The purpose of this study is to examine the differences of use behavior and environmental perception of a park and to analyze the influence of environmental perception factors on park satisfaction among 7 parks in Suseong-gu, Daegu. The data from the 255 questionnaires of young adults (30-59) and old adults (more than 60) who use the park more than once a week were used for the analysis. In terms of park use behavior, young adults used the park for walking and jogging mainly on weekday evenings, while old adults used the park for walking and rest mainly during weekday daytimes. In addition, old adults used the park more times a week than young adults, and spent more time in the park. In the analysis of the environmental perception of the park, similar results were found in both age groups but overall, old adults were more satisfied with the park environment than the young adults. As a result of analyzing the influence of environmental perception factors, it was determined that park satisfaction in young adults has a significant influence on 'use amenity', 'use convenience', 'facility suitability', and 'landscape diversity' in this order. On the other hand, park satisfaction for old adults has an influence on 'use amenity', 'facility suitability', and 'use convenience' in this order. The findings of this study can be used as an effective basic data for future park planning considering age groups.

Although the entrance of house has been identified as a hotspot for older adults' fall accidents, there was not any lift chair to prevent older adults' accidents. In this study, a lift chair was developed to reduce fall accidents that can occur when older adults put on or take off their shoes in the entrance. In order to develop the product, we considered two aspects. Firstly, we considered older adults' anthropometric data to determine the design specification of the product. Also we considered the environmental characteristics of space using the product. In order to overcome the limited spatial freedom and use the entrance space effectively, we took a simplified and folding type for the product.

The obtained results were as follows 1. Cervical abrasion experience rate was 26.1% 2. Cervical abrasion experience rate in male adults was higher than that in female adults. 3. Cervical abrasion experience rate was gradually increased by aging. 4. In Korean adults, the further detail investigations into the cervical abrasion were required.
Background and Purpose: Stroke in young adults is relatively uncommon. Only 3.7-14.4% of all strokes occur in patients aged 15-45 years. Stroke in young adults has more various and diverse possible causes than stroke in the elderly. We studied to gain further insight into both pathogenic and etiologic determinants in young adults with stroke. Methods : We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 230 young patients aged 15-45 years who were admitted to the 2nd internal medicine department of Kyung Hee Oriental Medical Center with a diagnosis of stroke between May 1995 and May 1999. We analysed clinical features and diagnostic tests, such as brain imaging, cerebral angiography, echocardiography, 24 hours holter monitoring and other laboratory tests. Results : 1. Of 230 young patients with stroke aged 15-45 years(176 males(76.5%) and 54 females(23.5%)), 140 patients(60.9%) showed ischemic stroke and 90 patients(39.1 %) showed hemorragic stroke. 2. The most prevalent age group was from 40 to 45 years with 142 patients(61.7%) 3. The most frequent site of 140 ischemic stroke was MCA territory in 93 cases(66.4%) and Multiple, VA territory, PCA territory, ACA territory in order of frequency. 4. The most frequent site of 90 hemorrhagic stroke was basal galglia hemorrhage 57 cases(63.3%) and subcortical 13 cases(14.5%), pons, thalmus, subarachnoid, cerebellum in order of frequency. 5. The causes of hemorrhagic stroke were hypertension 49 cases(54.5%), arteriovenous malformation 7 cases(7.8%), ruptured aneurysm 4 cases(4.5%), angioma 3 cases(3.3%). 6. The risk factors of ischemic stroke were smoking, alcohol drinking, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, obesity, heart disease, history of CVA, diabetes mellitus, in order of frequency. 7. The comparison of risk factors between ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke: hypertension was prevalent in hemorrhagic stroke, heart disease and history of CVA were prevalent in ischemic stroke. Conclusions: From the above results, we found that stroke in young adults had various possible causes. Young adults with stroke deserve an extensive but tailored evaluation which include angiography and echocardiography for diagnosis.

Dry mouth is common among older adults and significantly affects the oral health-related quality of life. It is a significant risk factor for dental caries, particularly root caries, in older adults due to concurrent periodontal disease and age-related comorbidities. This clinical review aims to update our knowledge on the use of fluoride for caries prevention in order to establish better strategies for the management of dry mouth in older adults.
The purpose of this study was to examine how the family of origin and self-disclosure of unmarried persons in early adulthood affected their own intimacy with the opposite sex, which was one of the major developmental tasks for them. The findings of the study are as follows: First, the self-differentiation, self-disclosure, and intimacy with the opposite sex of the single male and female adults investigated were generally at a moderate level. Second, for self-differentiation, the background variables of the male and female adults made no statistically significant difference. For self-disclosure, the background variables of the female adults made no statistically significant difference to that, but the male adults differed significantly from one another in that regard according to their family makeup and birth of order. As for connections between the background variables of the single male and female adults and their intimacy with the opposite sex, the male adults varied in that aspect with their birth order, and whether they were dating and considered getting married made a difference to that as well. Methods: We used source data from the 2017 Community Health Survey. The subjects of this study included some older adults aged 65 and over, and analyzed the data of 23,043 older adults living in the urban and 34,063 older adults living in the non-urban area. Results: The common factors influencing physical activity in older adults by region include current smoking and drinking, BMI, sleep duration, and subjective health status, help with neighbors, frequency of meeting with neighbors and friends, participation in social and leisure activities, and falls experience (p<.001). However, the living environment, public transport satisfaction, and medical service use significantly associated with physical activity for only older adults living in the urban area (p<.001). Conclusion: In order to improve physical activity in older adults in the community, it is necessary to consider not only the improvement of individual factors that practice health behaviors but also health promotion strategies that take into account social and environmental factors because there are environmental differences among regions.
