  • This paper supposes the vector control algorithm to estimate the rotor position of permanent magnet synchronous traction motor using the hall-effect sensor. The hall-effect provides 60 electrical degrees resolution in rotor position sensing and it is very low resolution. The algorithm makes resolution high as optical encoders or electromagnetic resolver. If necessary, the reference rotor position angle is controlled by adjusting the variable. When a rotor position sensor such as either a optical encoder or a electromagnetic resolver is misalignment, it is useful to align with those. The method on adjusting the reference rotor position angle can compensate for misalignment error degrees by 60 electrical degrees.

  • PSD(Position Sensitive Detector)를 위치센서로 사용하여 광학적 자동촛점 장치를 구성하여 그 특성을 조사하였다. 본 연구는 광 리소그라피 장비인 KrF 엑사이머 레이저 스템퍼를 모델로 개발 하였다. 광원으로 780nm인 반도체 레이저를 사용하였으며, 시준기, 반사경, 렌즈 등을 사용한 광학계를 구성하여 위치신호(position error signal)를 측정 하였으며, 분해능은 $0.03{\mu}m$이었다.

  • In fact, in order to obtain good performances and low torque ripple, a high-resolution sensor is needed, which is costly and usually needs a special construction for the machine. So researchers are becoming aware of their cost and are exploring the possibility of cost reduction. Information of rotor position is necessary to drive Linear Switched Reluctance Motor(LSRM). Therefore, linear optical encoder is used to detect a mover position. Normally, since the price of encoder, which is used for linear motor is relatively higher than the one used for rotory motor and the cost of additional equipment increases with the length of motor. This is not always appropriate, considering economical efficiency in case of using the linear optical encoder. As a results, LSRM has a great part for the total cost. Therefore, in this paper, we propose LSRM position detecting modeling with reflective type photo-sensor. Additionally, we have investigated the possibility of the reduced position sensor for LSRM drives with advanced control technique. To certify the overall characteristics of the proposed method, a simulation using PSIM software has been carried out and the informative results are displayed.

  • Position estimation of a sound source based on time difference of arrival at an array of three acousto-optic sensors is introduced. Each sensor consists of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer including a sensing part in one arm that is a piece of fiber surrounded by membrane in order to enhance the acousto-optic effect. Estimation error of a recorded gunshot sound signal was evaluated with the theoretically calculated values for two different locations.

  • Absolute position sensors are widely used in machine tools and precision measuring instruments because measurement errors are not accumulated, and position measurements can be performed without initialization. The laser speckle-based absolute position sensor, in particular, has advantages in terms of simple system configuration and high measurement accuracy. Unlike traditional absolute position sensors, it does not require an expensive physical length scale; instead, it uses a laser speckle image database to measure a moving surface position. However, there is a problem that a huge database is required to store information in all positions on the surface. Conversely, reducing the size of the database also decreases the accuracy of position measurements. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new method to measure the surface position with high precision while reducing the size of the database. We use image stitching and approximation methods to reduce database size and speed up measurements. The absolute position error of the proposed method was about 0.27 ± 0.18 ㎛, and the average measurement time was 25 ms.

  • The Non-Contact Optical Sensor using the Hologram Laser for CD Pickup was developed to measure a shape of transparent objects and shown a good performance. Therefore the problems caused by the contact sensor are solved by using the Non-Contact Sensor. The Non-Contact Sensor has to move toward the objects and obtain the Focus Error Signal to measure a position of transparent objects. However, if the distance between the sensor and the object is shorter than the working distance of the objective lens, the sensor will be collided against the objects. In this paper we proposed a new algorithm to estimate the start position of the Focus Error Signal to solve the problems of collision between the sensor and the objects. In addition, we verified that the algorithm is free from the collision in the real time measurement.

가시광통신을 이용한 로봇 위치확인 시스템 (Position Detection System of Robot by using Visible Light Communication (VLC))

  • 본 논문에서는 이동 로봇의 위치 추정을 위해 LED를 이용한 가시광 통신에 의해 로봇의 위치를 확인하고 광센서를 이용하여 로봇의 이동 경로를 추정하는 시스템을 제작 하였다. 제작된 위치확인 시스템은 외부 빛인 태양광과 형광등의 영향은 없었으며, 실험에 사용된 4개의 LED는 다른 신호를 전송하므로 로봇의 위치를 확인할 수 있었고, 광센서를 사용하여 로봇의 이동경로를 실시간으로 추적 할 수 있음을 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.

용접접합부의 형상계측을 위한 주사형 시각센서의 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design of Visual Sensor Using Scanning Beam for Shape Recognition of Weld Joint.)

  • A visual sensor consisted of polygonal mirror, laser, and CCD camera was proposed to measure the distance to the weld joint for recognizing the joint shape. To scan the laser beam of the sensor onto an object, 8-facet polygonal mirror was used as the rotating mirror. By locating the laser and the camera at axi-symmetrical positions around the mirror, the synchronized-scan condition could be satisfied even when the mirror was set to rotate through one direction continuously, which could remove the inertia effect of the conventional oscillating-mirror methods. The mathematical modelling of the proposed sensor with the optical triangulation method made it possible to derive the relation between the position of an image on the camera and the one of a laser light on the object. Through the geometrical simulation of the proposed sensor with the principal of reflection and virtual image, the optical path of a laser light could be predicted. The position and direction of the CCD camera were determined based on the Scheimpflug's condition to fit the focus of any image reflected from an object within the field of view. The results of modelling and simulation revealed that the proposed visual sensor could be used to recognize the weld joint and its vicinity located within the range of the field of view and the resolution.   • We develop jumping ring system with sensor and control system using dynamic neural networks. Jumping ring, sensor and control system are controlled by 586 PC using Turbo C program. Sensor system is composed of 20 optical sensors and encoder. The control circuits are consisted of thyristor, FET and phase controller. A/D converter and optical sensor acquire real time motion data of the jumping ring system. The information of acquired jumping ring Position is estimated by using dynamic neural networks. Estimated control signals are sent to control circuits and D/A converter to track desired position of the jumping ring system. Experiment results are given to verify that proposed dynamic controller is useful in real jumping ring system.

슈도 랜덤 코드와 기하학 코드를 이용한 광학적 Angle Sensor (Opticla Angle Sensor Using Pseudorandom-code And Geometry-code)

  • Absolute optical angle 센서는 디지털 광학 장치의 핵심적인 부분이라고 말할 수 있으며, 이 장치의 목적은 Pseudorandom-code와 Geometry-code를 이 용하여 코드화된 원판(coded disk)의 상대적/절대적 변위 (Relative/Absolute angle position)를 해결하기 위함이다. 이 기술에서 디스크의 각 위치(Angular position)는 먼저 Pseudorandom-code에 의해 "Coarse" angle이 검출되어 결정되어지며, 그런 다음 Geometry-code의 Pixel 계산에 의해서 얻어지는 "Fine" angular position 데이터는, 7㎛의 Line image 센서를 사용 시, 시스템의 0.006°분해능 결과를 구할 수 있다. 제안된 기술은 비접촉 반사 특성, 시스템의 높은 분해능, 상대적으로 간단한 코트 패턴 그리고 센서의 고유한 디지털 성질을 갖는 등 많은 면에서 새로운 방식이다 더 나아가서 시스템은 두 개의 코드화된 원판에 적용하여 얻어진 절대 자의 변형(Absolute angular displacement)을 관찰하는 방식으로 쉽게 토크 센서로 변경할 수 있다. 제안된 센서의 디지털 광전 특성은 토크와 각을 동시에 측정함으로써 자동 차량 시스템에 사용 시 이상적인 시스템을 만든다. 본문에서는 코드화된 원판의 정확한 각 위치(Angular position)를 결정하기 위하여 Pseudo random-code와 Geometry-code를 활용한 기술을 제안하며, 아이디어의 실행 가능성을 구현하는 실험 결과를 제시하였다.
