  • Multi-purpose freight car is very useful to overcome the unbalance between freight demand and freight car supply. it means removable container is the auxiliary device to make flat car and container and it will be able to transport the container and flat freight. The study is analyzed the freight car operation frequency and freight volume and researched the efficient operation plan. The multi-purpose freight car will contribute in improved the seasonal and the item demand fluctuation and solved the problem of decrease utilization of the open freight car.

  • From '1994 Gwacheon accident of the Electric Multiple Unit(EMU)' till '2004 Seoul subway 2 lines Guui station accident', the accident is increasing at day and the service demand of the citizen is coming to be various. But it does not deal with technical or operation side demands. There is a possibility of saying that the accident of the EMU or deficit operation is caused by the RCM. The EMU where the efficiency is good though does the time passes and it becomes old anger and does not display that efficiency not only the cause of formation accident does becomes. The breakdown about under occurring before getting up an accident, appropriately shifting the parts is to a maintenance very the pending question fact which is important is a possibility of doing. From there is by an EMU, RCM in reliability base grudge is a tool of confirms an improvement point and the place where it judges. From the research which it sees will present about technical development plan of RCM.

  • Presented in this paper is a scheduling method for semiconductor backend process considering the backward pegging. It is known that the pegging for frontend is a process of labeling WIP lots for target order which is specified by due date, quantity, and product specifications including customer information. As a result, it gives the release plan to meet the out target considering current WIP. However, the semiconductor backend process includes the multichip package and test operation for the product bin portion. Therefore, backward pegging method for frontend can't give the release plan for backend process in semiconductor. In this paper, we suggest backward pegging method considering the characteristics of multichip package and test operation in backend process. And we describe the backward pegging problem using the examples.

  • Recently a new version of PRO-LOCA program was released. Using the program, failure probability of pipes can be evaluated considering fatigue and/or stress corrosion crack growth and the effects of various parameters on the integrity of pipes in nuclear power plants can be evaluated quantitatively. The analysis results can be used to establish an inspection plan and to examine the effects of important parameters in a maintenance plan. In this study, sensitivity analyses were performed using the program for several important parameters including sampling method, initial crack size, number of initial fabrication flaws, operation temperature, inspection interval, operation temperature and nominal applied bending stress. The effect of parameters on the leak and rupture probability of pipes was evaluated due to fatigue or stress corrosion crack growth.

  • Korea Aerospace Research Institute has developed an earth observation satellite and it was launched into its orbit in 2012 by using a foreign commercial launch vehicle. The launch site authority has imposed safety requirements to the spacecraft developer to ensure the safety of the personnel and to protect launch vehicle, spacecraft and facilities from accidents associated with the satellite operation at the launch site. This paper describes the range safety activities implemented for the satellite and supporting equipments during the whole phase of their design, manufacturing/test and operation at the launch site. To ensure the integrated requirements for safety management and design, system safety program plan has been developed. And based upon the plan, spacecraft developer conducted hazard analysis to identify and establish safety requirements to reflect in designs, procedures, operations. The result of the hazard analysis has been complied into safety data packages and it was reviewed by launch site review board at the safety reviews and finally it was approved to launch.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the phenomenon of agricultural management transfer and to present a plan to activate Korean management transfer through institutional consideration. To this end, the domestic and overseas agricultural management transfer system was identified, and an appropriate institutional plan for the country was sought. There are six ways to activate the management transfer system proposed in this study. First, establishment of an agricultural management transfer agency, second, training and utilization of management transfer experts, third, establishment of an agricultural succession certification support institution, fourth, operation of specialized training courses for management transfer, fifth, (local government) linked operation of a farming support center, sixth, agricultural management transfer legislation and securing of budgets. The above agricultural management transfer system is expected to contribute to the advancement of management transfer activation.

  • Recently the train indusrty come to the fore because of Punctual, eco-friendly transportation system and becoming the main transportation. The construction plans for the trian depot for train's maintenance and storage increase constantly. For past few years, there were many construction plans, Bubal train depot, Gwangju train depot, Duckha train depot. Proper track distribution plan is important to carry out the design of railway depot for efficient maintenance operation and train storage. Through the proper design of track distribution plan, we can shorten the moving time, train movement distance, waiting time in train depot. In this paper, the verification of the track distribution plan's efficiency and appropriateness for railway depot as Bubal train depot's plan is studied and analyzed with the train depot management simulation program-Posrail(v1.0).

  • The systems engineering (SE) process shall be applied to the project for successful development of ultra-high-speed (UHS) Maglev train system which is one of very large and complex systems. It is important to abolish technology differentials from the advanced developers such as Germany, Japan, etc. and to ensure discriminatory competitiveness of the application of systems engineering process for the development of the system based on appropriate concepts and requirements. General operation concept and stakeholder's requirements of UHS Maglev train system must be elicited with system concept for initiating the project. The management plan should be devised for all sorts of systems engineering activities of risk management, performance management, lifecycle cost management, etc. This paper would support to establish the systems engineering management plan (SEMP) for the program of UHS Maglev train system development with associated documents.

  • The uncertainty of long term electricity plan consists of the uncertainty of demand forecast and additional generating capacity. Demand forecast is clearly improved the accuracy than the past through improving forecasting methods. However, the uncertainty of additional generating capacity is increased due to the change of market environment. In an operation by a sole utility, additional generating capacity would be possible by the regulation of government. Currently the generation companies have spined off from KEPCO and some IPPs participate the electricity market. It increases the uncertainty due to weakened regulation. Also the environment movement by NGOs and occurrence of civil affairs cause the increase of uncertainty. This research would analyze the current situation on the uncertainty of additional generating capacity and construction delays. Furthermore this research would present the plan to reflecting it in long term electricity plan.

  • As RAMS becomes an international trend in the railroad industry, it is also generalized in the domestic railroad industry. This research is performed to present a criterion of the RAMS plan for the next generation high speed rolling stock. The criterion is developed based on IEC62278(EN50126), the international standard for railroad RAMS and CLC/TR 50126-2, 3, the guide to the application of IEC 62278. It is necessary for the export of the rolling stock. The criterion describes the RAMS targets and the contents to be included in the RAMS plan to meet the RAMS targets. Through developing the RAMS plan, we can identify RAMS activities and documents to be done in the total life cycle which includes design, manufacture and operation. It will help to accomplish synthetically the system targets of the next generation high speed rolling stock.
