실험 계획법을 이용한 세라믹 재료의 최적 연삭 조건에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Grinding Condition of Ceramics using the Design of Experiments)

  • This paper has studied to obtain the grinding characteristics and optimal grinding conditions of ceramic materials in the grinding with diamond wheel by design of experiments. The load on wheel by varying the feed rate was related with the surface roughness due to the minute destruction phenomenon of grains for the $Si_3\;N_4\;and\;ZrO_2$. The depth of cut is related with the surface roughness because the grinding is carried out by grain shedding process due to the brittle fracture phenomenon for the $A1_2\;O_3$. The major factors affecting the surface roughness and the optimum grinding conditions were obtained with minimum experiments using design of experiments.

  • A plasma gas control apparatus for semiconductor plasma etching processes securely holds a cathode for forming a plasma, confines the plasma during the plasma etching process, and discharges gas after etching. It is a key part of the etching process. With the advancement of semiconductor technology, there is increasing interest in parts for semiconductor manufacturing that directly affect wafers. Accordingly, in order to replace the plasma gas control device with a CVD-SiC material superior in mechanical properties to existing SiCs (Sintered-SiC, RB-SiC), a study on the grinding characteristics of CVD-SiC was carried out. It is confirmed that the optimal grinding condition was obtained when the result table feed rate was 2 m/min and the infeed depth was $5{\mu}m$.

  • An OrthoMTA compacter is made by machining a Ni-Ti alloy wire using tapered helix creep-feed grinding machines. This aim of this study is to find the optimal dressing conditions to sharpen the corner of a cubic boron nitride (CBN) wheel. On the basis of the results of various experiments, it is verified that the most important factors in dressing are the dressing depth and feeding method, whereas the feed rate has less importance for producing a smaller corner R value. The study also finds the optimum dressing depth to reduce the dressing time, a feeding speed and method to stabilize the machining, and the mesh grade for the CBN wheel to make the groove of the compacter deeper.

  • A flexible disk grinding system process has been introduced that utilized varying disk orientation with respect to workpiece along with the applied feed speed. Various process conditions including cutting speed, maximum feed speed and orientation angles could applied to observe process outcomes. Even though continuous and constant feed speed has been applied to the process, the results from the trapezoidal input velocity profiles would be observed and compared. Based on the control strategies including neural network methodologies, several output results were compared to find the optimum process condition. Two axis control results were displayed showing better performance with higher trajectory error for larger training epoch.

초미세습식분쇄공정의 공정변수에 따른 해조칼슘의 입자크기 분석 (Preparation of Seaweed Calcium Microparticles by Wet-grinding Process and their Particle Size Distribution Analysis)

  • 습식분쇄의 최적조건을 얻고자 부형제 종류, 농도, 습식 분쇄시 rotor speed, bead size, feed rate, 분쇄회수를 달리하여 분쇄한 결과, 부형제로는 gum arabic을 사용하여 5%의 농도로 첨가할 때 가장 좋은 분쇄효과를 나타내었다. Rotor speed를 달리하여 습식분쇄한 결과, rotor speed가 증가할수록 좋은 결과를 나타내어 4,000 rpm에서 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 원료와 직접 부딪혀 분쇄를 하게 되는 bead는 0.4 mm의 크기를 사용하였을 때 가장 작은 사이즈로 분쇄되는 것으로 나타났다. 분쇄가 이루어지는 chamber내에 원료를 공급하는 비율에 따른 결과에서는 40 L/h 의 속도로 공급했을 때 가장 작은 입도분포를 보였다. 분쇄회수에 따른 영향은 횟수에 따라서는 8회 이상으로 분쇄하였을때 0.6 $\mu$m이하의 입도분포가 90% 이상으로 나타나 10회를 분쇄하였을때 가장 좋은 효과를 나타내었다. 연속운전과 비연속운전의 비교에서는 연속운전이 더 효율적이었으며 부형제 종류에 따른 영향은 gum arabic을 첨가하여 분쇄하였을때 가장 우수한 결과를 나타내었다. 따라서 적절한 농도와 종류의 부형제 사용과 rotor speed, bead size, feed rate, 용매와의 혼합비의 최적공정을 수립한 습식 분쇄기술로 초미세액상칼슘의 제조가 가능하였고, 습식분쇄기술을 식품가공기술로 활용할 수 있는 가능성을 확보하였다.

  • In order to investigate the effect of punching condition on the stretch flange formability of sheet for deep drawing hole expansion tests at various edge condition were done. Edge conditions were changed by altering tool clearances artifical defects grinding and deburring. For a determination of optimum edge condition of side panel of automobile punched section analysis and forming results were studied and the laboratory test results were used. In case of considered side panel tool clearance should be less than 15% and punched edge should be uniform without defects for safe forming

  • This study investigated the effects of ball mill operation condition on the morphology of raw powders in the dry-type milling process using three types of ball mills traditional ball mill, stirred ball mill and planetary ball mill. Furthermore, since spherical powders offer the best combination of high hardness and high density, the optimum milling condition to produce sphere-shaped powders was studied. The applied rotation speed ranged from 200rpm (low rotation speed) to 700rpm (high rotation speed). The used ball size ranged from 1mm to 5mm. The metal powder morphology was studied using SEM, XRD and PSA. The aimed spherical powders could be obtained under the optimum experimental conditions: traditional ball mill(200rpm, 1mm ball), planetary ball mill (500rpm, 1mm ball) and also planetary ball mill (700rpm, 1 and 3 mm ball). The results show to the development of new material using spherical type copper powder/CNT composites for air-craft and automotive applications.

Correlation between Acoustic Intensity and Ground Particle Size in Alumina Ball Mill Process

  • In the ball milling process of ceramic powders, according to economic considerations for industrial applications, it is very important to quickly determine the optimum process condition with the maximum grinding efficiency. However, it is still difficult to determine the optimum condition for a ball mill with respect to the various process parameters, such as the rotational speed and the milling time. Ball milling was carried out at the same starting conditions with given amounts of alumina powders, balls and water, and was conducted slower or faster or a critical rotational speed was just determined by observing the angular position of the slurry in a semi-translucent polyethylene laboratory container. With respect to the different rotational speeds, which were slower or faster than the critical rotational speed, the particle size distribution of the grained powders and the acoustic intensity caused by cascading of the balls led to various behaviors. From the results of the particle size distribution and the acoustic signal analysis in the ball milling, there was one rotational speed that made the finest milled powder with maximum acoustic intensity. As a result, there was a correlation between the ground particle size and the acoustic intensity, which yields the interpretation that it can be possible in-situ to determine the optimum condition of ball milling by acoustic signal without repeated measurement efforts.

시료 전처리 방법이 근적외선분광법을 이용한 옥수수 사일리지의 화학적 조성분 평가에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Sample Preparations on Prediction of Chemical Composition for Corn Silage by Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy)

  • 본 연구는 시료 및 스펙트럼의 전처리 방법이 근적외선 분광법을 이용한 옥수수 사일리지의 화학적 조성분의 예측능력에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위해 수행되었다. 시료의 전처리 방법은 건조하여 분쇄하는 방법(Oven Dried Grinding), 액화 질소처리 후 분쇄하는 방법(Liquid Nitrogen Grinding) 그리고 생사일리지(Intact Fresh)처리로 하였으며 4개의 스펙트럼의 수처리(1,4,4, 2,6,4, 2,10,5) 방법을 이용하여 다변량회귀분석법인 변형부분최소자승회귀법(MPLS)을 통해 검량식을 작성하였다. 시료의 전처리 방법에 의해서 유도된 검량식의 예측 능력은 섬유소 성분(NDF, ADF)과 일반 조성분(CP, Ash) 모두에서 Oven dried grinding (ODG) > Liquid nitrogen grinding (LNG)>Intact fresh (IF) 처리 순으로 우수하였다. 또한 스펙트럼의 수처리 방법에 의한 결과는 시료의 전처리 방법에 따라 그 예측 능력이 다르게 나타났다. 옥수수 사일리지의 섬유소 함량을 예측하기 위한 최적의 시료 전처리 및 스펙트럼 수처리 방법은 NDF는 ODG 처리에 2,10,5 수처리 방법 $(R^2=0.86)$, ADF는 ODG 처리에 2,10,5 수처리 방법 $(R^2v=0.93)$이 가장 우수한 전처리 방법으로 나타났다. 조단백질 함량과 조회분 함량을 측정하기 위한 최적의 시료 전처리 및 스펙트럼 수처리 방법은 조단백질은 ODG 처리에 1,4,4 수처리 방법$(R^2v,=0.91)$, 조회분은 ODG 처리에 2,10,5 수처리 방법$(R^2v=0.89)$이 가장 우수한 전처리 방법으로 판단된다. 이상의 연구 결과를 종합해보면 근적외선 분광법을 이용한 사일리지의 화학적 조성분 함량 측정은 적은 오차 범위 내에서 신속하고 정확한 분석법이 될 수 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 비록 원물 생시료(IF)에 대한 직접적인 측정은 다소 예측 정확성이 떨어지지만 현장 적용성과 편리성을 높이기 위해서는 생시료의 측정시 오차를 줄일 수 있는 스펙트럼의 수처리 방법이나 산란보정 방법과 같은 데이터 처리기법에 대한 더 많은 연구가 앞으로 진행되어야 한다고 생각되어진다.
