It found that employee silence negatively impacts both organizations and their employees as shown in findings from many studies and recently there has been a growing interest in it. Silence is described as intentionally withholding job-related ideas, information, concerns, and opinions. Employee silence may decrease organizational change and innovation and reduce employee learning motivation and knowledge sharing engagement as well. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among silence motivations, perceived silence climate, and employee silence; the relationships among employee silence, learning inertia and knowledge sharing disengagement; the mediating role of employee silence between antecedents of employee silence and consequences additionally. The results that analyzed using data from 225 employees in 42 organizations are as follows. First, the impact of silence motivation and perceived silence climate on employee silence are positively significant. Second, the influence of defensive silence motivation on the acquiescent and relational silence motivation is positively significant. Third, the influence of employee silence on learning inertia and knowledge sharing disengagement is positively significant. Forth, employee silence mediates the relationship between silence motivation and perceived silence climate and learning inertia and knowledge sharing disengagement. These results suggest that employee silence is another strong expression and message for organizations to try to establish a learning organization from the perspective of knowledge management.

In this digital age, all organizational environments force businesses to adopt Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) since these technologies have immense impact on such businesses' competitiveness and productivity. Nonetheless, the productivity and the competitiveness enjoyed by such firms vary depending on the size or the organizations, context of the country; developing or developed, and what kinds of technologies are adopted. This investigation focused on small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of Eastern province of Sri Lanka where such studies are scanty. The adoption of social media (SM) by SMEs is inclined to change how organizations operate, this calls for an investigation of the elements that impact SMEs to adopt SM and such investigation. Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework was based to understand the factors. Research approach was quantitative approach using questionnaire survey. Data were collected using online form to see 285 valid responses. Structural Equation Modelling was deployed to evaluate the proposed model. Results revealed that Relative Advantage, Compatibility, Complexity, Observability, Competitive Intensity, Bandwagon Pressure, and Competitive Pressure were influencing, while Trialability, Top Management Support, CEO's Innovativeness did not show statistically significant influence on SMEs' social media adoption.

The knowledge management was considered as the inevitable result of the rule of knowledge in this era, and its importance became clear in being the main source for achieving success, the need to consider and manage knowledge as an independent field that must be addressed with a clear scientific methodology has become intangible - they are very valuable and a strategic asset. On the other hand, the innovation process relates to all parts of the organization, and helps to improve the behavioral patterns of individuals and their attitudes towards adopting modern and innovative ideas, it is a purposeful process adopted by the senior management and works to provide the capabilities and requirements for embodying the innovative behavior in it. In the field of dealing with the market, it is a product of the organization's innovative approach, which aims at advancement, change, and intended and organized renewal. The main objective of this article is to determine the most appropriate ways to integrate knowledge management mechanisms to employ innovation factors within universities based on the role of universities in supporting innovation. This was achieved through reviewing many relevant research and listing the most prominent concepts of knowledge management, its importance, objectives, and processes determining the stages of knowledge management application, the requirements for applying knowledge management, and the obstacles that impede its application; Then the statement "Innovation in universities, through which it addressed the concept of innovation, its importance, stages, and requirements for its application, as well as identifying the most prominent models of innovation, and obstacles to innovation, in addition to that the role of universities in supporting innovation will be identified. From the surveyed study done in this article, we concluded that the relationship among organizational culture, knowledge management and innovation capability can provide useful insights for managers regarding developing a strong culture, promote knowledge management practices effectively and eventually enhance the whole organization's innovation capability. Also, we found that different components of Knowledge Management as Knowledge activities, Knowledge types, transformation of knowledge and technology have a significant positive effect in bringing innovation through transformation of knowledge into knowledge assets in universities.

This study delves into the National Archives of Korea's service that provides information on changes in records-creating agencies, identifying the problems in an organizational relationship structure and exploring potential enhancements using the RiC-O. Drawing insights from the French PIAAF project, we applied RiC-O to integrate information on records and records creators, elucidating relationships between data entities. Our analysis demonstrated that leveraging RiC-O, coupled with technologies like linked data, amplifies the interoperability of authority records, substantially enhancing the service providing information on changes in records-creating agencies. Based on these findings, we propose an authority record service based on RiC-O, presenting a prototype designed to improve the National Archives of Korea's change information service and enhance user experience.
The current economic environmental changes such as globalization, information and opening of the market is calling for or needing the more rapid change of management and/or marketing strategies of the company than they did before to survive in tile borderless international competition. Under this situation, this study focuses on the correspondence strategies of Electronic Commerce which is one of the key elements to overcome or lead the above demands through seeking the problems of the current EC acception and application specially in Chollabuk Do province. For the above purpose, this study surveys the questionary with business firms of above area and figures out what is the correlation between business form and size and EC acception and application and what is the problems on it. And than provides several counter strategies which are following based on the survey to keep this area companies from out of business and lead the above economic environmental changes. To expand the adoption and application of EC to this area, firstly, top managers of the company must recognize the necessity and importance of EC compared with traditional commerce and change their perception and attitude concerning EC positively, and than try to accept it as soon as possible. Secondly, the company need the retained earning to invest to EC and educate their managers and employees with total participation. Thirdly, local government has to improve its attention to EC as a best way or opportunity to reduce and overcome the economical gap and development its economy because EC can remove the physical time or distance and space, scale and capital limitations. Finally, government has to expand and establish information infrastructure such as technical infrastructure(communication and security technology), Functional infrastructure like standard protocol, Organizational infrastructure(interchange agreement, relative law) and social infrastructure to improve efficient electronic transaction which can Increase the company' international compatitiveness under the current economy trend.
This study examines academic research trends and the change of patterns by analyzing researches related to hospital management registered in Korea Citation Index(KCI) from 2010 to 2014 and offers basic information for interests and future research demands in the field of hospital management As research subjects, a total of 694 published articles were selected. It's to analyze them by dividing into research topics, methods and author's characteristics, and to present them by classifying the period into 2010-2011, 2012-2013, 3rd quarter of 2014 since there was no significant difference in the result between adjacent years. As a result, Korean Journal of Hospital Management has accounted for the highest published rate year after year. In the research topic analysis, it showed a decreasing trend in these research topics as medical marketing and patient satisfaction which became the biggest issue in 2010-2011 significantly were lower in 2014, but an increasing trend in job satisfaction, job stress, labor administration and workforce productivity. The most frequently cited keywords were hospital employees, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, job stress, turnover intention. According to the research method analysis, the survey was the most popular method for data collection. However, Interview and medical records as data sources showed a decline trend. As analysis methods, multivariate analysis of quantitative methods was most used. Finally, as a result of analyzing main author's characteristics, the ratio of the authors belonging to health administration and nursing departments of the academic world increased gradually. In the regional distribution, organizations in Seoul are most common, those in Daegu Gyeongbuk areas, foreign organizations showed a tendency to decrease. This is the first study to examine the annual trend on hospital management-related research issues among articles published in domestic journal and we found qualitative and quantitative advances in hospital management research filed.
Ideation is a process of generating new ideas or solutions using online crowd-sourcing technologies. This process has the potential to change the ways by which government agencies innovate and solve problems. Although increasingly more government agencies are implementing online ideation programs to tap into their employees' ideas and creativity, little is known about the unique challenges and effective practices of such programs. Thus, many government agencies are undergoing trial and error and often reinventing the wheel. This research aims to address this problem. By analyzing a focus group session and four cases of U.S. federal government ideation programs designed for their employees, this research identifies important organizational and technological challenges and effective practices. Furthermore, effective practices are grouped into different phases of ideation process and strategic vs. tactical levels to provide more meaningful and actionable insights. This research is an important step towards building a theoretical foundation for government ideation programs. The implications and limitations of this study are discussed.
This qualitative research aimed to understand what leadership engineers need to have based on perceptions of people in charge of human resources in the large engineering companies in Korea. Focused group interviews were performed with 10 participants and the collected qualitative data were analyzed using the constant comparative method. The findings showed that the required leadership for engineers consists of six elements: technological professionalism, management skills, cross-functional skills, abilities to change organizational culture, work ethics, and technological creativity. This leadership elements were formulated in the engineering work environment and job characteristics which can be represented by technology-based professionalism, flexibility in work, and process-centered work. The implications for collegiate engineering leadership education were also suggested.
This article focuses on the use of case management in the Self-support program. Case management is a service modality which provides integrated services for people with multiple needs in the community. The goal to accomplish self-sufficiency of working participants in Self-Support Programs is positively affected by the efforts to reduce high social risks they are exposed. It is recommended that the agencies running Self-support programs apply case management to increase the quality of lives as well as the effectiveness of exiting statuses of conditional welfare recipients. Several service considerations of case management are recommended for the change in the structure and functioning of the Self-Support Program: Integrated view and contextualized thinking, empowerment-oriented approach, and a development of the community support system through networking. Types of case management and practice roles of the case manager applicable to the Self-Support Program are also recommended. Structural aspects of an organization, inter-organizational linkages and contextual factors need to be considered to improve problematic conditions that have not enough resources and appropriate authorities in providing case management functions.

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of implementation of the healthcare accreditation system on patient safety, quality of medical care, organization culture and management performance of convalescent hospitals. Ten hospitals were selected at random from among 36 convalescent hospitals in Daegu that had obtained accreditation until September 2015. To accomplish this, hospital staff were surveyed from 15 February to 25 March, 2016 using a questionnaire with 253 objects. We investigated how the healthcare accreditation system has influenced patient safety, service quality, organization culture and performance of hospital management. The change in the treatment support system showed the highest score of 3.93 among quality change and medical service items, while that of personnel source culture showed the highest score of 3.78 points among organization culture items, and that of internal process view, study and growth view showed the highest score of 3.71 among management performance items. Multiple regression analysis revealed that factors positively changing hospital management performance were nurses, employees and managers, basic value systems, organization culture, personnel source culture, open system culture, hierarchical culture, and production oriented culture. The quality of patient safety and medical care was positively influenced by changes in the quality of convalescent hospitals after implementation of the healthcare accreditation system. However, among the four types of organizational culture, the financial perspective was relatively low compared to other perspectives.
