  • The main purpose of this study is to find out the best solution of the vehicle routing problem with hard time window by using both genetic algorithm and heuristic. A mathematical programming model was also suggested in the study. The suggested mathematical programming model gives an optimal solution by using ILOG-CPLEX. This study also suggests a hybrid genetic algorithm which considers the improvement of generation for an initial solution by savings heuristic and two heuristic processes. Two heuristic processes consists of 2-opt and Or-opt. Hybrid genetic algorithm is also compared with existing problems suggested by Solomon. We found better solutions rather than the existing genetic algorithm.

  • Purpose: Online and social media and mobile shopping are increasing and companies are required to provide personal information in order to supplement the non-invasive characteristics of the channels. With the increased provision of personal information, consumers' personal and social concerns about the prevention of personal information infringement are also increasing, and in response, personal or opt-in marketing has emerged to compensate for reckless information abuse. Despite the background of this emergence, the existing prior studies are limited to ignoring the negative feelings of consumers in the real world, including only the net function and positive effect of the opt-in mail. Research design, data and methodology: The research framework was intended to utilize the impact of human marketing activities on consumer attitudes combined with positive and negative factors. Factors that positively affect attitudes toward permation marketing were presented, such as informality, and perceived risks were presented as negative impact factors. Also, based on previous prior research, the prior factors of opt-in marketing were to present the effect on purchase intent through the medium of attitude toward opt-in marketing. Results: In this study, we used the framework of a two factor theory to address positive and negative factors as a leading factor in the customer attitude toward opt-in mail advertising, and as a result, functionality and personalization have a positive effect on customer attitude and perceived risk have a negative impact on customer attitude. In addition, it was confirmed that the customer attitude formed this way affects the intention to purchase again. Conclusions: This study suggests that we have demonstrated that marketing, an opt-in marketing that has been recognized as part of marketing that is deployed after obtaining customer consent, has been applied without any other marketing methodology. E-mail advertising at this point also provides practical implications that the system safeguards are in place under an opt-in protocol or system, and that even if an e-mail advertisement is carried out, customers will need to look at the level of awareness about the risks, and suggests that they need to consider the customer's journey that could lead to purchase at the content level.

  • The asymmetric traveling salesman problem is a representative NP-Complete problem. Polynomial algorithm for this problem has not been yet found. So, many heuristic methods have been researched in this problem. We need heuristic methods that produce good answers for some larger problems in reasonable times. 3-opt is well known for the effective local-search heuristic method. It has been used in many applications of the asymmetric traveling salesman problem. This paper discusses 3-opt's properties and ineffective aspects and presents a highly effective heuristic method. 3-opt does not consider good arcs(shorter distance or little cost). This paper presents a fast heuritic algorithm compared with 3-opt by inserting good arcs and deleting related arcs later.

  • Cellulose nanofibrils (CNF) was made from oil palm trunk (OPT) with soda-anthraquinone pulping, chlorine dioxide bleaching, carboxymethylation, followed by mechanical grinding. Size of this CNF was 16-40 nm of width confirmed by TEM. To evaluate CNF from OPT as cosmetics raw materials for moisturizing component, water holding properties was compared with hyaluronic acid and collagen. CNF from OPT had better water holding property than collagen or hyaluronic acid whether phenoxyethanol was added as antiseptic or without additive.

  • This study was performed to investigate the changes of head posture according to natural standing or sitting posture. Twenty seven healthy dental students without any signs and symptoms of temporomandibular disorders participated in this study. Cervical resting posture (CRP) of the head in sagittal plane was measured by Cervical-Range-of-Motion $^\textregistered$(CROM, U.S.A.) and lateral cephalograph was taken in natural posture. The items related to angle in cephalograph were the angles of cranial and cervical inclination to true vertical line(VER/NSL, VER/AML), the angles of cervical inclination to nasion-sella line(CVT/NSL, OPT/NSL), the angles of comical inclination to horizontal line(CVT/HOR, OPT/HOR), the angle of cervical lordosis(CVT/OPT). The items related to line measurement were the distance from subocciput to Cl(Dl), Cl to C2(D2), C2 to C3(D3), C3 to C4(D4), the upper(PNS to posterior pharyngeal wall) and the lower(tongue base to posterior pharyngeal wall) pharyngeal space, the distance from nation to mention(Na-Me), and the radius of comical curvature from the first comical vertebra(Cl ) to the fifth cervical vertebra(C5). The data were analyzed with SAS/STAT program. The obtained results were as follows : 1. Most items related to angular measurement showed significant difference between in standing and sitting posture. The angles of CRP, CVT/NSL, OPT/NSL, CVT/HOR, OPT/HOR, and CVT/OPT were high in sitting posture, but the angles of VER/NSL, VER/NSL were low in sitting posture. 2. In vertebral distance, only the distance between C3 and C4 was differed by the posture, which decreased in sitting posture. In sitting posture, the distance from nasion to menton(Na-Me) was longer, but the radius was shorter than in standing posture. 3. Correlationship in angular measurements was almost same in both postures. Ceervical resting posture(CRP) was correlated with VER/NSL, VER\ulcornerNSL was correlated with CRP, CVT/NSL, and OPT/NSL, VER/AML was correlated with CVT/HOR, OPT/HOR, CVT/OPT, and the angle of cervical lordosis(CVT/OPT) was correlated with the radius. 4. Correlationship in linear measurement was observed only in among D3, D4, and radius. And the Na-Me was not correlated with any other items. From this results, The author concluded that the head posture in sitting was mote backward extended than in standing.

  • Rice (Oryza sativa) cultivars show an impairment of growth and development in response to abiotic stresses such as drought, salinity, heat and cold at the early seedling stage. The tolerance to heat stress in plants has been genetically modulated by the overexpression of heat shock transcription factor genes or proteins. In addition to a high temperature-tolerance that has also been altered by elevating levels of osmolytes, increasing levels of cell detoxification enzymes and through altering membrane fluidity. To examine the heat tolerance in transgenic rice plants, three OsOPT10 overexpressing lines were characterized through a physiological analysis, which examined factors such as the electrolyte leakage (EL), soluble sugar and proline contents. We further functionally characterized the OsOPT10 gene and found that heat induced the expression of OsOPT10 and P5CS gene related proline biosynthesis. It has been suggested that the expression of OsOPT10 led to elevated heat tolerance in transgenic lines.

  • Densification of the inner part of oil palm trunk (OPT) by the close system compression (CSC) method was performed in this study. The effects of the compression temperature and time on the anatomical, physical and mechanical properties of OPT were evaluated. The inner part of OPT with an initial average density of $0.3g/cm^3$ was used as samples. Oven-dried samples were immersed in water and vacuumed until fully saturated and then compressed by CSC at 120, 140, 160 or $180^{\circ}C$ for 10, 20, 30 or 40 min. The anatomical characteristics of transverse and radial sections before and after compression were compared by optical microscopy. The physical and mechanical properties, including the density, recovery of set (RS), modulus of elasticity (MOE), modulus of rupture (MOR), and compression parallel to grain were examined. It was observed that the anatomical characteristic of the inner part of OPT (i.e., vascular bundles, vessels, and parenchyma tissue) became flattened, fractured, and collapsed after compression by CSC. The RS decreased with increasing compression temperature and time. The lower RS indicated high dimensional stability. The physical and mechanical properties (i.e., density, MOR, MOE, and compressive strength) of the inner part of OPT increased with increasing compression temperature and time. Compression by the CSC method at $160^{\circ}C$ for 40 min was the optimum treatment.

  • Although Support Vector Machine(SVM) has been used in various fields such as bankruptcy prediction model, the hyperplane learned by SVM in class imbalance problem can be severely skewed toward minority class and has a negative impact on performance because the area of majority class is expanded while the area of minority class is invaded. This study proposed optimized uneven margin SVM(OPT-UMSVM) combining threshold moving or post scaling method with UMSVM to cope with the limitation of the traditional even margin SVM(EMSVM) in class imbalance problem. OPT-UMSVM readjusted the skewed hyperplane to the majority class and had better generation ability than EMSVM improving the sensitivity of minority class and calculating the optimized performance. To validate OPT-UMSVM, 10-fold cross validations were performed on five sub-datasets with different imbalance ratio values. Empirical results showed two main findings. First, UMSVM had a weak effect on improving the performance of EMSVM in balanced datasets, but it greatly outperformed EMSVM in severely imbalanced datasets. Second, compared to EMSVM and conventional UMSVM, OPT-UMSVM had better performance in both balanced and imbalanced datasets and showed a significant difference performance especially in severely imbalanced datasets.

  • A series of bis-aromatic ${\alpha},{\beta}$-unsaturated ketone derivatives with mesaured fungicidal activities in vivo against rice blast(Pyricularia oryzae), tomato leaf blight (Phytophtora infestans) and barley powdery mildew(Erysiphe graminis) were studied by using quantitative structure activity relationship equations. The QSAR model for the activity of phenyl substituents, $1{\sim}11$, clearly reveals three important factors, namely, resonance(R<0), optimal molecular hydrophobicity(${\pi})_{opt.}=0.38$) and optimal distance($((L_{1})_{opt.}=5.69({\AA}))$ of substituent, respectively. But in case of 2-pyridyl substituents, $12{\sim}28$, the activity were governed by optimal molecular refractivity $((M_{R})_{opt.}=8.04{\sim}39cm^{3}/mol)$, steric effect(Es<0) and LUMO energy(e.v). The fungicidal activity relationship of phenyl and 2-pyridyl substituents against Erysiphe graminis have been proportioned.

  • When bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy or mandibular angle reduction are carried out, we have to consider the position of inferior alveolar nerve. For bone splitting or resection using a saw or an osteotome, the bucco-lingual position of the inferior alveolar nerve plays an important role in the preventing perioperative complications such as paresthesia or anesthesia. Because it is rare to find literatures concerning the mean anatomic position of the inferior alveolar nerve in Koreans, we investigated 30 patients who underwent to take CT and orthopantomogram for implant surgery, and evaluated the bucco-lingual position and vertical relationship of the inferior alveolar nerve at the mandible. The results showed that the distance between inferior alveolar nerve and buccal plate was the farthest at mandibular second molar ($7.1{\sim}7.4mm$) and the nearest at mandibular angle area ($4.4{\sim}4.8mm$). But it was no statistical relationship between the bucco-lingual postion of inferior alveolar nerve on the CT and its vertical position on the OPT. In conclusion, the results suggest that a careful surgical procedure is needed at the mandibular angle area to avoid a nerve damage and there are sufficient bone materials at the mandibular second molar are for bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy or mandibular angle reduction or plate fixation. And OPT is not usefull for the evaluation of a relative bucco-lingual position of inferior alveolar nerve in relation to its vertical postion on the OPT.
