This paper shares our project management experience in the 2 large-scale projects in managing a diverse international project team of consultants and managing in a foreign land. The first part introduces the two projects, second part addresses management of the projects and the last portion presents some of the challenges we experienced and highlights the importance of understanding the peculiarities of the operating environment, their norms, cultures, effectiveness and limitations of conventional project management tools while operating in a foreign country.

Recently, the need for real-time systems which are providing various types of information that occur in large quantities in IoT environment is increasing. In this paper, we propose a middleware system which can monitor in real time on a web environment. The proposed system is designed to be integrated by using communication functions provided by a network operating system and external sensors. The proposed system is compared with an existing system and analysed by the server performance testing tool.

The current network environment is composed of heterogeneous H/W and S/W resources. Integrating CSCW applications in such heterogeneous environments is highly complex. This paper describes the design and implementation of ASS (application sharing server) which supprot sharing of a single application between different operating systems. The ASS supports cooperative work among user group using its own window system (X-windwo or MS-windwos). We adopted improved managing heavy-weight data. ASS also provides development environment for vaious groupware application.

Currently the train operating environment to affect track irregularity is changed rapidly such as speed-up, linear improvement and rolling stack upgrade. The recent track maintenance criteria of track irregularity was quoted from past Japan's, and the needs of revision of criteria are increased because of the rapid change in train operating environment. In case of enhance the track irregularity criteria, it secure driving safety and riding comfort but maintenance cost are increase. And also decrease ballast durability by frequent corrective work. In case of mitigate the criteria, it decrease driving safety and riding comfort, but save the maintenance cost. The study for enacting rational criteria did not carry out so far. In this study, survey the domestic and international track irregularity and case study for track irregularity inspection results and maintenance history for guideline of enacting irregularity criteria study.

There is no agreed definition of intelligence. The ability to adapt to the environments is a kind of intelligence. Expert functionally recognize environment using their five senses, and acquire and memorize knowledge necessary for operating machines. Knowledge that they cannot acquire directly is acquired in indirect ways. The purpose of intelligence machines is applying to machines experts' knowledge acquisition process and their skills in operating machine. An agent is an autonomous process that recognizes external environment, exchanges knowledge with external machines and performs an autonomous decision-making function in order to achieve common goals. This paper describes agent application for intelligence machine.

Failure rate serves as a pivotal role in reliability study. When the system operates, failure datum of the system reflects the actual operating environment. Therefore, when we estimate the system's with the component failure data, we can find the more exact failure rate that reflected the system's operating environment. In this paper, we use the components' fault data and find out failure rate.

In this paper, the interference avoidance performance of the RFID reader with the compressive receiver was analyzed. In the environment of the multiple dense readers operating, the recognition rates of the conventional RFID reader and the proposed RFID reader with the compressive receiver were measured and compared. The recognition rate of the proposed reader was improved more than 2.7 times compared to the conventional reader. Especially, in the environment of two proposed RFID readers operating simultaneously, little degradation of the recognition rate was observed.

In small embedded systems including IoT devices, memory size is very small and it is important to reduce memory amount for execution of application programs. For multi-threaded applications, stack may consume a large amount of memory because each thread has its own stack of sufficiently large size for worst case. This paper presents an implementation of single stack multi-threading, called SSThread (Single Stack Thread), by sharing a stack for all threads to reduce stack memory size. By using SSThread, multi-threaded applications can be programmed based on normal C language environment and there is no requirement of transporting multi-threading operating systems. It consists of several library functions and various C macro definitions. Even though some functional restrictions in comparison to operating systems supporting complete multi-thread functionalities, it is very useful for small embedded systems with tiny memory size and it is simple to setup programming environment for multi-thread applications.

We need general developing environment to control robot with effect but less energy. So, software and hardware tools are very important. In this paper, we present a general-purpose robot control language and its implementation on Real Time O/S and VME bus system. The system runs on the VMEexec Real Time Operating System and robot program is written in the "C" language. The developed program is linked with the robot control C library io produce an executable image. Under the developed robot control environment, the user can write a general high-level control program leaving all the specific information about the robot in a robot specific file.ific file.

Nowadays, the change of the social structure such as the elderly society and the broken traditional family conception is progressing rapidly. The social change produced a lot of problems, and the welfare from among these is the urgent problem. The welfare for the aged is very important problem in an aging society. The changes of industrial and economic structures also caused the increase of double-income families. The numbers of schoolchildren decreased rapidly because of the low birth and elderly society. So, many idle spaces of existing school facilities have emerged, and these left spaces is being blamed for the fiscal waste. If these idle spaces were used for the welfare-facilities, it will be of assistant to solve the problem about welfare and use the school facilities effectively. And then, the big profit from these enterprises can be used for the better welfare for education.
