  • 유기 발광소자(OLED)Glass/indium-tin-oxide(ITO)/Cu-Pc(copper-phthalocyanine)N,N'-Bis(3-methylphenyl)-1,1'-biphenylbenzidineltris-(8-hydroquinoline) aluminum(Alq3)/aluminum(Al)의 기본구조로 제작된 OLED에 다양한 전압을 인가하면서, 마이크로파 근접장 현미경을 이용하여 시간에 따른 소자의 전류-전압특성을 측정함으로써 전기적 전도 특성을 연구하였다. 또한 다양한 인가전압의 시간에 따른 EL(electro luminance)을 측정하여 소자의 광학적 특성과 전기적 특성을 연구 비교하였다.

  • 유기발광소자(OLED)Glass/indium-tin-oxide(ITO)/Cu-Pc(copper-phthalocyanine)/N.N'-Bis(3-methylphenyl)-1,1'-biphenylbenzidine/tris-(8-hydroquinoline) aluminum(Alq3)/aluminum(Al)의 기본구조로 제작된 OLED에 다양한 전압을 인가하면서, 마이크로파 근접장 현미경을 이용하여 전압인가에 따른 반사계수(S11)와 소자의 전류-전압특성을 측정함으로써 전기적 전도 특성을 연구하였다. 또한 다양한 인가전압에 따른 EL(electro luminance)를 측정하여 소자의 광학적 특성과 전기적 특성을 연구 비교하였다.

  • The green emitting phosphor, $ZnGa_2O_4:Mn$ thin film with spinel structure were deposited by rf magnetron sputtering. Thin film phosphors were heat-treated in nitrogen, vacuum and air atmosphere, respectively. The effects of the substrates, heat-treatment conditions and the sputtering parameters were investigated. The growing behavior and luminescent properties of thin films depend on the crystallinity of the substrates. The Ga/Zn atomic ratios and luminescent characteristics were dependent on the annealing conditions.

  • 1987년에 Tang과 VanSlyke가 유기발광물질중의 하나인 8-hydroxyquinoline aluminum(Alq$_3$)을 사용하여 유기발광소자의 특성[1]을 발표하였으며, 1990년에 영국의 Cambridge대학 Cavendish 연구소는 Poly(p-phenylene vinylene)[2]를 이용한 고분자 발광소자의 특성을 보고하였다. 저분자와 고분자를 이용한 이 두 편의 논문은 낮은 인가전압, 높은 형광효율, 반도체의 성격을 보고하고 있다. 이와 같은 특성들은 실질적인 전기 발광소자에 대한 적용 가능성 및 대형 디스플레이에 대한 개발 잠재력[3]을 시사하고 있다. 특히 본 연구에 사용된 Fabry-Perot 공진기 형태의 광학적 미세공동구조는[4,5] 발광파장을 조절할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 에너지 재분포로 인해 발광세기를 향상시킬 수 있다는 점에서 다른 EL소자들이 가지는 일반적인 구조와 대조되는 장점을 가지고 있다. Synthesis and Characteristics of New Poly(p-phenylenevinylene) with Bulky t-Octylphenoxy Group

  • A new 2,5-di(t-octylphenoxy) group substituted poly(p-phenylenevinylene) derivative was synthesized by Gilch polymerization. The obtained polymer was characterized by NMR, FT-IR, and chemical analysis and completely soluble in common organic solvents. The polymer showed good thermal stability with T$_{g}$ of 105$^{\circ}C$. The polymer dissolved in chloroform showed maximum emission at 514 nm with a shoulder peak at around 560 nm. The EL spectrum of the ITO/PEDOT/TOP-PPV/Al device was observed maximum emission at 545 nm with a shoulder peak at around 585 nm.m.

  • A bright and highly monochromatic red organic electroluminescent device based on a poly(N-vinylcarbazole) host was made. The device structure consists of poly(N-vinylcarbazole) dispersed with a europium complex as an emitting layer and a hole blocking layer of 2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (BCP). The EL cell exhibited just characteristic emission of europium ion.

  • Organic electroluminescent(EL) devices have received a great deal of attention due to their potential application as full-color displays. They are attractive because of their capability of multicolor emission, ease of fabrication, and operation at a low driving voltage. In this study, single and multiple quantum-well structures consisting of Eu(TTA)$_3$(bpy) complex well layer sandwiched between triphenyldiamine derivative (TPD) layers were fabricated and their photoluminescent electroluminescent characteristics were also investigated. Sharp emission at 616 nm has been observed from the Eu complex in multilayer, single and multiple quantum-well structures. Details on the explanation of electrical properties of these structures will be discussed.

  • Three types of conjugated polymers, poly(PZ-Pi), poly(PZ-BPI) and poly(PZ-NPI) were synthesized by Schiff-base reaction. These new conjugated polymers exhibited improved solubility in common organic solvents due to the presence of alkyl side chains as well as azomethine groups, Double layer LEDs made with the synthesized polymers as emitting layer and $Alq_3$, as electron transporting layer exhibited enhanced EL emission and efficiency compared to those of single layer LEDs. Double layer LEDs exhibited gradual shift in the emission peak th the single layer LED, made of only $Alq_3$ as the emitting layer as the thickness of $Alq_3$ layer increased.

  • In this manuscript, $35m^3/d$ NF unit was designed and applied for surface water treatment of the River Nile water. Intake of Embaba drinking water treatment plant was selected to install that unit at since; it has the lowest water quality index value through the examined 6 sites in greater Cairo area. The optimized operating conditions were feed and permeate flow, 40 and $7m^3/d$, feed pressure 2.68 bar and flux rate $37.7l/m^2h$. The permeate water was drinkable according to Egyptian Ministerial decree 458/2007 for the tested parameters (physic-chemical, heavy metals, organic, algal, bacteriological and parasitological). Single and double sand filters were used as pretreatment for NF membranes but continuous clogging for sand filters moved us to use UF membrane as pretreatment for NF membrane.

  • In this paper A double-layer organic electroluminescent(EL) device was fabricated using a TPD(N,N'-dipheny] -N,N'-bis(3-methylphenyl)-[1,1'-biphenyl]-4.4'-diamine: aromatic diamine), as a hole-transport material and tris (8-hydroxy quinolinate) aluminum(Alq$_3$) as a an emiting material and its performance characteristics were investigated. structure of devices is ITO/TPD/Alq$_3$/Al. we have fabricated hole transport layer of two types. Doping material of Hole Transport material is Poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA) and PEI(Poly-Ether-Imide). Carrier injection from the electrodes to the doped PMMA and PEI layer through the dopants and concomitant electroluminescence from Alq$_3$were observed. Green emission with luminance of 40cd/m$^2$was achieved at a drive voltage of 30V
