Precision Analysis of the STOMP(FW) Algorithm According to the Spatial Conceptual Hierarchy (공간 개념 계층에 따른 STOMP(FW) 알고리즘의 정확도 분석)

  • Most of the existing pattern mining techniques are capable of searching patterns according to the continuous change of the spatial information of an object but there is no constraint on the spatial information that must be included in the extracted pattern. Thus, the existing techniques are not applicable to the optimal path search between specific nodes or path prediction considering the nodes that a moving object is required to round during a unit time. In this paper, the precision of the path search according to the spatial hierarchy is analyzed using the Spatial-Temporal Optimal Moving Pattern(with Frequency & Weight) (STOPM(FW)) algorithm which searches for the optimal moving path by considering the most frequent pattern and other weighted factors such as time and cost. The result of analysis shows that the database retrieval time is minimized through the reduction of retrieval range applying with the spatial constraints. Also, the optimal moving pattern is efficiently obtained by considering whether the moving pattern is included in each hierarchical spatial scope of the spatial hierarchy or not.

A Study on the Optimal Trading Frequency Pattern and Forecasting Timing in Real Time Stock Trading Using Deep Learning: Focused on KOSDAQ (딥러닝을 활용한 실시간 주식거래에서의 매매 빈도 패턴과 예측 시점에 관한 연구: KOSDAQ 시장을 중심으로)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to explore the optimal trading frequency which is useful for stock price prediction by using deep learning for charting image data. We also want to identify the appropriate time for accurate forecasting of stock price when performing pattern analysis. Design/methodology/approach In order to find the optimal trading frequency patterns and forecast timings, this study is performed as follows. First, stock price data is collected using OpenAPI provided by Daishin Securities, and candle chart images are created by data frequency and forecasting time. Second, the patterns are generated by the charting images and the learning is performed using the CNN. Finally, we find the optimal trading frequency patterns and forecasting timings. Findings According to the experiment results, this study confirmed that when the 10 minute frequency data is judged to be a decline pattern at previous 1 tick, the accuracy of predicting the market frequency pattern at which the market decreasing is 76%, which is determined by the optimal frequency pattern. In addition, we confirmed that forecasting of the sales frequency pattern at previous 1 tick shows higher accuracy than previous 2 tick and 3 tick.

  • A coverglass pattern was designed to improve the annual electrical energy production of a building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) module installed in the exterior walls of buildings. The transmittance pattern was calculated using ray tracing, and the results were derived by optimizing the simulation using Taguchi's method. We obtained the optimal pattern by analyzing the conventional patterns for improving the transmittance and derived design factors by quantifying the pattern. By calculating the influence of electrical energy on each design factor, we obtained the optimal coverglass pattern that produced the maximum annual electrical energy. The annual electrical energy production improved by approximately 11.79% compared to the non-patterned coverglass.

  • The goal of this study is simulation of optimal search pattern of ships based on performance surface which are reflected underwater environmental. The process is as follows. First, temporal and spatial environmental database are extracted in complex environment and input hull mounted SONAR system parameters. The environmental database and SONAR system parameters are substituted to SONAR equations, and calculate signal excess, detection probability, detection range. And then, the performance surface, which can be used to provide operational insight of SONAR detection performance, are pictorialized. Finally, optimal search pattern of ships are simulated using genetic algorithm based on performance surface. And then, we certify optimal search pattern in various ways.

  • A genetic algorithm to determine the optimal signal sequence and double cycle pattern is described. The signal sequence and double cycle pattern are used as the input for TRANSYT to find optimal signal timing at each junction in the area traffic networks, In the genetic process, the partially matched crossover and simple crossover operators are used for evolution of signal sequence and double cycle pattern respectively. A special conversion algorithm is devised to convert the signal sequence into the link-stage assignment for TRANSYT. Results from tests using data from an area traffic network in Leicester region R are given.

  • This paper is proposed one method of the exact optimal switching pattern of Selected Harmonic Elimination(SHE) Pulse Width Modulation(PWM). It defined Harmonic Elimination Band (HEB) at Constant Voltage(CV) and sought all solutions which are included HEB. Then, it calculated the Generalized Klirr Factor(GKF) beling to this solution and decided the optimal switching pattern which is minimized GKF. This optimal switching solution is used as initial condition of Newto Raphson(NR) method of decided easily switching pattern at Variable Voltage(VV). We desined the inverter by Power Transister(PTR) and implemented variable speed drive of Induction Motor(IM) in order to verify the validity of this theoretical proposition, then shown this results by comparison and analysis.

  • This paper is proposed new optimal PWM scheme is based on a defined linear relationship between the successive pulsewidths of the PWM pattern. The calculation of the pulsewidths in the new PWM scheme is caried out without referring to the equations of CW and MW. With this scheme the PWM pattern for microprocessor controlled inverters can be composed easily by obtaining the optimal increment in sucessive pulsiwidths of the pattern. Furthmore, the harmonic level at the output of PWM inverter are always very low because this PWM pattern is selected on the basis of minimum THD. Theis scheme is applied to 1(Hp), three phase induction motor, and compared with conventional regular PWM scheme. The results of calculations and experiments show that new optimal PWM scheme could provide an effective generalized approach for minimization of harmonics in the VSI-PWM inverter.

  • Many applications in computer graphics require complex, highly detailed models. However, to control processing time, it is often desirable to use approximations in place of excessively detailed models. Therefore, we have developed the notion of an optimal matrix to simplify the model surface which can then rapidly obtain high quality 2D patterns by flattening the 3D surface. Firstly, the woman's 3D body was modeled based on Size Korea data. Secondly, the 3D model was divided by shell and block for the pattern draft. Thirdly, each block was flattened by the grid and bridge method. Finally, we select the optimal matrix and demonstrate it's efficiency and quality. The proposed approach accommodates surfaces with darts, which are commonly utilized in the clothing industry to reduce the deformation of surface forming and flattening. The resulting optimal matrix could be an initiation of standardization for pattern flattening. This can facilitate much better approximations, in both efficiency and exactness.

  • For developing the location based service which is individualized and specialized according to the characteristic of the users, the spatio-temporal pattern mining for extracting the meaningful and useful patterns among the various patterns of the mobile object on the spatio-temporal area is needed. Thus, in this paper, as the practical application toward the development of the location based service in which it is able to apply to the real life through the pattern mining from the huge historical data of mobile object, we are proposed STOMP(using Frequency of sequence and Weight) that is the new mining method for extracting the patterns with spatial and temporal constraint based on the problems of mining the optimal moving pattern which are defined in STOMP(F)[25]. Proposed method is the pattern mining method compositively using weighted value(weights) (a distance, the time, a cost, and etc) for our previous research(STOMP(F)[25]) that it uses only the pattern frequent occurrence. As to, it is the method determining the moving pattern in which the pattern frequent occurrence is above special threshold and the weight is most a little bit required among moving patterns of the object as the optimal path. And also, it can search the optimal path more accurate and faster than existing methods($A^*$, Dijkstra algorithm) or with only using pattern frequent occurrence due to less accesses to nodes by using the heuristic moving history.

  • The paper is written to determine the optimal search pattern through search effects assessment on underwater targets. 5 types of search patterns are introduced such as, M-type pattern, W-type pattern, rectangular pattern, 4-type pattern and square pattern, In addition, Operational effectiveness analysis model is developed to obtain the optimum search pattern. The algorithms and mathematical models are also suggested to analyze the required search times, AUV's movement patterns, moving distances, overlapping areas and so on.
