The Effects of Job Education on Organizational Commitment of New Extensionist - Focus on Meditating Role of Organizational Socialization - (신규 농촌지도사의 직무교육이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 - 조직사회화를 매개로 -)

  • The study aims to examine the effects of job education on organizational socialization of new extensionist who is working in extension organization. The subjects were 425 people and selected nationwide. The research model consisted of organizational socialization strategy as an independent variable, organizational socialization as a mediator, and organizational commitment as a dependent variable. The research hypothesis was com posed of three item s and different analysis methods were used for each research problem. The main analytical methods were descriptive statistics, multiple regression analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results of the study are as follows. Firstly, the degree of organizational socialization was higher in males and females, in higher education, and in social workers than in non-males. Secondly, in the relationship between organizational socialization strategy and organizational socialization, job education significantly explained interpersonal relationship, organizational goal value, and work efficiency. Thirdly, job education has a statistically significant effectiveness on organizational commitment. Fourthly, in the relationship between job education and organizational commitment, organizational socialization variables such as interpersonal relationship, organizational goal value, and work efficiency were found to do a partial mediating roles.

The Effect of Hospital Internal Marketing and Organizational Communication Perceived by Nurses on Organizational Performance (간호사가 인식하는 내부마케팅과 조직의사소통이 간호조직성과에 미치는 영향)

  • This study tried to identify hospital internal marketing, organizational communication, and the degree of organizational performance targeted at nurses working in university hospitals, and apprehend factors affecting organizational performance. A structured questionnaire, where 239 nurses answered, was used to figure out general features, hospital internal marketing, organizational communication, and organizational performance. Descriptive statistics, Indepented t-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression analyses were used to analyze the data. The analyzing tool was IBM SPSS 21.0 program. The result of this study was as follows: hospital internal marketing 3.13±0.58 points, organizational communication 3.23±0.48 points, and organizational performance 3.34±0.51 points. Organizational performance showed a positive correlation with hospital internal marketing and organizational communication, and those two explained 61.0% of organizational performance. Therefore, hospital internal marketing strategy - encouraging nurses in individual aspect - and integrated strategy - establishing various communication channels in organizational aspect - are required to increase the organizational performance of nurses.

Factors affecting the Organizational Commitment of Industrial Accident Hospital Employees by Job Category (병원 구성원들의 직종별 조직몰입의 영향요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of socio-demographic, organizational culture, organizational conflict and organizational commitment, and to examine the interrelation of influential factors in the organizational commitment. The data for this study were collected through a self-administrated survey with a structured questionnaire to 1,027 subjects from several medical doctor staff members, nursing staff members, administration staff members, pharmacist, and technical expert of eleven hospitals. The data were collected by self-reporting questionnaire from July 29 to September 7, 2002. In this analysis frequency test, t-test, ANOVA, multiple regression were used. The main results of this research is as following; 1. According to socio-demographic characteristics the respondents' level of the organizational commitment was higher in a administration staff members than others, for males than females, and for employees aged more than forty, as working for longer time, and as higher level of the working position. 2. According to the organizational culture characteristics the progressive culture, affiliative culture, and task-focused culture among many types of organizational culture were moderately and positively correlated with the level of the organizational commitment while the hierarchical culture was negatively correlated. 3. According to the organizational conflict characteristics as the respondents who got less conflict experience in the organization, their level of the organizational commitment was higher. And, technical conflict experiences were expressed greater than hierarchical conflict experiences. 4. According to the job satisfaction characteristics as his or her satisfaction that is about the promotion, working itself, salary, and fellowship in the organizational was higher, the level of the organizational commitment was higher. The most important factor of the satisfactions was the fellowship among the respondents while the level of job satisfaction for the promotion and salary was average. 5. Overall, according to the result of Multiple Regression as older age and longer working hours, the level of the organizational commitment was higher and as a higher level of the satisfaction for the promotion, working itself, salary, and fellowship in the organization, it caused more effective factors for the organizational commitment. 6. According to the result of Multiple Regression for the doctor staff members in special hospitals rather than general hospitals the hierarchical culture and task focused culture was positively correlated with the satisfaction of working itself while hierarchical conflict factors in the organizational conflict characteristics was negatively correlated with the organizational commitment. For the nursing staff members the affiliative culture and the job satisfaction for the promotion, working itself, salary, and fellowship were positively correlated with the organizational commitment. For the administration staff members as the job satisfaction for the fellowship was positively correlated with the organizational commitment. For medical and pharmacy staff members as more working experience, correlation with the organizational commitment was positive. Besides, as he or she has a high perception of the affiliative culture, it caused statistically more effective factors for the organizational commitment. For the skill and technicians, male worker expressed greater organizational commitment in the organization than female worker. And also older age along with higher education also showed higher organizational commitment. Moreover, the job satisfaction for the fellowship was positively correlated with the organizational commitment. This study identified the major effective factors of the organizational commitment and analyzed the differences among the job category. In that respect, it is significant for the study to be able to provide a reference for managing hospital of industrial accident and organizational development. However, this study has a problem, which is not to identify a valuable model for examining the relationship between organizational factors such as organizational culture, conflict, satisfaction, and commitment. Therefore, further study is needed and strengthened in the field of organizational commitment for hospital for industrial accident.

A study on the Clinical nurses' Organizational (간호사의 조직 몰입에 관한 일 연구)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study investigated the relationship between nurses' organizational commitment and their demographic characteristics. Method : The sample for this study consisted 356 nurses from 6 hospital at Seoul and Kyung Gi province, in Korea The Organizational Commitment Questionnaire developed by Mowday was used. The Pearson correlation coefficient, Tukey's Studentized Range Test were used for the statistical analysis by SAS program. Result : The Study was found that 1) The mean of nurses' Organizational Commitment was 3.01. 2) The Organizational Commitment was positive correlation with age, career and position of the whole nurses, but it was different from each hospital. 3) There was significant positive correlations among nurses' age, career, position and organizational commitment of nurses. 4) But the correlations between nurses' organizational commitment and religion, marrital status, nurses' age, career, position were different from each hospital. Conclusion : Therefore before each hospital want to improve it's own nurses' organizational commitment, hospital managers have to find factors which influence to the nurses' organizational commitment directly, indirectly.

  • This study has uncovered some important relationships among employees perceptions of distributive justice and procedural justice and organizational commitment and job satisfaction and organizational effectiveness. The present study attempts, first, to identify the perceived justice in promotion and transfer, performance evaluation, pay raise, job allocation and job fire. Second, to determine the relative importance of DJ(distributive justice) and PJ(procedural justice). Add to that two's justice's impact organizational committment, job satisfaction and to examine relationships of organizational committment, job satisfaction. Third, to examine relationships of organizational committment, job satisfaction and organizational effectiveness. The research is the identification of a modest but significant relationship between the two justice and organizational commitment and job satisfaction and organizational effectiveness. The result make it clear that employee find that right personnel management of fairness.

  • To investigate effect of organization justice on organizational commitment, I surveyed the concept of organization justice, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior and then I reviewed what formative factors of organization justice increased organizational commitment or what formative factors of organization justice and organizational commitment increased organizational citizenship behavior. The result of this study proved that organization justice and organizational commitment influenced organizational citizenship behavior a lot and the purpose of this study was carried out like following ; The formative factors of organization justice, that is, procedure fairness and distribution fairness come out by theoretical study influenced organization commitment and the formative factors of organization commitment, commitment about company and turnover influenced organizational citizenship behavior. In addition, the hypothesis that the higher the organization justice is, the higher the organizational commitment was positive. Therefore, in position control of restaurant employees, giving employees the motive of organization commitment as procedure fairness and distribution fairness control strictly enable employees to have citizenship about organization and enable employers to control employees effectively.

The Impact of Organizational Improvisation on Market Orientation

  • Organizational improvisation, the convergence of planning and execution, has emerged as an alternative approach to the limitations in strategic planning. Organizational improvisation has a significant impact not only on organizational performance, but also on market orientation, which has emerged as a key issue in the field of technology commercialization. This study investigates both the effect of organizational improvisation on market orientation, as well as the effect of environmental turbulence and time pressure on organizational improvisation. Results show that organizational improvisation has a positive influence on market orientation, with a stronger effect on the diffusion of market information. This is greatly impacted by environmental turbulence and time pressure. As a result, promoting competencies in organizational improvisation at the corporate level is suggested as a significant means to enhance market-oriented organizational innovation.

  • Since Organ(1977) published a paper on the importance of organizational citizenship behavior, studies of organizational citizenship behavior have increased continuously. An exploratory study on the application strategy of organizational citizenship behavior for human resource management is very scarce. Many organizational researchers so far, have focused on investigating in-job behavior. Yet, from a decade, organizational researchers have recognized that in-job behavior alone can not explain sufficiently job performance or organizational effectiveness. Thus, they have paid attention to extra-job behavior, which is generally called as organizational citizenship behavior. Focusing on the importance of human resource management in organizational citizenship behavior, this paper is to examine an exploratory study on the application strategy of organizational citizenship behavior.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine, in a service context, construct validity and generalizability of widely used and accepted measures of perceived organizational support, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and service duality, and to test each measures' predictive utility in this context with path analysis. Of 350 subjects, 309 subjects participated in the analysis. Descriptive statistics (frequencies), exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, zero-order partial correlation analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis were used for this study. The findings from this study are as follows. First, perceived organizational support significantly influenced job satisfaction, organizational commitment. and service quality. Second, Job satisfaction had a directional impact upon organizational commitment and service quality. Third, organizational commitment showed to have a predictive impart on service quality. Finally, the results of the study provide some insight into the types of internal marketing strategies that can be applied successfully by operators of hotel F & B departments.
