  • This paper proposes a method for solving running cost problem by minimizing switching reactive power compensation devices. An objective function was modeled by calculating the weighting value of cost, and a solution was derived using ILP. This paper suggests optimal coordinative control method between FACTS, Shunt Reactors, Capacitors and OLTC. Therefore, it is valuable for decision maker in determining order and capacity of devices which gaining a voltage stabilization. As a result, the objectives of voltage stabilization and cost minimization were achieved simultaneously. This realizes the economic efficiency of the system. We start by showing how to solve systems of linear equations using the language of pivots and tableaus. The effectiveness of this technique is demonstrated in modified PSS/E MIGUM 45 bus system. The simulation results show the effectiveness of this algorithm by comparing the outcome withseveral established methods.

  • This paper is proposed a novel method to approximate the maximum power for a photovoltaic inverter system and tracking method. It is designed for power systems application and utilities. The proposed Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) control has the advantage to provide a new simple way to approximate the optimal or rated voltage, the optimal or rated current and maximum power rating produced by a solar panel and the photovoltaic inverter. And this straightforward method will be named linear reoriented coordinates method (LRCM) with the advantage that Pmax and $V_{op}$ can be approximated using the same variable as the dynamic model without using complicate approximations or Taylor series. Furthermore tracking method is improved over 50% photovoltaic efficiency. This paper is proposed MPPT using LRMC and tracking method using weather condition of domestic moderate program technique. This paper is proposed the experimental results to verify the effectiveness of the new methods.

  • This paper proposes the control algorithm for maximum efficiency drive of PWM inverter - induction motor system with high dynamic performance. If the induction motor is driven under light load with rated magnetizing current, the Iron loss is excessively large compared with the codder loss which results in doer motor efficiency. Maximum efficiency drive of an induction motor can be achieved by controlling the magnetizing current to satisfy the optimal ratio that leads the total motor loss to be a minimum value at a given speed. The proposed control algorithm essentially uses vector control technique and adopts voltage decoupling control strategy to prevent the degradation of dynamic performance due to reduced magnetizing current. To verify the proposed method, digital simulations and experiments are carried out for a squirrel-cage induction motor with the rating of 2.2[kW].

  • Hitherto, train schedules are made by several human experts and the scheduling is very long and tedious job. Moreover those results are not accepted as the optimal solution. The purpose of this research is the finding of optimal methodology and useful constraints for locomotive scheduling. For these purposes, the interactive simulation program for train linking schedule is developed. Some constraints and technique for train linking scheduling is able to be edited or modified by various interactive windows. The constraints, rules and methodology for scheduling can be analyzed and also obtained useful schedule results by using this program.

  • Recently, the importance of supplying the reliable electric power is increasing. Breaking insulation of stator winding is major cause of fault in rotator machine. On-line PD detecting is useful technique to diagnose rotator machine. However, interpretation of its results in time domain is very complex because of the mixed results with PD(Partial Discharge) and noise signal. Therefore, the results were analyzed in frequency domain by FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) to detect precise PD signals. The purpose of this paper is to describe the optimal frequency range to discriminate the PD and noise signal.

  • This study aims at the optimal design of the screw rotor and its performance analysis. The optimal design of the screw rotor's shape has been performed theoretically. Also, the performance analysis technique of an oil-injected screw air compressor is developed. The effect of internal leakage, heat exchange between air and oil, and flow resistance at suction and discharge ports are included in the performance analysis. Some numerical examples of the volumetric efficiency and adiabatic efficiency for sample rotors are demonstrated for various lobe combination, rotor wrap angles and L/D ratios.

  • The multihole blanking of thin sheet metal using progressive die set is an important process on production of precision electronic machine parts such as IC leadframe. In this paper, in order to investigate the influence of blanking order on the final lead profile and deformed configuration, simulation technique for progressive blanking process is proposed and analyzed by LS-DYNA. The results of FE-simulations are in good agreement with the experimental results. Consequently, from the results of FE-analysis based on the procedure proposed in this paper, it is possible to predict the deformation of lead and to manufacture high precision leadframes in progressive blanking process and these results might be used as a guideline to develop layout design system in multihole blanking process.

  • Substructures position is considered as design parameter to obtain optimal structural changes to raise its dynamic characteristics. In conventional SDM (structural dynamics modification) method, the layout of modifying substructures position is first fixed and at that condition the structural optimization is performed by using the substructures size and/or material property as design parameters. But in this paper as a design variable substructures global translational and rotational position is treated. For effective structural modification the eigenvalue sensitivity with respect to that design parameter is derived based on measured frequency response function. The optimal structural modification is calculated by combining eigenvalue sensitivities and eigenvalue reanalysis technique iteratively. Numerical examples are presented to the case of beam stiffener optimization to raise the natural frequency of plate.

  • A voltammetric investigation of Au assay was conducted at a low cost, using Nafion and DNA immobilized on a graphite Pencil working electrode (NDP) with a black lead counter and reference. The following optimal parameters were found: 0.4 V amplitude, 500 Hz frequency, -0.7 V initial potential, and 0.015 V increment potential. These optimal conditions were also applied to sand obtained from the river site. The aforementioned technique is simpler and less costly compared to the common voltammetry and spectrophotometric methods.
