New Method of Injectable Hydrogels by Novel Photo-polymerization

  • Utilizing the existence of the induction period in photo-polymerization, we propose a new injection method of photo-polymerizable, thermocrosslinking hydrogels made of di-acrylated Pluronic F127 (DA-PF127). This method can solve the problem of fast dissolution of thermal gelation as a scaffold and the disadvantages of the existing injection method that photo-polymerize di-acrylated Pluronic polymer after injection using optical fiber. Injectable gelation of DA-PF127 by the proposed method was demonstrated both in vitro and in vivo. The enhanced stability by this novel photo-polymerization strategy was confirmed by the more sustained release of loaded protein as well as the prolonged degradation time of the hydrogels.

  • Organic light emitting diodes(OLEDs) with a hole injection layer inserted between Indium-Tin-Oxide(ITO) anode and hole transport layer were fabricated. The effect of plasma treatment on the surface properties of Indium-Tin-Oxide(ITO) anode were studied. The electrical and optical characteristics of the fabricated organic light emitting diodes(OLEDs) were also studied. The diode including of plasma treated ITO substrate and the hole injection layer, which showed the luminance of 5280 $cd/m^{2}$ at 8 V

사출성형 CAE와 머신러닝을 이용한 스파이럴 성형품의 중량 예측 (Prediction of Weight of Spiral Molding Using Injection Molding Analysis and Machine Learning)

  • In this paper, we intend to predict the mass of the spiral using CAE and machine learning. First, We generated 125 data for the experiment through a complete factor design of 3 factors and 5 levels. Next, the data were derived by performing a molding analysis through CAE, and the machine learning process was performed using a machine learning tool. To select the optimal model among the models learned using the learning data, accuracy was evaluated using RMSE. The evaluation results confirmed that the Support Vector Machine had a good predictive performance. To evaluate the predictive performance of the predictive model, We randomly generated 10 non-overlapping data within the existing injection molding condition level. We compared the CAE and support vector machine results by applying random data. As a result, good performance was confirmed with a MAPE value of 0.48%.

  • 최근 고품질 제품 생산을 위한 방법으로 센서를 이용한 사출공정모니터링 시스템이 적용되고 있다. 그러나 마이크로 금형, 광학용 금형 및 구조가 복잡한 금형에는 센서 설치가 어렵기 때문에, 공정 모니터링 시스템이 적용되기 어려운 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 금형과 사출성형기 노즐의 압력 을 측정하여 공정 모니터링 데이터의 정량적 지수를 정의하고, 성형품 중량에 대한 상관분석을 수행하여 노즐에 설치된 압력센서의 공정모니터링 적용성을 알아보았다. 또한 공정모니터링 데이터를 분석하여 다단사출속도, 보압 및 제한 사출 압력의 영향에 따른 사출성형기의 공정 제어 특성도 알아보았다.

  • The optical elements made of plastics are normally produced by mass production such as injection molding with use of precision dies and molds. It costs to prepare the dies and molds, and it is only justified to prepare such expensive dies and molds when the parts are massively produced. On the other hand, it is too expensive and inefficient when precision plastic parts are needed only in small quantities, such as a case of trial manufacturing of new products. An ultra-precision diamond cutting is one of promising processes to produce the precision plastic parts in such cases. But it is commonly believed that an ultra-precision cutting of plastics for optical components is very difficult, because they are thermo-plastic material. In the present research, an ultra-precision diamond cutting of polycarbonate (PC), that is one of typical optical materials, was tried by using elliptical vibration cutting method. It is experimentally proved that good optical surfaces were obtained by using elliptical vibration cutting in cases of grooving and flat surfaces. The maximum surface roughness of less than 60 nm in peak to valley value is acquired.

Optical Imaging Technology for Real-time Tumor Monitoring

  • Optical imaging modalities with properties of real-time, non-invasive, in vivo, and high resolution for image-guided surgery have been widely studied. In this review, we introduce two optical imaging systems, that could be the core of image-guided surgery and introduce the system configuration, implementation, and operation methods. First, we introduce the optical coherence tomography (OCT) system implemented by our research group. This system is implemented based on a swept-source, and the system has an axial resolution of 11 ㎛ and a lateral resolution of 22 ㎛. Second, we introduce a fluorescence imaging system. The fluorescence imaging system was implemented based on the absorption and fluorescence wavelength of indocyanine green (ICG), with a light-emitting diode (LED) light source. To confirm the performance of the two imaging systems, human malignant melanoma cells were injected into BALB/c nude mice to create a xenograft model and using this, OCT images of cancer and pathological slide images were compared. In addition, in a mouse model, an intravenous injection of indocyanine green was used with a fluorescence imaging system to detect real-time images moving along blood vessels and to detect sentinel lymph nodes, which could be very important for cancer staging. Finally, polarization-sensitive OCT to find the boundaries of cancer in real-time and real-time image-guided surgery using a developed contrast agent and fluorescence imaging system were introduced.

사출/압축 및 RHCM 기술이 7인치 도광판 마이크로 패턴 전사성에 미치는 영향에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Replication Ratio of Micro Patterns of 7 inch LGP using Injection/Compression and RHCM)

  • Recently, according to the rapid development of display, many display applications, such as, cellular phone, navigation, monitor and LCD TV have been changed from CRT type to LCD type. BLU(Back Light Unit) is one of main parts in LCD unit and generally, it consists of a light source, a reflective sheet, a LGP(Light Guide Plate), a diffuser sheet, and two prism sheets. The most important component of BLU is a light guide plate, which diffuses the input light to the TFT-LCD module uniformly. The LGP is usually made by injection molding process, and it has numerous optical micro patterns on the surface. In the present study the micro-patterned stamper which has cylindrical shape was fabricated by using the UV-LiGA process. And the replication characteristics have been compared among three different kinds of injection molding process; general injection molding, injection/compression molding and RHCM(Rapid Heating and Cooling Molding). Average replication ratios of CIM and ICM were 19.1% and 64.6%, respectively. On the other hand, the average replication ratio of RHCM process showed the higher value of 98.4% among these. It show that maintaining the mold surface above $T_g$ could increase the replication ratio of micro patterns substantially.

폴리머 마이크로렌즈 제작 (Polymer Microlens Fabrication)

  • 마이크로렌즈 어레이의 제작은 매우 다양한 재료와 방법이 제안되어 지고 있으나, 폴리머를 이용한 사출법은 광학적 특성, 내충격성, 가공성, 경량화 및 환경친화성 등의 장점으로 주목 받고 있다. 사출법 템플레이트를 제작하기 위한 PR(Photo-Resist) reflow법은 형상제어가 용이하고 대량생산과 정밀가공의 측면에서 효율적이어서, 집적화가 용이하고 공정을 줄일 수 있는 장점을 갖게 되어 매우 환경친화적이다. 그러나 마이크로렌즈 어레이의 사출성형은 사용되는 폴리머재료의 성질에 따라 성형에 어려움이 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 성형의 어려움을 극복하기 위한 방법으로 급가열/급냉각 사출을 통하여 마이크로렌즈 어레이를 제작하고 특성을 이해하였다. 템플레이트의 급격한 온도상승과 고온에서의 모양이 냉각으로 인한 변형이 없도록 급속히 냉각시켜 줌으로서 마이크로렌즈 어레이의 사출성형을 구현 하였다. PC(Poly-Cabon ate)와 PMMA(Poly-Methyl-Meth-Acrylate)를 비교하여, PMMA가 낮은 용융점에 의해 성형성이 우수함을 확인하였다. 사출시 압력과 속도를 변수로 마이크로렌즈 어레이의 제작을 위한 사출조건을 도출하였다.
