Monolayers of lipids on a water surface have attracted much interest as models of biological membranes, but also as precursors of multilayer systems promising many technical applications. Until now, many methodologies have been developed in order to gain a better underst. DMPC molecules have one phosphatidylcholine head group and two long alkyl groups with carbonyl group. Displacement currents generated during the compression of monolayers of DMPC on the surface of water were investigated. As results, the displacement pick was generated when the area per molecule was about 190$\AA$$^2$in low pressure, and it was generated when the area per molecule about 190$\AA$$^2$ in for pressure, and it was generated when the area per molecule about 150 $\AA$$^2$ in high pressure. Also. for the study of photo device measured the absorption rate. the maxim value shown was 2800-2900nm.

In this paper, a system to measure tree degradation of three dimensional phenomena in organic insulating materials using image processing system is discussed. Using a computerized tomography method, volume of tree immediately after tree initiation, as well as changes in the configuration of the tree were measured, which up to now have been difficult to measure. The specimens used an acrylic acid resin. As a result, it was possible to record the cross sections of the tree, and to describe the volume of the tree by the three dimensional measurement.

Inorganic polymer based hybrid membranes consisting of zirconium oxide and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) have been synthesized by sol-gel processes. The hybrid membranes showed thermal stability and flexibility up to $300^{\circ}C$. The membrane becomes proton conducting polymer electrolyte when added with 12-phosphotungstic acid (PWA). The conductivity of the membranes was measured in the temperature range from room temperature to $150^{\circ}C$ under saturated humidity and a maximum conductivity of $5{\times}10^{-5}\;Sm^{-1}$ was obtained at $150^{\circ}C$.
Dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC); an alternate energy source harvester has gained some attractive features such as high-energy conversion efficiency low production cost. Dye-sensitizer is a basic component of DSSC, which affecting the performance of the energy conversion efficiency. Current research has been focusing on development of high efficiency, metal-free dye-sensitizers, which would be more environmental friendly. We had successfully explored synthetic route to 6,6'-(1,2,5-oxadiazole-3,4-diyl)dipyridine-2,4-dicarboxylic acid (3A) which has been used as organic sensitizer. Investigation of light conversion efficiency (${\eta}$) of the compound uses standard measurement condition (one sun simulated irradiation, AM 1.5, 100 mW/$cm^2$) showed that it could reach 1.00% ($J_{SC}=2.63\;mAcm^{-2}$, $V_{OC}$=0.64 V and FF=0.59). Under the same conditions, the ruthenium complex (N719) gave the conversion efficiency as high as 4.02%($J_{SC}=10.50\;mAcm^{-2}$, $V_{OC}$=0.67V and FF=0.57).
Fermentation characteristics of yakju prepared with addition of Opuntia ficus indica were examined, with respect to the nature and concentration of additional added materials. The pH level began to decrease after the secondary brewing stage and the total acid content increased during fermentation. The level of reducing sugars in yakju prepared with Opuntia ficus indica increased at the first brewing stage and then slowly decreased after 4 days of fermentation. The ethanol content of supplemented yakju rapidly increased during the initial 6 days of fermentation, to a maximum content of 17.1% after 14 days. The free sugar content was higher in yakju fermented with Opuntia ficus indica stem compared with fruit. The level of organic acids increased as the amount of Opuntia ficus indica material increased. Organic acid level increased during fermentation and lactic acid was the main organic acid in yakju fermented with Opuntia ficus indica. Sixteen volatile compounds were found by GC-MS in supplemented yakju. The most prominent volatile component was iso-amyl alcohol, followed by butyl alcohol and methyl esters. The DPPH radical-scavenging activity of yakju fermented with Opuntia ficus indica stem was higher than when yakju was prepared with fruit. Sensory scores of yakju fermented with 20% (w/v) fruit and 10% (w/v) stem were greater than those of yakju prepared by other treatments.
Four different silages were prepared out of citrus peel with or without supplementation with wheat bran and/or urea. Proximate nutrients and volatile fatty acids were analysed on the silages, both fresh and dried. All silages were dried and ground, and were compared with dried citrus peel (not ensiled) and wheat bran in a folding trial. A total of 360 male chicks of Maniker broiler strain was divided into and assigned to 6 treatments with 5 replications. Each experimental diet included each of 6 test material at the level of 6% and the feeding trial lasted 8 weeks, after which a metabolism trial was conducted. Results obtained were summarized as follows. 1. Ensiling increased protein content of the citrus peel on the dry matter basis and supplementing the silage material with wheat bran and/or urea further increased protein contents of the silages. 2. Adding wheat bran and/or urea to silage material also increased volatile fatty acid contents of the silages. After drying organic acid contents of the silages were reduced and there were no differences in organic acid contents of the dried citrus peel silages, differently treated, 3, Broilers fed dried citrus peel and those fed dried citrus peel silages gained numerically less weight than those fed wheat bran. But there were no significant differences in body weight gain, feed intake and feed efficiency among different treatments 4. There were no significant differences in nutrient utilizability, nitrogen retention and metabnlizable energy contents among treatments. It could be concluded that ensiling is an effective way of storing citrus peel and dried citrus peel silage could be used in broiler diets up to 6% without adverse effects.
In the current study, MIL-101(Cr)-SO3H[HCl] as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) was fabricated via a hydrothermal method. The physicochemical properties of the synthesized material were characterized using XRD, FT-IR, FE-SEM, TEM, and BET surface area analysis. The XRD diffraction pattern of the prepared MIL-101(Cr)-SO3H[HCl] was similar to previously reported patterns of MIL-101(Cr) type materials, indicating successful synthesis of MIL-101(Cr)-SO3H[HCl]. The FT-IR spectrum revealed the molecular structure and functional groups of the synthesized MIL-101(Cr)-SO3H[HCl]. FE-SEM and TEM images indicated the formation of rectangular parallelopiped structures in the prepared MIL-101(Cr)-SO3H[HCl]. Furthermore, the EDS spectrum showed that the synthesized material consisted of the elements of Cr, O, S, and C. The fabricated MIL-101(Cr)-SO3H[HCl] was then employed as an adsorbent for the removal of Sr2+ and Cs+ from aqueous solutions. The adsorption kinetics and adsorption isotherm models were studied in detail. The maximum adsorption capacities of MIL-101(Cr)-SO3H[HCl] for Sr2+ and Cs+ according to pH (3, 5.3~5.8, 10) were 35.05, 43.35, and 79.72 mg/g and 78.58, 74.58, and 169.74 mg/g, respectively. These results demonstrate the potential of the synthesized MOFs, which can be effectively applied as an adsorbent for the removal of Sr2+ and Cs+ ions from aqueous solutions and other diverse applications.
Pottery filled with organic materials was excavated from the G-2 building site of Yongjangseong Fortress, Jingo, a relic of the Goryeo Dynasty. In this study, the characteristics of organic material were confirmed by a scientific analysis of organic material in pottery found at the palace in Yongjangseong, Jindo. In addition, it was intended to review the analysis method to identify the natural resin and to secure characteristic components(biomarkers) for each natural resin and use them as basic data in the future. The organic materials in the pottery were analyzed using attenuated total reflectance Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR) and gas chromatography mass spectrometry(GC-MS). The infrared spectral characteristics were estimated to be natural resin, and biomarkers of organic materials were identified as sesquiterpene-based compounds(C15H24, MW 204) and derivatives. The lacquer(T.vemicifluum) is composed mainly of alkenes, alkanes, and catechol. Pine resin(P.densiflora), on the other hand, is primarily composed of diterpenoid(abietic acid, pimaric acid) and Whangchil(yellow lacquer) is identified to have sesquiterpenes(such as selinene, muurolene, calamenene) as its main components. So, the organic material in the pottery can be identified as Whangchil by comparing their compounds with modern resin materials from Dendropanax. morbifera that correspond with the results. Whangchil, which is exuded from the Dendropanax. morbifera, has been used as a natural coating materials since ancient times, and it has been confirmed that the characteristic components are well preserved even 700 years later. It can be assumed that the interior Whangchil was stored not for use as a coating, but rather for ritual purposes when the building was constructed, because the pottery was found near the cornerstone. Furthermore, based on simplified sample preparation using pyrolysis-gas chromatography mass spectrometry(Py-GC-MS), the thermal decomposition products were found to be similar to the characteristic components, suggesting that this method can be applied to the identification of natural resins used in historic artifacts.

The purpose of this study was to improve release rate and bioavailability of nateglinide formulation. Polymorphism selection and particle size control were performed to enhance formulation dissolution rate, and a pH modifier was included in the formulation to overcome pH-dependent solubility of nateglinide. The enhanced dissolution rate was characterized by using a dissolution test. The results showed that H-type raw material had a higher dissolution rate than that of B-type raw material. There was 6.2% difference in dissolution between the two materials at 60 min. With regard to particle size, raw material with a $1.13{\mu}m$ particle size showed a 20% faster release rate than that of raw material with a $2.28{\mu}m$ particle size. Furthermore, fumaric acid was included in formulation as a pH modifier. That addition produced a greater than 50% improvement in dissolution rate. In conclusion, dissolution rate of nateglinide can be enhanced by optimizing its polymorphism and particle size; moreover, a synergistic effect on the enhancement of dissolution rate is obtained by including fumaric acid, a pH modifier, in the formulation.
