The development project of Busan New Port aims to be Logistics Hub Port but there are too many things to deal with ; enlargement of harbour, interport competition, modernization of harbour loading equipment and so on. At present, 23 berths of North and South container quay are in operation and 22 berths will be constructed on west and south-side by 2020. Namely, Busan New Port will operate 45 berths in 2020. When it comes to port distripark, a large-scale of Port distripark project is underway, such as Ung-Dong district 1,2 phase, West container 1,2phase, North distripark and so on. This study is to deduce traffic system problem of Busan New Port which is caused by the development project through predicting traffic need considering the development project. According to study, there are three main problems of traffic system : 1. traffic congestion caused on main crossroad, connecting second harbour back road. 2. It has been predicted that South-North road and traffic capacity of New Port road would lack compared to traffic volume-to-be-increased. Moreover, the detour volume of traffic is caused because New Port's 1st avenue and route 2 were not connected directly. Thus, this study suggests three kinds of improvement plan for smoother traffic flow. 1st. Operate roundabout on major intersection, for example, second harbour back road, west container wharf's subway corridors(South to North), and permit only right turn on sub-intersection. 2nd. Extend New Port road(North container's port road) by utilizing side walk and median. 3rd. Install exit ramp which utilizes Route 2 connecting New Port's 1st avenue and local road 1042. The method we used to analyze the effect of improvement is Vissim of Mircro Simulation Package.

Since accidents of hazardous material transport vehicle on roadways cause severe damage in the form of disaster, foreign countries have long been engaged in systematic management and establishment of relevant laws and policies for the road safety. Recently, over 10-kilometer long tunnel, such as Inje-Yangyang Tunnel and Geumjeongsan Tunnel, has been opened on the expressway and the production of various hazardous materials is increasing with the development of chemical technology. However, road laws related to the safe operation of hazardous materials transport vehicles are still lacking, and policy measures for managing them have not been specified. It is an important task to recognize the risk of accidents of hazardous material transport vehicles and to secure road safety by establishing a management plan for road managers. Therefore, this study analyzed the feasibility of the traffic regulation of expressway tunnel in South Korea and suggested a direction for management. The results of this study can be utilized as the primary data for the revision of law related to hazardous materials transport vehicles on roadways and the derivation of optimal route of hazardous materials transport vehicles.

This study aimed to devise the method to construct safe and convenient bicycle road by considering the peripheral environmental factor related to using bicycle. Analyzing the existing design of bicycle road and construction case, this study established the method to design bicycle road that reflects site condition and presented the optimal design method for each type of bicycle road to construct safe and convenient bicycle road by analyzing the type of traffic accident for each type of bicycle road, surveying present situation and local survey. It was found that the optimum design of bicycle road for specification, width, curve radius, ascending slope, etc in consideration of peripheral environment and separating traffic between users of traffic means should be done by installing safety sign, safe facilities and separation facilities to design safe bicycle road. Further, the minimum traffic space of bicycle users and connection between bicycle roads should be ensured to design safe bicycle road. It is judged that information related to safety and convenience of bicycle road such as slope, route information, location of convenience facilities, information to the public traffic should be provided so as to activate the users of bicycle.
특별한 경우에 대한 {{{{O($\mid$V$\mid$ + $\mid$E$\mid$)시간과 {{{{O($\mid$E$\mid$^2 + $\mid$E$\mid$$\mid$V$\mid$log$\mid$V$\mid$)시간 알고리즘을 보였으며 배낭 문제의 해결책과 유사한 그리디 휴리스틱(greedy heuristic) 알고리즘이 그물 구조(mesh) 그래프 상에서 좋은 결과를 보여주고 있음을 실험을 통해 확인해 보았다.Abstract This paper considers a graph-theoretic problem motivated by a telecommunication network optimization. When a private organization wishes to connect two sites by leasing physical lines from a public telecommunications network, it is often the cases that several categories of lines are available, at different costs. Typically a faster (low delay) lines costs more than a slower (high delay) line. However, low cost lines cannot be used exclusively because the Quality of Service (QoS) requirements often impose a bound on the end-to-end delay. Therefore, overlaying a path on the public network involves two diametrically opposing factors: cost and delay. The following variation of the standard shortest path problem is thus of interest: the shortest route between the two sites that meets a given bound on the end-to-end delay. For this problem we formulate a graph-theoretical problem that has both a shortest path component as well as coloring component. Interestingly, the problem could be formulated as a knapsack problem. We have shown that the general problem is NP-complete. The optimal polynomial-time algorithms for some special cases and one heuristic algorithm for the general problem are described.

The prediction of the accurate traffic information can provide an optimal route from the place of departure to a destination, therefore, this makes it possible to obtain a saving of time and money. To predict traffic information, we use a Bayesian network method based on probability model in this paper. Existing researches predicting the traffic information based on a Bayesian network generally used to study the data for all time. In this paper, however, only data corresponding to same time and day of the week to predict selectively will be used for learning. In fact, the experiment was carried out for 14 links zone in Seoul, also, the accuracy of the prediction results of the two different methods should be tested with MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) which is commonly used. In view of MAPE, experimental results show that the proposed method may calculate traffic prediction value with a higher accuracy than the method used to learn the data for all time zones.
Last-Mile delivery optimization plays a key role in the urban supply chain operation, which is the most expensive and time-consuming and most complicated part of the whole delivery process. The urban consolidation center (UCC) is regarded as a significant asset for supporting customer demand in the last-mile delivery service. It is the key benefit of UCC to improve the load balance of vehicles and to reduce the total traveling distance by finding the better route with the well-organized multi-leg vehicle journey in the urban area. This paper presents the model using multiple scenario analysis integrated with mathematical optimization techniques using Geographic Information System (GIS). The model aims to find the best solution for the distribution network consisted of DC and UCC, which is applied to the case of Ulaanbaatar Mongolia. The proposed methodology integrates two sub-models, location-allocation model and vehicle routing problem. The multiple scenarios devised by selecting locations of UCC are compared considering the general performance and delivery patterns together. It has been adopted to make better decisions the quantitative metrics such as the economic value of capital cost, operating cost, and balance of using available resources. The result of this research may help the manager or public authorities who should design the distribution network for the last mile delivery service optimization using UCC within the urban area.
The visual implementation of 3-dimensional national environment is focused by the requirement and importance in the fields such as, national development plan, telecommunication facility deployment plan, railway construction, construction engineering, spatial city development, safety and disaster prevention engineering. The currently used DEM system using contour lines, which embodies national geographic information based on the 2-D digital maps and facility information has limitation in implementation in reproducing the 3-D spatial city. Moreover, this method often neglects the altitude of the rail way infrastructure which has narrow width and long length. There it is needed to apply laser measurement technique in the spatial target object to obtain accuracy. Currently, the LiDAR data which combines the laser measurement skill and GPS has been introduced to obtain high resolution accuracy in the altitude measurement. In this paper, we first investigate the LiDAR based researches in advanced foreign countries, then we propose data a generation scheme and an algorithm for the optimal manage and synthesis of railway facility system in our 3-D spatial terrain information. For this object, LiDAR based height data transformed to DEM, and the realtime unification of the vector via digital image mapping and raster via exactness evaluation is transformed to make it possible to trace the model of generated 3-dimensional railway model with long distance for 3D tract model generation.
Hub network design for freight transportation is a decision process that determines hub locations together with freight transportation routes among shippers so as to ultimately minimize total logistics cost. This study presents the optimal location of hubs by strict hub network design policy with single allocation, which overcomes the limitation of Kim et al. (2008) that does not allow direct transportation among shippers. The greedy-interchange algorithm is employed for hub location decision process, and EMME/2 is adopted for the route searching process. Application of the processes to the nationwide highway network shows that the best hub locations in order are Seoul metropolitan, GyeongNam, Chung-nam, Jeon-Nam, Gyeong-Buk, Chung-Buk, and the locations are concentrated on the Seoul-Busan corridor. The strict hubnetwork design policy with single allocation increases the transportation distance but decreases the transportation cost by passing through the hubs instead of direct transportation. The reduction in total transportation cost can be achieved as the number of hubs increases, but the amount of the reduction gradually decreases because the cost reduction from the decrease in detour transportation distance between non-hubs and hubs becomes less than the discount reduction from dispersion of inter-hubs transportation volumes.

For well over 100 years, oil has enabled remote communities to generate electricity and enjoy the benefits of a consistent electrical supply. Relying solely on oil for electricity generation has left island and remote communities exposed to several risks and drawbacks. Oil-based electricity generation is often more expensive and subject to price volatility, which can result in the use of risky fuel hedging strategies. The residents of islands and remote communities express concern over the future impacts of climate change or insist on their opinions for the corresponding action with reduction of carbon emissions. These risks and drawbacks can be overcomed with continuing cost reductions in solar, wind, and energy storage technologies by maker. Reducing costs is not always a straightforward process, relying on more diversely and renewably arranged renewable energy sources led to reduced local construction cost in every situation reviewed in this study. In this paper, a convenient and simple design solution which will facilitate the optimum location and transmission route of renewable energy facility using GIS(Geographic Information System) is proposed. The suggested solutions exercised to the case of geomoon island using GIS and identified by local site survey.
There are two goals in this paper. The one is development of existing CA(Cellular Automata) model to explain more realistic deceleration process to stop. The other is the application of the updated CA model to forecasting simulation to predict short term link travel time that takes a key rule in finding the shortest path of route guidance system of ITS. Car following theory of CA models don't makes not response to leading vehicle's velocity but gap or distance between leading vehicles and following vehicles. So a following vehicle running at free flow speed must meet steeply sudden deceleration to avoid back collision within unrealistic braking distance. To tackle above unrealistic deceleration rule, “Slow-to-stop” rule is integrated into NaSch model. For application to interrupted traffic flow, this paper applies “Slow-to-stop” rule to both normal traffic light and random traffic light. And vehicle packet method is used to simulate a large-scale network on the desktop. Generally, time series data analysis methods such as neural network, ARIMA, and Kalman filtering are used for short term link travel time prediction that is crucial to find an optimal dynamic shortest path. But those methods have time-lag problems and are hard to capture traffic flow mechanism such as spill over and spill back etc. To address above problems. the CA model built in this study is used for forecasting simulation to predict short term link travel time in Kangnam district network And it's turned out that short term prediction simulation method generates novel results, taking a crack of time lag problems and considering interrupted traffic flow mechanism.
