알루미나 세라믹스 부품의 최적화 연삭 가공공정에 관한 기초적 연구 -기계적 특성 치에 의한 최적 가공 기법의 판명- (An Experimental Study on the Optimum Grinding of Alumina Ceramic Parts)

  • Recently, engineering ceramics called as the 3 material have been concerned significantly with some excellent mechanical properties and many functions as new materials for high precision mechanical components and engineering parts for at large. Then, for designing engineering parts using engineering ceramics, bending strength value data with high reliability is more essential than any other mechanical properties. But, because of brittleness and structural characteristic, it is very hard to grind with conventional tools, and the generation of cracks and various defects of engineering ceramics parts during grinding machining process are serious problems. Thus, in present study, surface grinding experiments with various machining conditions using resin bond diamond wheels are carried out to obtain the most excellent guality of testpiece surface and optimum step of grinding process for the high efficient stock removal rate to save running time. As the results from grinding experiments and 3-points bending strength test of ground Al2O3 ceramics parts on Korean Standard, manufactured in our country and Japan, basic technology and know-how to develop the optimum grinding machining conditions and also high bending strength values with high reliability are obtained.

Electroless Copper Plating For Metallization of Electronic Devices

  • In copper metallization, resistivity of copper seed layer is very important. Conventionally MOCVD has been used for this purpose however electroless copper plating is simple process and the resistivity of copper deposit is less than that of copper prepared by MOCVD. In this study electroless copper plating was conducted on different substrate to find optimum conditions of electroless copper plating for electronic applications. To find optimum conditions, the effects and selectivity of activation method on several substrates were investigated. The effects of copper bath composition on morphology were investigated. The effects of pH and stabilizer on deposition rate were also investigated. The optimum pH of the bath was 12 with addition of stabilizer. The resistivity of copper was decreased with addition of stabilizer and alter heat treatment.

고효율 자외선/광촉매 시스템을 이용한 고농도 유기성 폐수처리

  • 음식물 폐기물을 3단계 메탄발효 공정을 이용하여 처리하였을 때 배출되는 발효폐액은 거의 액상으로 고농도의 sCOD, T-N and $NH_{3}-N$를 함유하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 3단계 메탄 발효 후 최종 유출되는 고농도의 유기성 폐수를 물리${\cdot}$화학적 응집 및 침전을 이용하여 전처리 한 후 고효율 자외선/광촉매 시스템을 이용하여 후속 처리를 하고자 하였다. $FeCl_{3}$를 이용하여 전처리하였을 때 최적 pH 및 농도는 4와 2000 mg/L로 52.6%의 COD제거율을 보였다. 고효율 자외선/광촉매 시스템의 경우 24시간 동안 COD는 2890 mg/L에서 184 mg/L로 감소하였으며, T-N은 2496 mg/L에서 914 mg/L로 감소하였다.

  • In order to utilize unsorted ONP, which contains leaflets (printed coated papers), to produce pulp mold, optimum conditions for a repulping process were investigated with a laboratory high consistency pulper. It was concluded that medium or high consistency pulping is necessary to accelerate the rate of deflaking of unsorted ONP. Considering flake content, fines content and pulping energy, the optimum conditions for the laboratory Helico pulper were 11% of repulping concentration and 3 min of repulping time. The repulping temperature shall be at least $30^{\circ}C$. Aging of paper slows down the rate of de flaking but in an actual pulp molding process its effect could be negligible.

한외여과 공정에 의한 알로에 베라 겔 농축 (Concentration of Fresh Gel from Aloe vera L. by Using Ultrafiltration Process)

  • The concentration of fresh gel from Aloe vera L. by using ulfrafiltration (UF) process was investigated and analyzed. The two membranes (organic and ceramic) with different molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) and modules (flat sheet and tubular) was used. Under optimum operation conditions, ceramic (zirconium dioxide) tubular membrane with MWCO of 50 kDa resulted in higher flux, less fouling, more turbid, higher total solid, higher polysaccharide and less aloin content. Optimum operation conditions were transmembrane pressure of 1.0 bar, feed velocity of 240 L/hr and temperature of $23^{\circ}C$. Volume concentration factor of aloe gel was 3.13 at permeate flux of $51.1\;L/m^2{\cdot}hr$ after processing time of 1.66 hr. Aloin in fresh aloe gel by UF process was effectively removed as permeate and bioactive polysaccharide content was 2.1 times higher than that of fresh aloe gel. These results allowed a very good level of concentration degree and polysaccharide content. Thus, ultrafiltration process of this study was suitable for the concentration of fresh aloe gel though the aloe concentrate showed both the viscosity decrease and partially separation of liquid layer during storage at $4^{\circ}C$.

Application of adaptive neuro-fuzzy system in prediction of nanoscale and grain size effects on formability

  • Grain size in sheet metals in one of the main parameters in determining formability. Grain size control in industry requires delicate process control and equipment. In the present study, effects of grain size on the formability of steel sheets is investigated. Experimental investigation of effect of grain size is a cumbersome method which due to existence of many other effective parameters are not conclusive in some cases. On the other hand, since the average grain size of a crystalline material is a statistical parameter, using traditional methods are not sufficient for find the optimum grain size to maximize formability. Therefore, design of experiment (DoE) and artificial intelligence (AI) methods are coupled together in this study to find the optimum conditions for formability in terms of grain size and to predict forming limits of sheet metals under bi-stretch loading conditions. In this regard, a set of experiment is conducted to provide initial data for training and testing DoE and AI. Afterwards, the using response surface method (RSM) optimum grain size is calculated. Moreover, trained neural network is used to predict formability in the calculated optimum condition and the results compared to the experimental results. The findings of the present study show that DoE and AI could be a great aid in the design, determination and prediction of optimum grain size for maximizing sheet formability.

수출용 축양품종 가지의 염절임 공정의 최적화 (Optimization for the Salting Process of Eggplant(Chukyang) for Export Using Response Surface Methodology)

  • 가지의 수출 경쟁력 향상을 위한 한 방안으로 수출용 가지품종인 축양품종을 염가공품으로 개발하기 위하여 염절임 공정을 최적화하였다. 염절임 시간, 절임온도, 염농도를 독립변수로 하고 절임 후 수분함량, 염도, 표면과 내부의 색도 등을 종속변수로 하여, 중심합성계획법으로 실험을 설계하여 최적조건을 얻고자 하였다. 수립된 이차회귀모형으로 예측식을 수립할 수 있었으며 특히 수분함량이나 염도, 표면과 내부의 L과 b 값에 대하여 높은 적합도를 보여 최적조건을 수립하기 위한 제한 변수로 선정하였다. 염농도를 중심점(30%)에서 고정시켜서 얻은 절임시간과 온도는 각각 5.5-6.5일과 13-17$^{\circ}C$였으며, 이때의 종속변수의 제한 요건으로는 수분함량 84%이하, 염도 14%이하 표면 L 값 10-20, b값 0 이하, 내부 L 값은 70-75, b 값이 16-18이었다.

마스낵 제조를 위한 당절임 공정의 최적화 (Optimization for the Sugaring Process of Yam for Snack Food Using Response Surface Methodology)

  • 대부분의 마는 건조분말제품으로 가공되고 있는데, 마를 다양한 가공품으로 개발하기 위한 방법의 하나로 삼투건조라는 전처리를 행하여 건조에 의한 품질손상을 억제하고 단맛으로 기호성을 높인 건조 마 제품을 얻을 수 있는 당절임 공정의 최적화를 시도하여 최적조건을 얻고자 하였다. 침지시간을 3-7시간, 온도는 20-6$0^{\circ}C$, 당농도는 30-70%로 하는 중심합성계획법으로 실험을 설계하여 최적화하였다. 이때의 종속변수로는 침지 후 수분함량, 당도, 색도, 그리고 동결건조후의 수분함량과 재수화율로 하여 분석한 결과 동결건조 후 수분함량에 대해서는 유의성이 없었다. 세 가지의 공정 변수 중 온도의 영향이 가정 적어 온도를 중심으로 고정한 후 침지시간과 당농도의 최적조건을 찾은 결과, 수분함량을 66-70%, 당도를 25-30%, L 75이상, a -2.1--2.4, b를 5이상 그리고 재수화율을 200-250을 제한 조건으로 하는 영역은 5.2-5.9시 간, 56-61%로 나타났다.

Nylon 박지의 CPB방식에 의한 고수축 조건에 관한 연구 (A Study on High Contraction Conditions by the CPB Process of the Nylon Fabric)

  • This study is the high contraction processing conditions set by the method of the CPB process. And the ultimate goal of this study is the high contraction of the CPB processing test method that can solve the problems of the high-contraction fabric processing method of the current jet dyeing machine. Non-coating process(CPB process) developed by the expression of a soft touch, light weight, functional and to develop excellent breathable nylon fabric. The nylon fabrics established the optimum processing conditions through the high contraction of the various test conditions, the CPB system.(The benzyl alcohol was used as the main constrictor.) At this time, the warp and weft contraction of nylon fabric was about 20%. And it established the constrictor concentration, the treatment temperature, time of a variety of tests. Also non-coating process(CPB process) can develop soft touch, lightweight, excellent air permeability. As a result, we developed a high contraction nylon fabric having a uniform surface. Manufactured fabric is used for Wind-proof and Down-proof.

초음파를 이용한 미세저항용접에서의 용접성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Weldability Using Ultrasonic in Thin Spot Welding)

  • Thin spot welding is frequently used for industrial purpose, such as automobile and aerospace industries and household appliances due to its high performance. In these days, the systemization of welding process made it possible to produce more precise or smaller electric parts. And when it comes to welding of steel sheets, the size of nugget must be getting smaller. Therefore, welding conditions are limited to avoid defects, such as deformation, damage and weakening of joining area. In this research, thin spot welding establishes the welding conditions, and then the measurement of the nugget size by the nondestructive inspection has been conducted. As a result, the right estimation of the nugget size, the detection of corona bond near joining area, the selection of the optimum ultrasonic mode, and setup for ultrasonic inspection are studied. From the trustworthy solutions of the nugget size estimated by results of measurement, the optimum inspection conditions depending upon the width of welding parts are determined as well.
