With the gradual advancement of IT, passive work processes are automated and the overall quality of life has greatly improved. This is made possible by the formation of an organic topology between a wide variety of real-life smart devices. To serve these diverse smart devices, businesses or users are using the cloud. The services in the cloud are divided into Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS). SaaS runs on PaaS, and PaaS runs on IaaS. Since IaaS is the basis of all services, an algorithm is required to operate virtualization resources efficiently. Among them, desktop resource virtualization is used for resource high availability of unused state time of existing desktop PC. Clustering of hierarchical structures is important for high availability of these resources. In addition, it is very important to select a suitable algorithm because many clustering algorithms are mainly used depending on the distribution ratio and environment of the desktop PC. If various attempts are made to find an algorithm suitable for desktop resource virtualization in an operating environment, a great deal of power, time, and manpower will be incurred. Therefore, this paper proposes a resource clustering simulator for cluster selection of desktop virtualization. This provides a clustering simulation to properly select clustering algorithms and apply elements in different environments of desktop PCs.
Most of researchers and business futurists agree that traditional organizational designs are inadequate for coping with today's turbulent and increasingly networked world. Executives in small firms find that their organizations must tap into an extended network of partners to achieve the scale and power needed to succeed in industries dominated by large, global firms. As they attempt to build lean yet agile businesses, these executives are finding that they no longer rely on gut instinct alone. Neither can they simply copy organizational model that worked in the past. They must understand how organizational design choices influence operational efficiency and flexibility and, even more important, how to best align the organization with the environment and the strategy chosen to quickly and effectively sense and respond to opportunities and threats This research examines the capabilities required to build businesses that can survive and prosper in today's fast-faced and uncertain environment. The insights presented in this research have emerged from over 30 years of work with hundreds of executives and entrepreneurs as they struggled to build businesses that could cope with the demands of a rapidly changing, networked global economy. The insights from this research suggest that IT is an important enabler for developing the best capabilities required for success.

When the fouling of a vessel occurs, its resistance at sea increases and there is a corresponding increase in fuel consumption. The maintenance cost of the vessel also increases because it is time-consuming to remove the fouling. To solve this problem and minimize environmental contamination of sea-water, there have been recent developments in anti-fouling paints as self-polishing copolymers that not include toxic elements such as tin. When these conventional techniques are applied to vessels, polishing is promoted during the operation whereby friction or vibration with seawater occurs. This leads to enhanced anti-fouling performance. However, when fouling is intensified such as during an anchorage, there is no flow of seawater and polishing is suppressed. This leads to a deterioration of the performance of anti-fouling. To solve these problems, we developed a system that induces vibration in a vessel during anchorage. As such, the deterioration of polishing due to insuf icient flow of seawater is inhibited. The reliability of the ultrasonic antifouling system was evaluated by calculating its repeatability. The removal efficiency of fouling of the proposed system was qualitatively evaluated using test specimens. The test revealed that the value of the coefficient of variation for the reproducibility of the frequency and amplitude was 0.2 % and 4.0 % on average. The degree of fouling of the specimens was the highest at 73.3 g in the No.5 sepcimen. Moreover, efficiency of fouling removal was 93.2 % on average compared to the specimens without the proposed system.

With the advancement of IT technology, the amount of data generated has been growing exponentially every year. As an alternative to this, research on distributed systems and in-memory based big data processing schemes has been actively underway. The processing power of traditional big data processing schemes enables big data to be processed as fast as the number of nodes and memory capacity increases. However, the increase in the number of nodes inevitably raises the frequency of failures in a big data infrastructure environment, and infrastructure management points and infrastructure operating costs also increase accordingly. In addition, the increase in memory capacity raises infrastructure costs for a node configuration. Therefore, this paper proposes an in-memory-based hybrid big data processing scheme for improve the big data processing rate. The proposed scheme reduces the number of nodes compared to traditional big data processing schemes based on distributed systems by adding a combiner step to a distributed system processing scheme and applying an in-memory based processing technology at that step. It decreases the big data processing time by approximately 22%. In the future, realistic performance evaluation in a big data infrastructure environment consisting of more nodes will be required for practical verification of the proposed scheme.
Developed countries have developed indicators of quality of life and are using them as indicators of policy decisions, and Korea is also developing and operating indicators of people's quality of life. One of them is a lifestyle-oriented SOC, a policy that aims to improve the quality of life of the people by improving living infrastructure. This study aims to focus on subjective happiness among people's quality of life. The elderly are a relatively marginalized class in the national policy, and this study aims to analyze the effects of the elderly's residential environment on quality of life, housing satisfaction, and happiness. The purpose of this study is to provide useful implications for urban planning and related policy making by examining the structural relationship of whether the individual-environmental fit perceived by the elderly affects housing satisfaction and subjective happiness, and by analyzing the mediating effect between housing satisfaction and subjective happiness. As a result of the study, it was found that convenience, comfort, and public welfare of personal-environment suitability affect housing satisfaction and subjective happiness, and housing satisfaction affects subjective happiness. Also, it was analyzed that housing satisfaction had a mediating effect in the relationship between comfort, public welfare, and subjective feeling of happiness.

The purpose of this study is to provide an environment that can support the development of the virtual asset industry. The limiting factors and countermeasures currently possessed by the virtual asset industry were considered in terms of legal and institutional aspects, technical aspects, and market aspects.Small businesses classified as virtual asset operators have difficulty meeting the government's requirements.Accordingly, SMEs with insufficient funds and manpower are withdrawn from the market, creating an environment where only large-scale enterprises with capital power survive.It is difficult to develop desirable technologies and markets in the virtual asset technology industry. In addition, small and medium-sized companies may be expelled from the market, causing damage to current users. Therefore, in terms of legal and institutional aspects, there is a lack of an exact scope of virtual asset providers, and thus it is necessary to respond to the controversial elements of virtual asset providers. In terms of technology, it is necessary to cope with the slowdown of the P2P method, the difficulty in recovering errors, and the absence of operational experts. Therefore, technology standardization and stabilization are required, and efforts must be made to cultivate operational technical personnel who can support them.In terms of the market, it is necessary to prepare measures to protect users of virtual assets and to establish countermeasures for companies operating virtual assets against weak user protection, inadequate application of the AML method, and limitations of taxation. This study is expected to contribute to active utilization support or related policies in the virtual asset industry.
The method of selecting an existing flood hazard area via a numerical model requires considerable time and effort. In this regard, this study proposes a method for selecting flood vulnerable areas through topographic analysis based on a surface runoff mechanism to reduce the time and effort required. Flood vulnerable areas based on runoff mechanisms refer to those areas that are advantageous in terms of the flow accumulation characteristics of rainfall-runoff water at the surface, and they generally include lowlands, mild slopes, and rivers. For the analysis, a digital topographic map of the target area (Seoul) was employed. In addition, in the topographic analysis, eight topographic factors were considered, namely, the elevation, slope, profile and plan curvature, topographic wetness index (TWI), stream power index, and the distances from rivers and manholes. Moreover, receiver operating characteristic analysis was conducted between the topographic factors and actual inundation trace data. The results revealed that four topographic factors, namely, elevation, slope, TWI, and distance from manholes, explained the flooded area well. Thus, when a flood vulnerable area is selected, the prioritization method for various factors as proposed in this study can simplify the topographical analytical factors that contribute to flooding.
This study is for analyzing the management performances of Korean tourism firms, which have been operating as preparing strategically against FTA, one of the most importantly external environment in international management since in the middle of 1990s. The main purpose can be mentioned to test empirically some relations between the management performances of Korean tourism ones and the levels of understanding and preparing against FTA. In detail speaking, the dependent variables of management performances are classified with sales, profits and management satisfaction, while the independent ones regarding with FTA are sorted based on the previous studies with the 2 following factors like understanding/preparing of managers and one of workers in a firm. This study is conducted in two stages. Firstly, the research model is designed by the reviewing relevant theories, previous studies. Secondly, the survey of Korean tourism enterprises engaging in management activities in Korea is implemented by collecting questionnaires. And for testing the hypothesis, the analyzing tools are being used for correlation, reliability, validity and multi regression on SPSS 12.0 for windows and finally the path analysis of structural equation modeling is activated with AMOS 7.0 for windows.
In this paper, active noise control was performed to reduce radiated noise in the low frequency band of dishwashers. First, through an analysis of the noise environment of the dishwasher, it was confirmed that the pump noise contributed the most to the radiated noise in the low frequency band, From the result of the noise environment analysis, the reference signal was selected to be the vibration signal of the pump body. The reference signal was obtained by using the accelerometer on the pump body, which can prevent acoustic feedback. The error signal sensor was selected as a microphone located at 1 m in front of the dishwasher and 0.5 m in height. And to design the controller, the error signal and the reference signal were measured at the operational rpms of the dishwasher at 2,500 rpm, 2,600 rpm and 2,800 rpm, and the secondary path transfer function was measured. The designed controller was mounted on Digital Signal Processor (DSP) equipment, and the control performance was verified experimentally. As a result of the measurement at the 3 operational rpms, the 7th multiple component of pump operating frequency decreased by 1.93 dB, 4.43 dB, 5.15 dB per rpm, and the 12th multiple component decreased by 6.67 dB, 2.34 dB, 4.28 dB per rpm. And overall Sound Pressure Level (SPL) decreased by 0.84 dB, 2.58 dB, 1.48 dB by rpm.

Recently, the demand for liquefied gas has been increasing for various reasons, including environmental problems, and as a result, transportation of liquefied gas through a ship is increasing, and several terminals are also being constructed to accommodate it. The size of the terminal to be constructed shall follow the result if the target ship is clearly determined. Otherwise, the size of the vessel that the terminal intends to accept shall be determined, and then, the dimensions of the vessel given in the regulations or standards shall be used. In this regard, it was found that the main dimensions of the proposed vessels are substantially different from those actually operating and the standard for large-sized vessels has not been established in the process of determining the size of the target vessel by using the "Port and Fishing Port Design Standards" and commentary(2017), which recently is most commonly used as port design criteria in order to construct the liquefied gas terminal. Because of these problems, a revision of the standard for the major dimensions of liquefied gas carriers was proposed through an analysis of the current status of ships in service, as there could be many differences between interested parties in determining the size of the target ships and terminals and evaluating the safety of terminals. It is expected that the proposed revision will be used as a more appropriate and realistic criterion for determining the size of ships and terminals in the future and will prevent unnecessary terminal construction costs.
