Fault Diagnosis of 3 Phase Induction Motor Drive System Using Clustering (클러스터링 기법을 이용한 3상 유도전동기 구동시스템의 고장진단)

  • In many industrial applications, an unexpected fault of induction motor drive systems can cause serious troubles such as downtime of the overall system heavy loss, and etc. As one of methods to solve such problems, this paper investigates the fault diagnosis for open-switch damages in a voltage-fed PWM inverter for induction motor drive. For the feature extraction of a fault we transform the current signals to the d-q axis and calculate mean current vectors. And then, for diagnosis of different fault patterns, we propose a clustering based diagnosis algorithm The proposed diagnostic technique is a modified ANFIS(Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System) which uses a clustering method on the premise of general ANFIS's. Therefore, it has a small calculation and good performance. Finally, we implement the method for the diagnosis module of the inverter with MATLAB and show its usefulness.

  • In this paper, a high precision track following control algorithm is proposed for micro electrostatic actuator considering of the application for hard disk drive. The micro electrostatic actuator proposed has nonlinear voltage-displacement characteristic in a working range of 0.8.mu.m and has uni-directional movement. Mid range reference and open-loop bias are proposed for the revision of negative position error, and inverse model for linearization.

  • Electromagnetic suspension (E.M.S) type levitation system is studied in the control system design viewpoint. Dynamic characteristics in theoretical analysis as well as hardware implementation is considered. Open loop unstable, non-linear and timevarying characteristics are reviewed in the theoretcal section, while levitation control system for multi-vehicle train as well as magnet drive system is reviewed in the practical section. This paper suggests not only some well-known problem appearing in levitation control system design but also a subtle problem and solution candidates. But there exist many unmentioned problems wating for a smart problem solver.

  • A new phase shift PWM parallel-input/series-output modularized dual converter is proposed in this paper. This converter is operated with a fixed duty ratio and its output voltage is regulated by phase shift between each module. Since the operating duty ratio of each module is fixed it is sufficient to implement a simple open loop drive circuitry for each module and the cost of total system can be much reduced. The operation of the converter is analyzed in this paper and verified by computer simulation.

  • Microprocessor-based software DDA interpolator is developed and applied to two axis contouring control of X-Y table. Developed assembly program is composed of feedrate, linear and circular DDA interpolation routines. Reference-pulse type of open-loop stepping motor control system in which the micro-computer produces a sequence of reference pulses for each axis of motion is adopted. To test performance of the developed program, X-Y table drive system based on stepping motor and shaft encoder is designed. Contouring error of the system in linear and circular path is within .+-.0.2 mm.

  • This paper investigated the destruction effect of the semiconductors by impact of high power electromagnetic wave. The experiments is employed as an open-ended waveguide to study the destruction effects on semiconductor using a 2.45 GHz 600 W Magnetron as a high power electromagnetic wave. The semiconductors are located at a distance of $31cm\sim40cm$ from the open-ended waveguide and are composed of a LED drive circuit for visual discernment. Also the chip condition of semiconductor is observed by SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope) analysis. The semiconductor are damaged by high power electromagnetic wave at about 860 V/m. The SEM analysis of the destructed devices showed onchipwire and bondwire destructions. Based on the result, semiconductor devices should have plan to protect the semiconductor devices form high power electromagnetic wave. And the database from this experiment provides the basis for future investigation.

  • 재래적 자동차의 구동계통은 동력원 즉 engine이 앞에 위치하고 뒤에서 미는 순서로 되어 있다. 그러므로 engine 과 차축을 연결하는 이 축(또는 구동계통)은 engine으로 부터의 힘을 차축으로 전달하는 역할을 하며 기본적으로 비틀상태의 반성부재로서 비교적 큰 회전 insertia를 받게 된다. 구동축은 한 개 또는 그 이상의 universal joint와 solid 상태 또는 관으로 된 축으로 조립 되어 있다. 그리하여 축방향의 동작을 통해서 토오크를 전달하고 일정한 각도 또는 변화되는 각도에서 회전운동을 한다. 차축은 차체 spring을 통해서 부쳐져 있으므로 주행중 구동축은 축 방향의 길이의 변화가 있게 되며 따라서 연결돤 각동작이 일어나며 이를 위해서는 universal joint가 필요하게 되며 따라서 전륜구동차에서도 필요하다. 자동차에 적용되고 있는 구동적에는 두가지 기본형이 있는데 torque tube형 구동방법과 hotchkiss형(또는 open driveline형) 구동방 법이다. Torque tube형 구동방식은 근래에는 사라져 가고 있는데 그 주요원인은 구동계통에서 발생되는 소음이 튜브를 통해 증축 전달되며 수리비용이 비교적 큰 때문이다. 이에 비해 open driveline형의 이점은 제조원가가 낮고, 용이하게 제조할 수 있으며, 종량이 경강되며 장착하기 에도 용이한 점들이다.

  • This paper suggests the slot wedge shape for reducing the cogging torque of a gearless type direct-drive permanent magnet synchronous generator with open slot shape. To achieve this, we are designed the appropriate specifications of the permanent magnet synchronous generator by selected the appropriate material of slot wedge and various slot wedge shapes. The PMSG models were analyzed by finite element method. Finally, we have suggested appropriate material of slot wedges and its shape which has benefit to further reducing cogging torque and preventing decreasing of the generating power.

  • Recently, permanent magnet synchronous motor are applied to various applications. Because of the importance of high reliable operation in these areas, many research related to the fault detection and diagnosis of inverter system are conducted. So, a faults model for an inverter-driven permanent magnet synchronous motor is studied by using the fault current of motor according to switch open, which can be effectively used for performance evaluation of the diagnostic algorithm. And fault of the permanent magnet synchronous motor inverter drive system is divided into four types. The feasibility of the proposed method are improved by simulation and experiment.
