Wastewater process models are the essential tools for understanding relevant aspects of wastewater treatment system. Wastewater process modeling provides more options for upgrades and better understanding of new plant design, as well as improvements of operational controls. The software packages (BioWin, GPS-X, Aqua designer, etc) solve a series of simulated equations simultaneously in order to propose several solutions for a specific facility. Research and implementation of wastewater process modeling in combination with computational fluid dynamics enable testing for improvements of flow characteristics for WWTP and at the same time exam biological, physical, and chemical characteristics of the flow. Application of WWTP models requires broad knowledge of the process and expertise in modeling. Therefore, an efficient and good modeling practice requires both experience and set of proper guidelines as a background.

This paper presents the modeling and simulation studies, using PSCAD/EMTDC, for the operation of DR(Distributed Resources) connected to the power system. In this study, we model the DR operated in parallel with the distribution system and simulate several operation modes of DR. This article reviews the art and practice of strategic management process in hospitals today, in order to help hospital administrators for managing strategic management system in their hospitals. The strategic management process model in this article is based on an integrated approach combining traditional environmental model with resource-based model of strategy. The components of the model are consisted of five steps: (1)formulating objectives, strategic assessment by external environmental analysis, internal capability analysis, TOWS analysis and marketing audit, (3)strategy choice considering context and criteria of choice, (4)program implementation through operational planning, resource allocation, and conversion, and (5)control by monitoring and evaluating hospital outputs. This article deals with many aspects of issues inherent in every step on this strategic management process.

Korean government is carrying out educational training program for the competencies of the construction engineers. However, this training program is insufficient to take advantage of the practice. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the satisfaction and problems of educational programs at training graduates. And we have suggested the improvement directions of educational program. The results of this study, satisfaction of training programs for construction engineers generally was investigated highly. However, this has been underestimated in terms of capacity-building abroad. And there are operational problems including lack of educational programs using in construction site, lack of training program courses in few work sector and lack of graded training program. Therefore, we have proposed the development direction of training program for construction engineers to solve this problem.

An organizational performance measurement practice is a function of performance measurement system and performance management system they are currently employing, and its quality is determined by evaluating the followings in a comprehensive manner: first, if they are measuring right things; second, if they are measuring in a right way; third, if they are actively facilitating a process of data collection, structuring, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination; and fourth, if they are using performance measurement results for the primary purposes of performance measurement. This study proposes a diagnostic framework for evaluating the performance measurement practices of public broadcasting which include the qualities of performance measurement and performance management, and develop a structured questionnaire for that purpose. The framework proposed in this study does not serve only as a useful tool for public broadcasting to revise their respective performance measures and performance measurement systems, but it also make their respective performance measurement practices a strategic management tool as well as an operational management one.

Three-dimensional rigid-plastic finite element analysis has been performed to optimize open die forging process to make round bar. In the round bar forging, it is difficult to optimize process parameters in the operational environments. Therefore in this study, finite element method is used to analyze the practice of open die forging, focusing on the effects of reduction, feeding pitch and rotation angle for optimal forging pass designs. The soundness of forging process has been estimated by the smoothness and roundness of the bar at various combination of feeding pitches and rotation angles. From the test result, process conditions to make round bar having precise dimensional accuracy have been proposed.

This paper examines the industry field training education model, analyze the operational status proposed improvement measures. Data were analyzed using a field training participating students participating industry last three years. On the other hand analysis field training participating students increased, industry participation has decreased. And most of the students took part in the seasonal short-term job training. In addition, it was difficult to analyze the employment status field training operations follow-up member. In this paper, a field training operations support system management models and practical training courses organized field trips how to improve. Field training operations support will be strengthened through the work associated with the company expanding participation model introduced and is expected to increase in the long-term practical training, students participate in field training system improvement. Run the job training Improvement in future research presented in this paper attempts to analyze the students' employment status and results of operations involved.

The LED light source has many excellent advantages for the application of LCD backlight module. As we know, the operational temperature can significantly influence the characteristics of LEDs. Heat can damage the LED 's quality, and decrease its lifetime and output light intensity. In this paper, we perform computer software, Flomerics CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), to simulate heat distribution of the 20.1" LED backlight module we designing, and realize how the different heat sinks can solve the serious heat problem in practice.

A Shared Services center (SSC) is created by removing common administrative functions from operational divisions within an organization, and centralizing the functions in a separate centre. SSC helps supporting organizations to focus on core activities and to achieve cost reduction as well as service quality enhancement. In contrast to many leading global companies which has been adopted SSCs from early 90's. A Company's HR SSC which has opened this year is the first genuine SSC practice in Korea. Centering on the case of A Company' s HR SSC implementation, we discussed on some practical implications for companies which has future plan to introduce a shared service center.

^x This paper focuses on clarifying the diverse conceptions of landscape, of which ambiguity gives rise to confusion to the theory and practice of landscape architecture. Landscape in the form of landscipe has once indicated land, a defined space or a humanized environment, cultivated and inhabited for the purpose of biological sustenance of ordinary people. With the advent of landschap(landscape) painting, its concept moved from the real world to the scenery, a prospect, 'a portion of earth's surface that can be seen at once by a man who is himself upon the surface. 'Once appeared, it remained as a central concept until the 19th century when the modern land-scape architecture, which claims to stand for the democratic planning and environmental design, emerged. However, it still survives as the most popular concept :a landscape is a man-made, beautiful scene. To the contrary, the geographers hold that a landscape is not an actual scene viewed by a particular observer, but is a generalization induced from the observation of many individual scene. Since it is not only very attractive to the general public, but also very important to the designers, scholars and artists, operational definitions of landscape are urgently needed.
