자율성과 조직몰입의 관계 (The Relationship among Nurse-Doctor Collaboration, Job Autonomy and Organizational Commitment)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate and analyze the state of the relationship among nurse-doctor collaboration, job autonomy and organizational commitment. Method: The 304 participants were obtained who were working at a General ward, Intensive care unit and Operation room in three university hospitals located in Seoul and Kyunggi-do. The data were collected using a structured questionnaire from March 2d to April 10th, 2009. The collected data were analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test and Pearson's correlation on SPSS Win 16.0. Result: There was a significant relationship among nurse-doctor collaboration, job autonomy and organizational commitment. The level of appointment, clinical experience and current hospital experience of nurses affected significantly nurse-doctor collaboration, job autonomy and organizational commitment. The age of nurse had the relation nurse-doctor collaboration and organizational commitment. The relationship between the nurse's working area and job autonomy had positive correlation. Conclusions: The findings of study suggest that the program enhancing the collaborated relationship between nurses and doctors is important to improve nurse's job autonomy and organizational commitment under the situation of citizen's demanding more advanced medical service.

SCM 협력, 신제품 개발, 조직문화의 관계 (The Associations between SCM Collaboration, New Product Development, and Organizational Culture)

  • Although many prior studies have investigated the relationship between supply chain and new product development (NPD), the causal relationship between them has not been clearly established. Therefore, this study investigated systematically over the entire process of supply chain management (SCM) from trust to NPD capability, including not only the associations between trust, commitment, collaboration, supply chain quality, and NPD capability, but also the impact of organizational culture in the context of supply chain. In particular, this study examined the mediating effect of commitment on the relationship between trust and collaboration of channel members. In addition, it studies the moderating effect of organizational culture on the relationship between collaboration, supply chain quality, and NPD capability. Using a questionnaire survey, 112 usable responses are obtained. PLS (partial least square) is employed to assess the relationships among related constructs. The results of the data analysis show that (1) commitment mediates the link between trust and collaboration (2) supply chain quality is positively associated with NPD capability, and (3) organizational culture significantly moderates the association between collaboration and supply chain quality, yet it does not the relationship SC quality and NPD capability. Finally, the implications of the results are discussed, and directions for future research are suggested.

기업 간 협업 네트워크의 창발 : 관계 역량을 중심으로 (Emergence of Inter-organizational Collaboration Networks : Relational Capability Perspective)

  • This paper proposes relational capability as a main driver of constructing inter-organizational collaboration networks. Based on social network theory and relational view literature, three components of relational capability are constructed and implemented by an agent-based model. The components include organizational capability, structural capability, and trust between a partner and a focal firm. These three components are updated by two micro mechanisms: structural mechanism and relational mechanism. Structural mechanism is a feedback loop in which the relational capability increases structural capability and vice versa. Relational mechanism is a learning-by-doing process in which a focal firm experiences success or failure of collaboration and the experience increases or decreases cumulative trust in a partner firm. Result of agent-based simulation shows that a collaboration network emerges through interactions of firm's relational capabilities and the characteristics of emerged networks vary with the contribution of structural capability and trust to relational capability. Specifically, in case structural capability contributes more to relational capability, the average degree centrality and collaboration proportion increases as time passes and enters into an equilibrium state. In that case, almost every firms participated in the network collaborates each other so that the emerged network becomes highly cohesive. In case trust contributes more to relational capability, the results are reversed. In an equilibrium state, the balance of contribution between structural capability and trust makes an emerged network larger and maximizes average degree centrality of the network.

  • 국내 대학 및 산업계의 경제상황하에서 정부는 최근 어려운 경제상황의 회복뿐만 아니라 대학졸업생들의 취업률을 높이기 위하여 산학협력을 강조하고 있다. 대학의 산학협력단의 활성화를 통하여 대학, 산업계, 지역사회 및 국가경제 등의 발전을 이끌어내기 위해서는 먼저 다양한 구성원의 개인적인 행동과 조직의 목표를 연결해 주고 구성원의 조직행동에도 큰 영향을 미치는 산학협력단장의 리더십의 중요성을 인식해야 할 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 기존의 리더십 및 산학협력에 관한 문헌자료를 통하여 대학의 교수진과 산업계의 최고경영자 및 연구진들을 관리하며 조직의 목표를 달성하는데 요구되는 산학협력단장의 전략적인 리더십을 제안하고자 한다.

공급자가 구축한 관계 특유적 무형자산의 보호수단으로서 협업의 역할에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Role of Collaboration as Safeguard for Supplier's Relationship-specific Intangible Asset)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine whether suppliers are able to benefit by means of constructing a relationship-specific intangible asset and participating in collaboration with purchasers to actively maintain value created while mutually using inter-organizational information systems. To achieve the purpose of this study. 82 questionnaires have been analyzed from suppliers which are using electronic transactions through inter-organizational information systems. As a result, business process specificity and domain knowledge specificity, which are relationship-specific intangible assets, affect operational collaboration and strategic collaboration, which are classified by level of decision-making. Although both types of collaboration are needed to achieve both strategic and operational benefits, we find each collaboration to be uniquely promoted by a specific types of relationship-specific intangible asset. Operational collaboration is found to be an antecedent to operational benefit and strategic collaboration is found to be an antecedent to strategic benefits. No crossover between collaboration and supplier's benefits is found. Consequently, the result of this study shows collaboration is needed for domestic suppliers, which have relatively low levels of collaboration, to keep maintain relationship-specific intangible assets and to prevent the relationship termination cost when transactions have been stopped between supplier and purchaser. Also the results imply the supplier can have advantages by participating in collaboration.

A Study on the Relationships between Organizational Factors and Characteristics of Category Management System in Domestic Retail Industry

  • This study conducted to identify the impact of organizational factors on the characteristics of category management system, market orientation and collaboration orientation, in domestic retail industry, and also to identify the relationship between organizational factors and category management system's characteristics varies depending on the business type, retailer and supplier. To accomplish these research purposes, the study performed statistical analyses using a total of 94 samples. The results of the study can be summarized as follows. First, the organizational factors that affect market orientation of the category management system were found to be information technology infrastructure and organizational management system, and the organizational factors that affect collaborative orientation of the category management system were found to be partnerships and organizational management systems. Second, the relationship between market orientation and collaborative orientation of the category management system does not differ by the business type.

  • 본 연구에서는 조직 내부커뮤니케이션이 협업성과와 조직효과성과에 미치는 관계 및 온라인협업도구의 조절효과를 파악하고자 하였다. 분석결과, 정보교환과 대인관계는 정보공유에, 정보교환, 의사소통, 대인관계는 협업문화 및 업무성과에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 협업성과요인은 모두 직무만족에, 업무성과는 조직몰입에 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 정보교환과 대인관계는 모든 협업성과 요인을 통해, 의사소통은 협업문화, 업무성과 요인을 통해 직무만족에 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 정보교환, 의사소통, 대인관계는 협업문화와 업무성과를 통해 조직몰입에 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 온라인협업도구는 대인관계와 정보공유, 상호협력과 협업문화, 정보교환과 업무성과, 업무성과와 직무만족 사이에서 조절효과가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 조직내내부 커뮤니케이션 구성요인을 고려한 온라인 커뮤니케이션 협업도구를 구축 및 활용에 하나의 시사점을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중소벤처기업 구성원을 대상으로 스마트워크 특성요인 중 지식공유행동, 자기효능감, 팀 협업, 직무자율성이 조직혁신성에 미치는 영향과 세대별/디지털 리터러시 수준에 따른 차이를 연구하고, 중소벤처기업의 조직혁신에 반영할 수 있도록 시사점을 제공하기 위함이다. 분석결과 지식공유행동과 팀 협업은 조직혁신성에 영향을 미치고 있고, 자기효능감, 직무자율성은 조직혁신성에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 조절효과로, 디지털 리터러시 수준에 따라 자기효능감과 팀 협업에서 차이를 보였고, 세대별로는 지식공유행동과 자기효능감, 팀 협업에서 차이가 있는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 중소벤처기업의 스마트워크 환경 변화에 따른 조직혁신성의 중요한 영향 요인을 확인하여, 기업경쟁력을 확보할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였으며, 세대별/디지털 리터러시 수준의 차이에 따른 스마트워크 특성과 조직혁신성의 관계를 확인하고, 이를 통해 차별적인 역량개발과 활용방안을 강구하여야 조직혁신이 강화될 수 있다는 시사점을 제시하고 있다.

사회복지 조직간 협력관리 요인에 관한 탐색적 연구 (A Study on the Management Factor in the Collaboration among Social Service Organizations)

  • 이 연구는 사회복지 조직간 협력에 영향을 미치는 협력관리 요인을 도출하여 그 의미를 찾고, 협력관리요인이 조직간 협력에 영향을 미치는지 검증하였다. 이론 검토를 통하여 공식 비공식 만남, 계약, 협력담당자 선정과 같은 협력관리내용은 기존의 조직요인이나 협력결과와 구분되는 개념으로 인식하였다. 조사 분석 결과, 협력관리 요인이 조직간 협력에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타남으로써 조직간 협력관리의 정책수립이나 제도화가 조직간 협력을 더욱 활성화시킬 수 있음을 시사하였다. 연구결과를 통하여, 조직간 협력관리의 기술, 노하우, 이론의 개발을 주장하며, 조직간 협력을 활성화할 수 있는 관리활동을 서비스 조직 및 정부의 정책차원에서 제도화할 필요가 있음을 제안한다.
