PLI를 이용한 OLED 드라이버 IC의 기능 검증 방법 (Functional verification method of OLED driver IC using PLI)

  • 본 논문에서는 유기발광다이오드 구동 IC의 기능을 검증하기 위하여 PLI(Programing Language Interface)를 이용한 검증방법을 제안한다. 기능 검증을 하기 위하여 HDL(Hardware Description Language) 시뮬레이터와 PLI, GUI(Graphic User Interface) 환경의 이미지 뷰어를 이용한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 유기발광다이오드 구동 IC의 기능 검증 방법을 이용 할 경우 종래의 기능 검증 방법을 이용 할 때 보다 40배의 실행 시간 이득을 얻을 수 있다. 제안한 방법을 이용할 경우 디스플레이 구동 IC의 설계 단계에서 기능 검증을 효율적으로 할 수 있을 것이다.

Gesture Interaction Design based on User Preference for the Elastic Handheld Device

  • Objective: This study lays its aims at the definition of relevant operation method and function by researching on the value to be brought when applying smart device that can hand carry soft and flexible materials like jelly. Background: New technology and material play a role in bringing type transformation of interface and change of operation system. Recently, importance has been increased on the study of Organic User Interface (OUI) that conducts research on the value of new method of input and output adopting soft and flexible materials for various instruments. Method: For fulfillment of the study, 27 kinds of gestures have been defined that are usable in handheld device based on existing studies. Quantitative research of survey was conducted of adult male and female of 20s through 30s and an analysis was done on the function that can be linked to gestures with highest level of satisfaction. In order to analyze needs and hurdles of users for the defined gesture, a focus group interview was conducted aiming at the groups of early adopters and ordinary users. Results: As a result, it was found that users have much value regarding usability and fun for elastic device and analysis could be conducted on preferred gesture and its linkable functions. Conclusion: What is most significant with this study is that it sheds new light on the values of a device made of elastic material. Beyond finding and defining the gestures and functions that can be applied to a handheld elastic device, the present study identified the value elements of an elastic device - 'usability and 'fun' -, which users can basically desire from using it. Application: The data that this study brought forth through preference and satisfaction test with the gestures and associated functions will help commercialize an elastic device in future.

투과증발 시스템 모사기 개발 (Development of Pervaporation System Simulator)

  • 유기물 탈수 공정에 적용되는 투과증발 시스템을 설계하기 위한 투과증발 시스템 모사기가 개발되었다. 모사기는 시스템 모델링 및 수치 해석 알고리즘과 관련된 simulation engine과 모사기를 Windows 환경에서 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 한 Graphical User Interface(GUI)로 구성되었다. 모사기 구조 및 사용 방법 등을 실규모 에탄올 탈수 공정 모사를 통하여 구체적으로 설명하였으며, 모사 결과를 실제 에탄올 탈수 Pilot test에 의한 실험 결과와 비교함으로써 모사기 성능이 우수함을 입증하였다.

Organic Light-Emitting Diodes 디스플레이 기술의 특허 동향과 기술적 가치에 관한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory research on patent trends and technological value of Organic Light-Emitting Diodes display technology)

  • 본 연구는 Organic Light-Emitting Diodes(OLEDs) 산업의 하위기술 분야를 도출하여 특허 동향을 분석하고 각 하위기술 분야별 기술 가치, 독창성, 다양성을 분석한다. 특허 자료 수집을 위해 OLED 기술과 관련된 국제 특허 분류(International Patent Classification) 집합을 정의하고, 이를 활용해 2005년부터 2017년까지 출원된 OLED 연관 특허를 수집하였다. 이어서 토픽모델을 이용하여 대량의 특허 문서를 12가지 주요 기술로 구분하고 각 기술에 대한 동향을 조사하였다. 그중 터치 센서, 모듈, 이미지 처리, 회로 구동 관련 특허는 증가 추세를 보였으나 가상 현실, 사용자 인터페이스 관련 특허는 최근 감소하였고, 박막 트랜지스터, 지문 인식, 광학필름 관련 특허는 지속적인 추세를 보였다. 이후 각 기술 그룹에 포함된 특허의 전방 인용 수, 독창성, 다양성을 조사하여 기술적 가치를 비교하였다. 결과로부터 전방 인용 수, 독창성, 다양성이 높은 이미지 처리기술, UI/UX, 모듈 기술, 점착 기술 분야가 상대적으로 높은 기술적 가치를 보여주었다. 본 연구를 통해 기업의 기술 전략 수립과정에서 활용 가치가 높은 정보를 제공한다.

  • Interactive space became one of the modern contemporary society design paradigms. For elevating the interactive effect, we need Interactive design development which uses the influential factors on the interactivity. Digital technology is resulted in a change to a society as well as to the life of human and its way of communication. This study is inquiry into the relations and the common characteristics between ecological architecture space and eco-centric environmental philosophy by making a comparative research. This aims to examine type of spatial contexts for performed through literature research for theory by interactive space and case studies for ecological construction elements to design. And the range of case study is limited to interaction space in addition of interactive elements and user interface. And analysis conclusion is show the many type. Five principles that draw at ecological design conceptualization process, whole unity, variety of organic at ecological design conceptualization process, circularity, homeostasis, allness, biological evolution, diversity have involved with concept that presents in ecological esthetics and organic property of ecology-system.

  • We have designed a portable electronic nose(e-nose) system using an array of commercial gas sensors for recognition and analyzing the various odours. In this paper, we have implemented a portable e-nose system using an array gas sensors and personal digital assistants(PDA) for recognizing and analyzing volatile organic compounds(VOCs) in the field. Field screening for pollutants has been a target of instrumental development for number of year. A portable e-nose system can be substantial benefit to rapidly localize the spacial extent of a pollution or to find pollutants source. And, by using PDA, E-nose have a better function such as the easy user-interface and data transfer by internet from on- site to remote computer. We adapted the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm based on the back-propagation and proposed the method that could be predicted concentration levels of VOCs gases after classification by separating neural network into two parts.

  • In Ubiquitous era. architecture is not the old building adapting ubiquitous technology. In order to take the role as new architectural paradigm in space, environment and technology, it has to develop technology continuously and experimental architecture at the same time. it must have co-evolution of architectural field and others through organic network. by that, the evolution of space will be in the way that combines space which is responded to human emotion and user-centric human-friendly. It will be the new paradigm of Ubiquitous digital space. Digital technology resulted in a change to a society as well as to the life of human and its way of thinking. Due to those changes, new terms or concepts come out and a new meaning is added to the conventional concepts. This aims to examine type of spatial contexts for interaction design experience. This study is performed through Literature research for theory by interactive space and case studies for construction elements to design. The range of case study is limited to interaction space in addition of interactive elements and user interface. And analysis conclusion is show the many type, First, Interactive space has special purpose for make a interaction by intelligent elements.(sensor, program, algorithm, New-technology) Second, Interactive space was cooperation with various professional for space purpose. Third. Interactive space is self-develop by algorithm, program, sensor network and that is harmonize with user. finally. Interaction space is show the temper elements about allness, metastatic, activeness, liquidity, relationship. That was written by ecological theory.

  • 사판 훈련이란 모래와 석회로 만든 훈련장 모형을 이용하여 수행하는 실제 군사 작전에 대한 모의 훈련으로서 시간적, 공간적, 경제적인 제약을 극복할 수 있는 효과적인 훈련방식이다. 전통적인 사판 훈련은 모래와 석회로 만들어진 훈련장의 특성상 정확한 지형의 표현 및 보존이 어렵고 사실성이 떨어지며, 사판 내부에 많은 정보를 포함시킬 수 없는 등의 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 증강현실의 관점에서 접근하며, 사실적으로 묘사된 가상의 사판 환경을 바탕으로 하는 효율적인 군사 훈련 브리핑 도구를 제안한다. 가상 전술지도를 통해서 학습자는 마커와 텐저블 인터페이스의 간단한 조작만으로 가상의 군사 훈련을 실감나게 수행할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 사판 내부에 포함된 실시간 상황 정보를 통해 보다 폭넓은 시각에서 전체적인 작전 상황에 대한 유기적인 판단이 가능하게 된다. 텐저블 인터페이스는 현실세계에 있는 사용자와 가상의 물체를 현실세계에 증강 시켜주는 시스템 간의 상호작용을 담당함으로써 사용자에게 직관적이고 다루기 쉬운 콘텐츠 저작 환경을 제공한다. 본 논문은 효과적인 군사 훈련을 위한 새로운 형태의 군사 훈련 브리핑 도구를 제안함으로써 군사 학습에 대한 효과를 증대시키고, 군사 훈련 내용을 추후 활용할 수 있는 콘텐츠로 제작이 가능함을 보였다. 이는 증강현실의 새로운 응용 가능성에 대한 제시라고 말할 수 있다.

Automatic Hand Measurement System from 2D Hand Image for Customized Glove Production

  • Recent advancements in optics technology enable us to realize fast scans of hands using two-dimensional (2D) image scanners. In this paper, we propose an automatic hand measurement system using 2D image scanners for customized glove production. To develop the automatic hand measurement system, firstly hand scanning devices has been constructed. The devices are designed to block external lights and have user interface to guide hand posture during scanning. After hands are scanned, hand contour is extracted using binary image processing, noise elimination and outline tracing. And then, 19 hand landmarks are automatically detected using an automatic hand landmark detection algorithm based on geometric feature analysis. Then, automatic hand measurement program is executed based on the automatically extracted landmarks and measurement algorithms. The automatic hand measurement algorithms have been developed for 18 hand measurements required for custom-made glove pattern making. The program has been coded using the C++ programming language. We have implemented experiments to demonstrate the validity of the system using 11 subjects (8 males, 3 females) by comparing automatic 2D scan measurements with manual measurements. The result shows that the automatic 2D scan measurements are acceptable in the customized glove making industry. Our evaluation results confirm its effectiveness and robustness.
