Gesture Communications Between Different Avatar Models Using A FBML (FBML을 이용한 서로 다른 아바타 모델간의 제스처 통신)

  • As a means of overcoming the linguistic barrier between different languages in the Internet cyberspace, a sign-language communication system has been proposed. However, the system supports avatars having the same model structure so that it is difficult to communicate between different avatar models. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new gesture communication system in which different avatars models can communicate with each other by using a FBML (Facial Body Markup Language). Using the FBML, we define a standard document format that contains the messages to be transferred between models, where the document includes the action units of facial expression and the joint angles of gesture animation. The proposed system is implemented with Visual C++ and Open Inventor on Windows platforms. The experimental results demonstrate a possibility that the method could be used as an efficient means to overcome the linguistic problem.

An Open Standard-based Terrain Tile Production Chain for Geo-referenced Simulation

  • The needs for digital models of real environment such as 3D terrain or cyber city model are increasing. Most of applications related with modeling and simulation require virtual environment constructed from geospatial information of real world in order to guarantee reliability and accuracy of the simulation. The most fundamental data for building virtual environment, terrain elevation and orthogonal imagery is acquired from optical sensor of satellite or airplane. Providing interoperable and reusable digital model is important to promote practical application of high-resolution satellite imagery. This paper presents the new research regarding representation of geospatial information, especially for 3D shape and appearance of virtual terrain. and describe framework for constructing real-time 3D model of large terrain based on high-resolution satellite imagery. It provides infrastructure of 3D simulation with geographical context. Web architecture, XML language and open protocols to build a standard based 3D terrain are presented. Details of standard-based approach for providing infrastructure of real-time 3D simulation using high-resolution satellite imagery are also presented. This work would facilitate interchange and interoperability across diverse systems and be usable by governments, industry scientists and general public.

  • Web services (WS) present a new promising software technology, which provides application-to-application interaction. They are built on the top of existing web protocol and based on open XML standards. Web services are described using WSDL, and the UDDI is a integration directory provide registry of Web Services descriptions. WSDL provides information of Web Services but it is getting more and more important to know more than those provided by WSDL. From WSDL we can not get the information like usage of WS, performance of WS, complexity of WS, usability of WS with other web service. In this paper, we proposed a new method for Web Services so called Public Web Services Analyzer (PWSA). This technique is based on analyzing various public UDDI registries in order to get various kinds of statistics of web services. Those statistics will be used by both web services developers and consumers for finding them suitable services for their needs. PWSA guarantees that it can provide enough information to find right web services for both Web Services Consumers and Web Service Developers.

  • Virtual Reality simulation enables immersive 3D experience of a Virtual Environment. A simulation-based VE can be used to map real world phenomena into virtual experience. This research studies on the use of Newton's physics law to demonstrate the effects of forces upon object's falling movement, and their effects towards other fallible objects. A reconfigurable simulation enables users to reconfigure the parameters of the objects involved in the simulation, so that they can see different effects from the different configurations, such as force magnitude and distance between objects. This concept is suitable for a classroom learning of physics law. Preliminary implementation is done on a PC with a joystick for 4DOF movement. The graphics is implemented by SGI OpenGL Performer. A middleware called NAVERLib that consists of Performer's modules for easy XML-based configuration is used for management of visualization, network and devices connection, and where the engine of this domino simulation is attached.

Forgery Detection Mechanism with Abnormal Structure Analysis on Office Open XML based MS-Word File

  • We examine the weaknesses of the existing OOXML-based MS-Word file structure, and analyze how data concealment and forgery are performed in MS-Word digital documents. In case of forgery by including hidden information in MS-Word digital document, there is no difference in opening the file with the MS-Word Processor. However, the computer system may be malfunctioned by malware or shell code hidden in the digital document. If a malicious image file or ZIP file is hidden in the document by using the structural vulnerability of the MS-Word document, it may be infected by ransomware that encrypts the entire file on the disk even if the MS-Word file is normally executed. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze forgery and alteration of digital document through internal structure analysis of MS-Word file. In this paper, we designed and implemented a mechanism to detect this efficiently and automatic detection software, and presented a method to proactively respond to attacks such as ransomware exploiting MS-Word security vulnerabilities.

  • 모바일 기술의 발달로 인해 모바일 장치를 위한 다양한 지원 모델과 응용 프로그램들이 개발되고 있다. GIS분야에서도 모바일 기술이 접목되어 모바일GIS가 등장하게 되었으며, 모바일GIS를 이용한 다양한 응용 프로그램들이 서비스되고 있다. 기존의 모바일GIS는 국립지리원에서 제공하는 DXF형식의 국가기본수치지도를 원시 데이터로 사용하였으나, 최근에는 모바일GIS에 XML(extensible Markup Language)을 적응하려는 움직임을 보이고 있다. 이를 위해서는 DXF형식의 GIS데이터를 OGC(Open Gis Consortium)에서 제안한 GML(Geography Markup Language)로 변환하기 위한 변환기를 필요로 한다. 본 논문에서는 DXF를 GML로 변환하기 위한 DXF2GML변환기의 효율적인 번역을 위해, DXF와 GML의 의미적 차이를 해결하고 효율적인 변환과정을 구현하기 위한 DXF2GML변환기의 중간코드를 제안하고자 한다. 또한 제안된 중간코드를 적용하여 DXF2GML변환기의 Front-End인 중간코드 생성기와 Back-End인 GML문서 생성기를 구현하고자 한다.

  • 최근 웹 확산에 따른 일반인들의 인터넷 이용이 급증하였고 이에 따른 정보 기술도 빠르게 변화하고 있다. GIS 분야에서도 시대의 흐름에 맞춰 공간 데이타를 웹상에서 제공하는 웹 GIS 분야가 등장하게 되었다. 그러나, 상호이질적인 공간 데이타를 웹 기반 분산 환경에서 서비스하기 위해 표준 인터페이스와 각각의 웹 서비스 모델을 정의한 통합 시스템이 요구되고 있다. OGC에서는 기존 OPenGIS의 상호운용성을 웹 환경에서 지원하고, 또한 피쳐 인스턴스 단위의 지리정보를 접근하기 위해 새로운 웹 피쳐 서비스 구현 명세를 제안하였다. 웹 피쳐 서비스 구현 명세에서는 클라이언트로부터 HTTP를 통하여 요청된 공간.비공간 질의를 처리하기 위한 URL 컴포넌트를 정의하고 있다. 이 컴포넌트는 클라이언트 질의를 수행하여 피쳐 인스턴스 단위로 데이타를 검색 및 조작하고, 검색된 데이타는 GML로 정의하여 클라이언트로 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 OGC가 제안한 XML 기반의 표준 공간 데이타 포맷인 GML과 웹 피쳐 서비스 인터페이스를 이용해 분산된 지리정보 데이타를 웹 브라우저를 통하여 서비스할 수 있는 웹 피쳐 서비스 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.

  • 이 논문의 목적은 Linux 기반의 서버/클라이언트 구조에서 IPMP 시스템을 구현하는데 있다. DRM(Digital RIghts Management)솔루션을 제공해주는 IPMP(Intellecutual Property Management and Protection)의 참조 소프트웨어인 OpenIPMP 시스템을 기반으로 하며 MPEG-21 권리표현 언어인 XML을 채용하여 새로운 미디어 서비스 환경에 적합한 웹기반 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 서비스 제공 시스템을 구현하는데 있다.

  • In traditional approach, enterprise-wide consistent security policy enforcement for applications is very difficult task. Therefore, industry is now moving towards new unified enterprise application security concept that consist of centralized authentication and authorization mechanism. The eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML); an XML-based standard defined by OASIS, is most suitable choice which can support centralized, role based, context aware access control mechanism. It is designed to provide universal standard for writing authorization policies and access control request/response language for managing access to the resources. This paper includes a brief overview on XACML and discusses its benefits, limitations and a data flow process. We propose a new generic access control architecture that supports enterprise wide centralized application level access control mechanism using XACML. The other benefits which can be achieved through this architecture are, reduce adnministration cost and complexity, support of heterogeneous computing platforms, centralized monitoring system, automatic fail over, scalability and availability, open standard based solution and secure communication.

  • AUTOSAR is a partnership of automotive manufacturers and suppliers working together to develop and establish a de-facto open industry standard for automotive software architectures. In the AUTOSAR architecture, the runtime environment is at in the heart of the AUTOSAR architecture to provides the infrastructure services that enable communication between software components and between software components and basic software components. The RTE generator is an automated generation tool for AUTOSAR specification based RTE according to the ECU configuration. It generates communication API function for the software components and the basic software components like OS and COM of the application. The availability and the accuracy of the RTE generator are important for the automobile software which is based on AUTOSAR architecture, this paper proposes an architectural design of the RTE generator for auto-generation of the AUTOSAR based RTE.
