The wet-end dynamics of a paper mill was analyzed to characterize its dynamic behavior during the grade change of paper. The model representing the wet-end section is developed based on the mass balance relationships written for the simplified wet-end white water network. From the linearization of dynamic model, higher-order Laplace transfer functions were obtained followed by the reduction procedure to give simple lower-order models in the form of 1$^{st}$-order or 2$^{nd}$ -order plus dead times. The dynamic response of the wet-end is influenced both by the white water volume and by the level of wire retention. Effects of key manipulated variables such as the thick stock flow rate, the ash flow rate and the retention aid flow rate on the major controlled variables were analyzed by numerical simulations. The simple dynamic model developed in the present study can be effectively used in the operation and control of paper mills.s.

In this work, first, a multiuser detection (MUD) algorithm based on component-level soft interference cancellation and linear minimum mean square error (CLSIC-LMMSE) is proposed, which can enhance the bit error ratio (BER) performance of the traditional SIC-LMMSE-based MUD by mitigating error propagation. Second, for non-binary low density parity check (NB-LDPC) coded high-order modulation systems, when the proposed algorithm is integrated with partial mapping, the receiver with iterative detection and decoding (IDD) achieves not only better BER performance but also significantly computational complexity reduction over the traditional SIC-LMMSE-based IDD scheme. Extrinsic information transfer chart (EXIT) analysis and numerical simulations are both used to support the conclusions.

As an industry that serves as a greater catalyst for social and cultural exchange than any other industry, the tourism industry has a strong responsibility toward sustainable management in economic, social, and environmental respects. However, there is a low level of awareness for ESG(environmental, social, governance), and as of now, only companies whose parent company is a large corporation are interested in ESG. Moreover, tourism companies taking part in ESG only focus on the environmental field of ESG. Thus, the present study attempted to understand the current status of ESG research in the tourism field and, based on this understanding, offer a field of research urgently in need. Based on the research results, the study found that awareness studies on the type of ESG management that stakeholder groups take into consideration must take place in advance in order to understand and develop ESG for the tourism industry. Additionally, ESG evaluation variables that reflect the characteristics of the tourism industry must be developed. Lastly, strategies and techniques that objectively disclose ESG management activities are necessary based on a disclosure strategy presented by GRI(Global Reporting Initiative).

This research propose with image-based visual a new approach to design a feedback control of mobile robot. because mobile robot must be recharged periodically, it is necessary to detect and move to docking station. Generally, laser scanner is used for detect of position of docking station. CCD Camera is also used for this purpose. In case of using camera, the position-based visual servoing method is widely used. But position-based visual servoing method requires the accurate calibration and it is hard and complex work. Another method using cameras is inmage-based visual feedback. Recently, image based visual feedback is widely used for robotic application. But it has a problem that cannot have linear trajectory in the 3-dimensional space. Because of this weak point, image-based visual servoing has a limit for real application. in case of 2-dimensional movement on the plane, it has also similar problem. In order to solve this problem, we point out the main reason of the problem of the resolved rate control method that has been generally used in the image-based visual servoing and we propose an image-based visual feedback method that can reduce the curved trajectory of mobile robot in th cartesian space.

본 연구에서는 다품종 수주생산형 장치산업에서 대 Lot의 분할생산, Lot간 setup을 포함하는 Loss time의 감축, 납기현실화, 선별적 수주정책 등 다양한 수주 및 생산정책을 평가하는 확정적 시뮬레이션 모형을 개발하였다. 평가기준으로는 수주일부터 생산일까지의 대기일과 납기준수율을 사용하였다. 사례연구로 A화학공장의 1999년도 수주데이타를 입력자료로 사용하여 모형의 타당성을 보이고 납기단축 및 납기준수율 제고를 위한 효과적인 대안을 도출하였다.

This paper presents an efficient reengineering technique for the logistics process innovation which is the foundation of supply-chain management. Based on consulting experience on the domestic manufacturing firms, this paper provides promotion step for logistics innovation and six reengineering points including check system for customer's credit limit, check system of real-time inventory information, automatic system for sequential production plan, automatic order-release system, automatic packing system, and happy-call system for order-forward information. For each reengineering point, application cases in domestic industry are also presented.

An Order Management System related to press die fabrication in automobile industry are developed in this research. This system is constructed by CORBA and XML to avoid disorder from data integration. Because CORBA can integrate diverse applications within distributed heterogeneous environments and XML can be made use of data exchange format, The developed system is available on almost any hardware platforms, operation system environments, and programming languages.

The influence of wave forces on the moored ship beside quay was investigated based on in-house ship mooring analysis and ship motion program in this paper. The wind and current are the general environmental factors for the mooring analysis beside quay in the mild weather. However, the weather is becoming rough, the wave phenomenon should be included in the mooring analysis. In this paper, as preliminary stages, each moored rope tension was evaluated based on wind and current environmental condition. The results were compared with those from MOSES, commercial program. In addition to this, wave forces of the ship were calculated in order to solve moored ship motion of equation. We will leave to solve this motion equation as future work.

As the economic volume and trade in North-East Asia have dramatically increased, the competition for dominance over the value of logistics among many developed countries has taken a new turn. The Korean government has been planning a strategy for a north-east asian logistics hub in order to increase the global competitiveness of manufacturing companies by promoting a logistics industry. However, the competitiveness of Korean logistics industry is still quite premature compared to global competitors. Taking these accounts into considerations, this study advocates that the structure of Korean logistics companies should be changed from the function of furnishing simple logistics to extending integrated logistics services. It should also shift its focus from executing domestic logistics to meeting international logistics demands and from an execution-focused service to a knowledge-intensive service. The purpose of this study is to explore effective methods for stimulating an integrated logistics industry. Some detailed guidelines and economic interpretations, based upon the results of this research, have been suggested for supporting the related legislation.
