Shipbuilding is a typical 'build to order' industry. It has a business model that generates revenues from building various ships and offshore products in accordance with owner's requirements at each production stage. Under uncertainty in shipping market, it is very essential for the shipbuilder to prepare the fast and competitive decision for product portfolio strategy in order to maximize contribution margin by exploiting production facilities and constraints. In this study, we introduce the unique decision supporting methodology for the optimal product portfolio sets based on Theory of Constraints(TOC). This methodology is established by adopting the concept of Drum Buffer Rope(DBR) in constraints planning and Throughput Accounting (TA) in management accounting of TOC. In addition, Decision Supporting System(DSS) is implemented. This DSS system provides a throughput estimator with reflecting the cost structure of shipbuilding industry and a resource simulator built on heuristic algorithms to operate major constraint-resources in shipyard such as dock, quay and pre-erection area etc. Several examples are presented to show that the proposed methodology and system can effectively support the strategic decision-making process of a global shipbuilding company.

Purpose: This study analyzed the general status and conditions of the kimchi industry in Korea. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the information of a desirable kimchi market by analyzing the distribution, price, market, and consumers of kimchi based on the current status and status of the kimchi industry in Korea. Research design, data and methodology: This study basically conducted research design and analysis based on theoretical consideration and kimchi market data. Results: The conclusion of the study is that in order to globalize kimchi, it is expected that a strategy to target overseas markets with relatively low competition through a low-salt diet and premium strategy along with the image of Western health is expected. Conclusions: In Korea, small and medium-sized companies can target the B2B (Business-to-Business) market first and then target department stores or convenience stores at a stable time in the future to expand sales channels and profitability through premium or low-cost policies. Another strategy is to target overseas markets as soon as the company stabilizes through B2B. Therefore, in the kimchi industry, it is necessary to establish a sales/marketing strategy according to what position and position of one's own company in the kimchi industry.
The most of navigation services these days, are designed in order to just provide a shortest path from current position to destination for a user. Several navigation services provides not only the path but some fragmentary information about its point, but, the data tends to be highly restricted because it's quality and quantity totally depends on service provider's providing policy. In this paper, we describe the folksonomy POI(Point of interest) recommender system using mashup in order to provide the information that is more useful to the user. The POI recommender system mashes-up the user's folksonomy data that stacked by user with using external folksonomy service(like Flickr) with others' in order to provide more useful information for the user. POI recommender system recommends others' tag data that is evaluated with the user folksonomy similarity. Using folksonomy mahup makes the services can provide more information that is applied the users' karma. By this, we show how to deal with the data's restrictions of quality and quantity.

It is about time for Korean plant engineering industry to evaluate what they have achieved in the past and to foresee how this industry will change in the future. Since the IMF infection in the late 1997, Korean engineering industry has become to realize how important it is to formulate plans and solutions in order to be successful in the EPC industry. Korean plant engineering has accomplished remarkable growth in terms of its sales volumes and sizes of petrochemical & refinery plants they have executed, but unfortunately they have not done a nice job of generating sufficient profits. Many Korean engineering companies have carried out million and billion dollars of "projects" where they unfortunately suffered deficits, and as a result, some companies actually went deteriorated and were merged, and acquired by bigger companies. Based on above philosophy, the ten(10) key factors are suggested regarding a proposal for role and mission of chemical engineering professional engineer in plant engineering industry in the 21\\\" century.
This article prospects the patterns of technological innovation in the steel industry and suggests the directions of technological innovation in Korean steel industry. As the competition for securing cross-border biological sovereignty becomes intensified due to the adoption of the Nagoya Protocol, this study analyzed patent trends only for freshwater plants in order to secure national biological sovereignty. As a result, freshwater plants include a total of 68 genera and 128 species, and a total of 60 genera and 3,256 patents were surveyed. Among them, iris was the most industrialized, 14.71% followed by angelica(8.48%) and Mentha(6.94%). However, unconfirmed eight genera (Aneilema, Artemisia Cabomba, Nymphoides, Pistia stratiotes L., Pseudoraphis Griff., Ruppia) are not patented freshwater plants and it is expected that patent entry is high and barrier is low in the future. Based on patent results, Cooperative Patent Classification analysis was carried out and as a result, a total of 15 industry sectors were derived. And biopharmaceutical(30.24%) was found to be the most industrialized industry sector followed by agricultural chemistry (28.89%), biochemical industry (16.25%). In the biomedical industry, angelica(17.74%) was the most used and Iris (9.55%), Sium(20.56%) and angelica (20.48%) were found to be the most used in agricultural chemistry, biochemical industry and bio food industry, respectively. The analysis of detailed industry fields for 15 industry sectors showed that medicines of unknown structure containing substances from plants (37.77%), raw materials (46.57%) such as insect repellants, attracting agents and preparation of peptides(16.82%) with more than 21 amino acids were most frequently used in biopharmaceutical, agricultural chemistry and biochemical industry, respectively. This study is of significance as a basic data to know which freshwater plants are used in which field in order to secure biological sovereignty and patent analysis is considered necessary to continuously secure the biological sovereignty for freshwater plants.
