The purpose of this study is to research source of soil which is available for non-detergent course, and to develop optimum non-detergent course of washing machine for water soluble soil. The water soluble soil such as grape juice, soy bean paste and soy sauce were easily removed from the fabric but the oil soluble soils such as sesame oil and steak sauce were insurfficiently removed in washing solution without detergent. In the absence of detergent, amount of residual soils increased linearly with increasing number of soiling and washing. To search optimum conditions of washing for non-detergent course, the effect of temperature, washing time and washing method on detergency of soil in non-detergent washing solution was examined. The optimum washing temperature and washing time for non-detergent course were about $40^{\circ}C$, and 7 minutes, respectively. And in the non-detergent washing solution, midterm drain-resupply of water during washing process was good for removal of water soluble soil.

Polishing is one of the important methods in manufacturing of Si wafers and in thinning of completed device wafers. This study will report the characteristic of wafer according to processing time, machining speed and pressure which have major influence on the abrasion of Si wafer polishing. It is possible to evaluation of wafer abrasion by load cell and infrared temperature sensor. The characteristic of wafer surface according to processing condition is selected to use a result data that measure a pressure, machining speed, and the processing time. This result is appeared by the characteristic of wafer surface in machining condition. Through that, the study cans evaluation a wafer characteristic in variable machining condition. It is important to obtain optimal condition. Thus the optimum condition selection of ultra precision Si wafer polishing using load cell and infrared temperature sensor. To evaluate each machining factor, use a data through each sensor. That evaluation of abrasion according to variety condition is selected to use a result data that measure a pressure, machining speed, and the processing time. And optimum condition is selected by this result.
The conditions for the extraction of effective substances from the stem of Opuntia ficus-indica were optimized by a response surface methodology. The total extract yield was maximized under the temperature of $97.77^{\circ}C$, at a time duration of 145.82 min and a water to sample ratio 16.59 mL/g. Moreover, the optimum conditions for the extraction of effective substances were as follows: $84.95^{\circ}C$, 156.50 min and a water/sample ratio of 7.46 mL/g for the phenolics content; and $97.11^{\circ}C$, 139.03 min and a water/sample ratio of 10.91 mL/g for the pectin content. The range of optimum extraction conditions in consideration of the physicochemical properties of the extracts were shown to be as $95-100^{\circ}C$ as the extraction temperature, 120-180 min as extraction time and a water to sample ratio of 5-18 mL/g.

A 1.25 kb DNA fragment including the lscR gene, which encodes a levansucrase of Rahnella aquatilis ATCC 15552, was subcloned into a high-expression vector, pET-29b, and the recombinant enzyme was overexpressed in Escherichia coli. Most of the levansucrase activity was detected in the cytoplasmic fraction after induction with isopropyl ${\beta}-D-thiogalactoside$. The recombinant enzyme with a tag of six histidine residues at the C-terminus was purified 146-fold by affinity and gel-filtration chromatographies. The molecular mass of the purified LscR was approx. 49 kDa as determined by SDS-PAGE. The optimum pH and temperature of this enzyme for levan formation was pH 6.0 and $30^{\circ}C$, respectively. The optimum substrate concentration for levan formation was 300 mM sucrose. Levan formation was increased by the increase of the enzyme concentrations. Maxium yield of levan formation at optimum substrate concentration, pH, and temperature after 24 h of reaction was approximately 80%.

In this study, we investigated optimum condition of cooling plate method to obtain semi-solid AM100A Mg alloy with fine and globular morphology. AM100A Mg alloy were hot extruded at $380^{\circ}C$ extrusion temperature under extrusion ratio of 25 : 1 and ram speed of 2.4 mm/sec. Vickers hardness test, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and image analyzer were performed to identify the optimum conditions of cooling plate method. Optimum conditions of cooling plate method to fabricate semi-solid AM100A Mg alloy with fine and globular microstructures were achieved at a pouring temperature of $602^{\circ}C$ and the angle of cooling plate of 60 degree.
Experimental study on combustion characteristics of a regenerative combustor has performed. High-temperature air combustion in the regenerative combustor is obtained through heat recovery from exhaust gas flow by porous ceramic materials and through alternation of air flow direction through the combustor. Temperature field, CO and NOx emission with respect to the frequency of alternation are measured. It is found that at initial stage of the alternation, temperature of inlet section of main combustion chamber is increased sharply since both high temperature air preheated by the ceramics and prompt fuel injection results in rapid combustion. Following this initial stage, combustion temperature is reduced as the preheated air temperature is reduced. However peak temperature in the chamber and exhaust gas temperature are decreased as the alternation period is reduced, increased temperature of ceramic is observed. CO and NOx emission with respect to the alternation period is also examined. It is found that there exists a range of optimum alternating period for CO and NOx emission characteristics.

The thermal crack in mass concrete is mainly due to the difference of concrete temperature, which is generated by hydration heat of cement. As the thickness of mat foundation increases, the difference of temperature becomes bigger. The purpose of this study is to estimate the optimum placing depth. The temperature of real mat foundation was observed and the thermal analysis by Finite Element Method was executed. Finally, the crack index according to the placing depth was estimated.
In order to establish utilijzation of medicinal herb as vegetable by Hydroponics, the present studies were conducted to investigate the effect of temperature and light on the seed germination ofmedicinal herb. The results obtained are summaried as follows. The lower and upper temperaturelimit for herb germination was 10'c and 30'c within which the optimum was 20'C. Germinationof medicinal herb was similar in light and dark condition.
All elements and systems of electronics have optimum temperature conditions. A using of the thermoelectric method of cooling is the most approach for the thermal management of power electronics. An analysis of using the thermoelectric cooling and the temperature control is given as an efficient method of ensuring a work of power electronic devices in conditions of micro-miniaturization.

A recent study for tracing the profiles of supersonic axisymmetric Minimum Length Nozzle with uniform and parallel flow at the exit section, the stagnation temperature is taken into account. The aim of this work is to add optimization algorithm to the supersonic nozzle design in order to get the optimum nozzle shape. The comparisons of the nozzle contours based on the method of characteristics are presented. The specific heats and their ratio vary with the stagnation temperature when this temperature of a perfect gas increases. An application is made for air in a supersonic nozzle.
