  • Visual cryptography made it possible to decrypt thresholding scheme with not digital system but human vision system. This method, however, has some limit in it. Optical visual cryptography was proposed which used laser instead of human eyesight. As a result, it was possible to adapt cryptography to optical system. However, it also had some difficulties because it did not overcome the existing problem of visual cryptography completely. These problems occurred in the process of transferring data processing system from visual to optics. Therefore, it is appropriate to approach these problems in terms of optics. This paper analyzes the level of noise and the security characteristics for optical visual cryptography in terms of frequency based on joint transform correlator.

  • This paper proposes the number of Optical Network Unit (ONU) based priority scheduling mechanism over Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) to support multicast Quality of Service (QoS) for Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service. Multicast QoS is effected by the receivers' number of a packet because multicast efficiency is determined by how many receivers are received multiple copied packets. Therefore, the proposed mechanism assigns a priority with the number of ONUs to allocate high priority to IPTV services used by many people and firstly transmits a packet with high priority. By doing so, we show that the proposed mechanism support favorite IPTV services with better and stable QoS in spite of congestion.

An Effective BECN Typed QoS Guaranteeing Mechanism in Optical Burst Switching Networks (광 버스트 교환망에서 BECN 방식의 효과적인 QoS 보장 방법)

  • In recent years, WDM networks have received much attention as the Internet backbone networks because of the explosive growth of the Internet IP-based traffic. The Optical Burst Switching (OBS) has been proposed as an effective optical switching technology in the WDM networks. The OBS has the advantages in 1) the high usage rate of the bandwidth, and 2) no necessity of optical buffer. However, the OBS has the burst-contention problem in the networks. The deflection routing is proposed as one of means to solve this problem. In this paper, we propose a new routing method to minimize burst loss in the deflection routing based networks. In addition, we propose a QoS control method using a new routing algorithm. Finally, we show the variety of the proposed methods by computer simulations.

Retrieving Phase from Single Interferogram with Spatial Carrier Frequency by Using Morlet Wavelet

  • The Morlet wavelet transform method is proposed to analyze a single interferogram with spatial carrier frequency that is captured by an optical interferometer. The method can retain low frequency components that contain the phase information of a measured optical surface, and remove high frequency disturbances by wavelet decomposition and reconstruction. The key to retrieving the phases from the low-frequency wavelet components is to extract wavelet ridges by calculating the maximum value of the wavelet transform amplitude. Afterwards, the wrapped phases can be accurately solved by multiple iterative calculations on wavelet ridges. Finally, we can reconstruct the wave-front of the measured optical element by applying two-dimensional discrete cosine transform to those wrapped phases. Morlet wavelet transform does not need to remove the spatial carrier frequency components manually in the processing of interferogram analysis, but the step is necessary in the Fourier transform algorithm. So, the Morlet wavelet simplifies the process of the analysis of interference fringe patterns compared to Fourier transform. Consequently, wavelet transform is more suitable for automated programming analysis of interference fringes and avoiding the introduction of additional errors compared with Fourier transform.

  • Submarine optical fiber cable construction consists of marine survey, PLGR(Pre Lay Grapnel Run), shore-end-work, laying the submarine optical cable. This PLGR is work to ease the cable lay safely in seabed, improve the performance of Plough and ROV (Remotely-Operated Vehicle) laying work, and protect laying equipment. This paper presents the design and implementation of real-time monitoring system for PLGR work in submarine optical fiber cable construction enterprise. In this paper, we designe overall real-time monitoring system. For this purpose, the modules such as serial multiport communication module, real-time processing module, environment configuration module, real-time graph and a printout modules are designed and implemented. For the validity evaluation of this paper, serial multi port communication module, data parsing, realtime graph output are implemented and tested.

  • 쇠고기에서 마블링 및 살코기의 분포량은 육질 판별에 있어서 중요한 척도 중의 하나이다. 쇠고기의 분광학적 스펙트럼 및 영상 처리에 의한 쇠고기의 마블링의 분포를 측정 하였다. 쇠고기 Sample (a), (b), (c)의 광학적 측정에 의한 광의 강도 변화를 측정하였으며, 약 730nm대역에서 마블링 및 근육의 분포 변화에 따라, 광 강도의 변화를 갖는 것을 볼 수 있다. 분광법에 의해서 측정한 결과 값을 영상처리에 의한 마블링의 양을 비교하여 분광법에 의한 쇠고기의 마블링 분포량을 나타내었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 객체 추적이 가능한 쿼드콥터의 구현에 대하여 연구하였다. 드론의 안정적인 호버링 및 영상촬영을 위하여 쿼드로터의 비행원리와 PID 제어에 대한 이론을 연구하고 보다 안전한 실험환경 구성을 위한 Solution을 제시하였다. 또한 색 정보와 광흐름(Optical Flow) 기법을 공간 주파수 영역의 영상처리 방법(Nonlinear Matched Filter)과 융합하여 객체추적 하는 방법을 연구하였다.

  • 고속 대용량의 통합된 정보를 전송하기 위한 기간망(backbone network)과 가입자망(access network) 사이에는 병목 현상에 따른 congestion 문제가 불가피하다. 따라서 증가하는 가입자측의 대역폭 수요에 따라 가입자측까지 광케이블의 연결을 현실화할 수 있는 기술로서 PON(Pasive Optical Network)구조가 대두되고 있다. 본 연구는 네트워크 시뮬레이션인 OPNET을 사용하여 기존의 망과 가장 호환이 용이한 ethernet 기술을 이용한 PON 구조의 상향링크에서 ONU내에 traffic 타입에 따른 큐잉 알고리즘을 적용하여 QoS(Qualify of Service)를 보장하고자 한다.

  • We present efficient algorithms for transforming between binary images and quadtrees on the LABOR. For a binary image of size n ${\times}$ n, both algorithms run in $\theta$(1) time using n2 processors. These algorithms are optimal in the sense that the product of time and number of processors is asymptotically the same as the optimal sequential time which is $\theta$(n2).

  • 최근의 인터넷은 기하급수적으로 폭증하는 트래픽을 원활히 수용하기 위하여 광인터넷으로 급속히 전환되고 있다. 이에 따라 새롭게 제시되는 네트워크 구조를 기반으로 네트워크 설계 단계에서 구축단계까지 새로운 운용관리 체계를 필요로 한다. 광인터넷 시뮬레이션 도구는 이러한 요구사항을 효과적으로 지원할 수 있는 도구로서 네트워크 요소시스템의 기능성 검증 및 네트워크 운용성 검증 등을 제공할 수 있다. 한편 광인터넷 시뮬레이션 도구에 있어서 광인터넷의 표현 및 모델링은 주요한 요구사항 중의 하나이며 이는 DML(Domain Modeling Language) 기반의 네트워크 모델링 컴포넌트를 통하여 구성될 수 있다. DML 은 간단하면서 고급의 모델 정의 기능을 제공하고 인터넷과 같은 대규모 모델로의 확장이 용이하며 이종 엔진과의 시뮬레이션 모델교환 형식으로도 사용이 가능하므로, 광인터넷 시뮬레이션 도구에서 시뮬레이션 모델의 표현에 매우 적합하다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 광인터넷 시뮬레이션 도구에 적용 가능한 DML 기반 네트워크 모델링 컴포넌트를 설계한다.
