Relationship among Followership, Organizational Cynicism, Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Hotel Employee (호텔기업 구성원의 팔로워십, 조직냉소주의, 조직시민행동 영향 관계)

  • The purpose of this research investigates the relationship among followership, organizational cynicism, and organizational citizenship behavior in Hotel employee. The data are analyzed by such frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, covariance structure analysis. The SPSS 10.1 and AMOS 4.0 for Windows program was used to investigate material. The major finding and implication can be summarized as follow: First, the analysis on relationship between followership and organizational cynicism revealed that critical thinking and active participation dimensions of but enthusiasm dimension of followership has not affected organizational citizenship behavior. Second, the analysis on relationship between organizational cynicism and organizational citizenship behavior revealed that organizational cynicism affects organizational citizenship behavior.

Mediation Effect of Organizational Citizenship Behavior between Job Embeddedness and Turnover Intention in Hospital Nurses (간호사의 직무착근도와 이직의도의 관계에서 조직시민행동의 매개효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify the mediating effect of organizational citizenship behavior between job embeddedness and turnover intention in hospital nurses. Methods: Data were collected from 241 nurses in 3 tertiary hospitals and 2 secondary hospitals in Daegu and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlations and structural equation model (SEM) with the PASW 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 program. Results: There were negative relationships between job embeddedness and turnover intention (r=-.53, p<.01), and organizational citizenship behavior and turnover intention (r=-.39, p<.01) but a positive relationship between job embeddedness and organizational citizenship behavior (r=.39, p<.01). There was a partial mediating effect of organizational citizenship behavior between job embeddedness and turnover intention (${\chi}^2=91.02$, p<.001). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that organizational citizenship behavior has a mediating effect on the relationship between job embeddedness and turnover intention in hospital nurses, suggesting that enhancing organizational citizenship behavior is required. in order to promote job embeddedness and reduce turnover intention.

The Impact of Value Inclination of SME Members on Organizational Citizenship Behavior: Focusing on the Role of Job Satisfaction and Perceived Organizational Support

  • Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to find out a range of cues that trigger employees to willingly make efforts for corporate development in small and medium enterprises. This was determined by assessing the effects of employees' value inclination on their job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior as well as how they perceived their organizational support. Research design, data, and methodology - A total of 126 valid questionnaire sheets collected from SME employees were analyzed with SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 involving simple regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, hierarchical moderated regression analysis and 3-step mediated regression analysis. Results - The analyses highlighted employees' personal value inclination had positive effects on their job satisfaction, which in turn enhanced their organizational citizenship behavior. Meanwhile, individualist and collectivist inclination exerted greater effects on job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior, respectively. The study also revealed that perceived organizational support moderated the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. Conclusion - Hence, CEOs in SMEs should avert any dichotomous analysis of their employees' value inclination, respect their personal value inclinations and also apply factors that could raise their job satisfaction. Likewise, it was shown that SME employees need to make personal efforts for organizational development.

Integrated Performance Measurement as a Strategic Management Accounting Approach: A Case of Beverage Businesses in Thailand

  • This study aims to examine the effects of integrated performance measurement on firm success of beverage businesses in Thailand. Integrated performance measurement, organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior, and firm success are the main variables of the study. In this study, all 653 beverage businesses from Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, Thailand are the samples of the study. The data collection was provided during February - April, 2016. A mail survey procedure via questionnaire was used for data collection. 163 responses were received. Of the surveys completed and returned, 159 were usable. The structural equation model (SEM) is conducted to examine the effects of integrated performance measurement on organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior and firm success. The results show that integrated performance measurement positively influences organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior and firm success. Organizational commitment positively affects both organizational citizenship behavior and firm success while organizational citizenship behavior positively impacts firm success. In summary, integrated performance measurement as a strategic management accounting approach is a key determinant of firms' business outcome. Firms need to support their resources and capabilities in developing, implementing, utilizing, and maintaining integrated performance measurement. Potential discussion, conclusion, and suggestions and directions for future research are highlighted.

Does Perceived Organizational Politics Mediate the Relationship between Job Satisfaction and Organizational Citizenship Behavior? Insights from Bangladesh

  • Purpose: This study mainly aims to investigate the connection between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior of bank employee. Another objective of this study is to check out the mediating impact of perceived organizational politics of bank personnel on the connection between their job happiness and citizenship behavior. Research design, data and methodology: Snowball sampling is utilized in this study, which is done among bank personnel at different public and private banks across north-eastern region of Bangladesh as well as information is accumulated through the use of a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire. IBM SPSS v22, Andrew F. Hayes process macro v3.5 and SmartPLS 3 are used to complete descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The study results explore that employees' political perception has a negative influence on organizational citizenship behavior where bank employees' job happiness has a positive impact on structural citizenship manners and negative impact on perceived organizational politics. Surprisingly, perceptions of organizational politics were found to have an insignificant mediating effect on the connection between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. Conclusions: The present study reveals that satisfied bank personnel shows positive and constructive actions toward their organization where their political perception has an insignificant mediation.

  • To investigate effect of organization justice on organizational commitment, I surveyed the concept of organization justice, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior and then I reviewed what formative factors of organization justice increased organizational commitment or what formative factors of organization justice and organizational commitment increased organizational citizenship behavior. The result of this study proved that organization justice and organizational commitment influenced organizational citizenship behavior a lot and the purpose of this study was carried out like following ; The formative factors of organization justice, that is, procedure fairness and distribution fairness come out by theoretical study influenced organization commitment and the formative factors of organization commitment, commitment about company and turnover influenced organizational citizenship behavior. In addition, the hypothesis that the higher the organization justice is, the higher the organizational commitment was positive. Therefore, in position control of restaurant employees, giving employees the motive of organization commitment as procedure fairness and distribution fairness control strictly enable employees to have citizenship about organization and enable employers to control employees effectively.

  • Considering the above points, this study has been conducted to find out the effects brought by perceived organizational justice towards organizational citizenship behavior, with focus on multi-dimension and multi-class nature of trust. With this objective, I researched the following. First, which type gives larger effect to organizational citizenship behavior, the type of distributive justice (that is lower dimension of organizational justice) or that of procedural justice. Second, what effects are given to the 5 types of trust, by distributive justice and procedural justice. Also, what effects are given to organizational citizenship behavior by the 5 types of trust. Third, which type of justice gives larger effect to organizational citizenship behavior when trust is served as a medium. Fourth, which items should be dealt in priority to lead members of organization towards a desirable direction. The research for this purpose was conducted on the basis of comprehensive analysis of variable including. socio-population variable.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of transformational leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. It also investigated the mediating effect of self leadership on the causal relationship between transformational leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. Research results, transformational leadership had a positive affected on the self leadership, The self leadership had a positive affected on organizational citizenship behavior. And transformational leadership did not make a significant impact on organizational citizenship behavior. Finally, the self leadership was a full mediator on the relationships between the transformational leadership and the organizational citizenship behavior. Based on these findings, the implications and the limitations of the study were presented including some directions for future studies.

Factors Affecting Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Operating Room Nurses (수술실 간호사의 조직시민행동 영향요인)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the factors related to the organizational citizenship behavior of nurses in the operating room (OR). These factors include positive psychological capital, perceived organizational culture, and job characteristics. Methods: A descriptive correlational study design was used. A total of 185 OR nurses from nine general and advanced general hospitals across three metropolitan areas in South Korea completed the questionnaires. The questionnaires included items on organizational citizenship behavior, positive psychological capital, organizational culture, and job characteristics. Descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis were conducted using SPSS/WIN 21.0. Results: The mean score for organizational citizenship behavior was 3.62 out of 5. Positive psychological capital, relationship-oriented organizational culture, and feedback on job characteristics were verified as influencing factors of OR nurses' organizational citizenship behaviors. The explanatory power of this regression model was 48.2%. Conclusion: Reinforcement of positive psychological capital of individual OR nurses and organizational efforts to endorse relationship-oriented organizational culture is required. It follows that OR nurses' organizational citizenship behavior can be enhanced based on mutual trust, cohesiveness, and feedback on their work performance.
