성형용 코어면 DLC 코팅에 의한 비구면 Glass렌즈 광학적 특성에 관한 연구 (Optical Properties of Aspheric Glass Lens using DLC Coated Molding Core)

  • 본 연구에서는 3 메가픽셀, 2.5배 줌 카메라폰 모듈용 비구면 유리렌즈 개발을 목적으로 실험계획법(DOE)을 적용하여 성형용 초경 코어의 연삭가공조건을 구하고, 이를 활용하여 비구면 Glass렌즈 성형용 초경합금(WC) 코어를 초정밀 연삭가공을 수행하였다. 또한 가공된 성형용 코어의 가공면 위에 이온증착법으로 다이아몬드상 탄소(Diamond-Like Carbon; DLC) 코팅을 수행하여 DLC 코팅이 성형용 코어의 형상정도(PV)와 표면조도(Ra)에 미치는 영향을 평가하였으며, 비구면 Glass렌즈를 동일한 조건에서 성형하여 성형렌즈의 광학적 특성을 비교하여 성형용 코어면의 DLC 코팅 효과에 대하여 검토하였다.

  • 함정용 전자광학추적장비의 센서부에서 해수면반사파에 의해 발생하게 되는 영상추적간섭 현상을 최소화하고자 전방향성, 점진적인 굴절률 및 표면 요철구조를 갖는 산화아연에 플루오르화마그네슘을 코팅한 반사방지막을 전자빔 증착 장비를 통해 제작하였다. 최적화된 산화아연에 플루오르화마그네슘을 코팅한 반사방지막은 기존의 산화아연 반사방지막과 비교하여 점진적인 굴절률 변화에 따라 표면 프레넬 반사를 최소화하고 이를 통해 전자광학추적장비의 영상추적간섭 현상을 제거하는 장점이 있다. 본 실험을 통해, 산화아연에 플루오르화마그네슘을 코팅한 반사방지막이 다양한 전자광학장비의 반사방지막으로써 적용이 가능함을 확인하였다.

Optical Absorption and Fluorescence of NADH Encapsulated Sol-Gel Silicate Gels

  • Reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) was encapsulated in transparent porous sol-gel silicate gels using by different organoalkoxysilane precursor. Characteristics optical absorption and fluorescence of NADH in the gels were examined with depending on NADH concentration and compared. Optical absorption in the aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (APTMS) gel is highest and remains constant during aging the gel. Thus, it is found that NADH in the APTMS gel is most stable and activated. On the other hand, methyltriethoxysilane (MTES) gel presents the lowest optical absorption diminishing with aging the gel. Measurable increase of fluorescence with raising the NADH concentration is observed except for the APTMS gel due to its solubility in the buffer during fluorescence measurement.

초미립자탄산칼슘이 잉크제트 인쇄품질에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Precipitated Calcium Carbonate Having a Small Particle Size on the Print Quality of an Inkjet-Grade Paper)

  • Experimental work was carried out in order to produce a novel grade of ink-jet paper that has both high print-out quality and price competitiveness. Usually, silica and PVOH has been used for ink-jet paper to design the coating layer that has a hydrophilic and micro-porous structure. However, poor rheological characteristics and low productivity of the silica-PVOH system make the price of the ink-jet paper high. The main focus of this study was replacing the conventional silica (coating pigment) PVOH (binder) coating system with the new PCC (coating pigment) cationic starch (binder) coating system, and optimizing thecoating technology associated with PPC-cationic starch system. In this study, ink-jet print quality of PCC-coated papers was compared with that of silica-coated paper. Two types of PCC were used: conventional type and colloid type. It turned out that PCC C, a conventional coating pigment, has not given a desirable result: it showed high dot reproduction, but it gave low optical density. In spite of low dot reproduction, the qualities of PCC A were comparable or superior to those of silica in optical density, color reproduction, and the uniformity of printing surface. It was also shown that the problems that are happened when the dosage level of cationic starch was too low were varied with ink-type used in each printer. However, in the case of low binder level, the produced image was widely spread resulting fromtoo low optical density of images, or from the lack of bonding ability to set ink into coating surface.

  • Dichroic beam-splitter (DBS) with polarization-maintaining took an important role in the free space quantum telecommunication tests on the Micius satellite of China. In this presentation, we designed and prepared a 50 layer polarization-maintaining DBS coating by a dual ion beam sputtering deposition (Dual-IBS) method. In order to solve a stress problem, an 18 layer special anti-reflection (AR) coating with similar physical thickness ratio was deposited on the backside. By stress compensation, the surface flatness RMS value of the DBS sample decreased from 0.341 λ (@632.8 nm) to 0.103 λ while beam splitting and polarization maintaining properties were almost kept unchanged. Further, we discussed the mechanism of film stress and stress compensation by equation deduction and found that total stress had a strong relationship with the total physical thickness and the ratio of layer materials.

  • 광섬유는 코어(Core), 클레드(Clad), 그리고 1,2차 코팅(Coating)으로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 광섬유의 코팅에 생기는 결함의 유무 및 종류와 크기를 분류하는 Vision System을 구현하였다. 전처리 과정으로, CCD Camera를 이용하여 얻은 화상에 대하여 Sobel 연산자로 경계선을 추출하고, 문턱값(Threshold Value)을 적용하여 이진 화상을 만든다. 외경 정보 추출을 위하여, 투영 정보, 수리 형태학(Mathematical Morphology)적 연산을 수행하고, 결함의 종류와 크기를 효율적으로 분류하도록 Tree Classifier를 설계하였다. 실험 결과로서 각 결함 별 오차율, 전체 오차율(Total Error Rate)등을 제시하였다.

태양 선택흡수막의 특성 분석 (Property Analysis of Solar Selective Coatings)

  • The chemical composition of the black Cr solar selective coatings electrodeposited were investigated for property analysis by using a XPS(X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy) before and after annealing in air at $300^{\circ}C{\sim}500^{\circ}C$ for 120 hours. Black Cr selective coating exposed by solar radiation for 5 months was compared with annealed sample. In addition, The Cu solar selective coatings were prepared by thermal oxidation method for low temperature application. The samples obtained were characterized by using the optical reflectance measurements by using a spectrometer. Optical properties of oxidized Cu solar coatings were solar absorptance $({\alpha}){\simeq}0.62$ and thermal emittance $({\epsilon}){\simeq}0.41(100^{\circ}C)$. In the as-prepared Cr black selective coating, the surface of the coating was found to have Cr hydroxide and Cr. The Cr hydroxide of the major component was converted to $Cr_2O_3$ or $CrO_3$ form after annealing at $500^{\circ}C$ with the desorption of water molecules. The black Cr selective coating was degraded significantly at temperature of $500^{\circ}C$. The main optical degradation modes of this coating were diffusion of Cu substrate materials.
