(1) MicroPACS의 성능을 평가하기 위해 환자 1명의 Data ($^{18}F$-FDG Torso PET/CT)를 현재 Back-up장치로 쓰이는 광 저장매체(CD, DVD-RAM)와 MicroPACS에 저장하는데 소요되는 시간(Back up time)과 workstation으로 복구되기까지의 시간(Retrieval time)을 비교해 보았다. DVD-RAM(5.13,2.26)/Conquest DICOM Server (1.49,1.19) by GE DSTE (p<0.001), CD (6.12,3.61)/Conquest (0.82,2.23) by GE DLS (p<0.001), CD (5.88,3.25)/Conquest (1.05,2.06) by SIEMENS.
The present study has been conducted to offer geometrically optimal structure of a storage tank for a regenerator, one of the components of an open-type dehumidifying and drying system using solar energy to develop an alternatives for time-limited energy such as a fossil fuel, and to decrease an environmental pollutant. Two kinds of model classified by the mixing process were suggested to estimate the amount of regeneration rate. One was the stratified-type, "case 1", a method to place an entrance in the upper part of the tank and an outlet in the lower part. The other was the mixed-type, "case 2", a method to place vice versa. Solution temperature and concentration were used to evaluate the regeneration rate. As a result, the regeneration rate was better in "case 2".
Objective signs are everywhere that the stationary energy storage market is growing up quickly. The use of distributed resources such as solar photovoltaics and electric vehicles are expanding at a rapid pace, creating technical challenges for the distribution system that will require energy storage and a new generation of software to address. This paper is intended for distribution utility managers and executives and makes the following points: ${\bullet}$ Utility-integrated (as opposed to merely grid-connected) energy storage projects represent a distinct, new wave of industry growth that is just getting underway and is required to manage distributed energy resources moving forward. ${\bullet}$ Utilities and the energy storage industry have important roles to lower risk in adopting this technology - thereby enabling this wave of growth. ${\circ}$ The industry must focus on engineering energy storage for adoption at scale - including the creation and support of software open standards -both to drive down costs and to limit technology and supplier risk for utilities. ${\circ}$ Utilities need to take a program-based, rather than a project- based, approach to this resource to best balance cost and risk as they procure and implement energy storage. By working together to drive down costs and manage risk, utilities and their suppliers can lay the energy storage foundation for a new, more digital distributed electricity system.
There are several materials for the hydrogen storage such as hydrogen storage alloy, carbon nanomaterials, non-carbon nanomaterials, compounds etc. Efficient and inexpensive hydrogen storage is an essential prerequisite for the utilization of hydrogen, one of the new and clean energy sources. Many researches have been widely performed for the hydrogen storage techniques and materials having high storage capacity and stability. In this paper, the patents concerning the carbon nanomaterial hydrogen storage method were gathered and analyzed. The search range was limited in the open patents of Korea(KR), Japan(JP), USA(US) and European Union(EP) from 1996 to 2006. Patents were gathered by using key-words searching and filtered by filtering criteria. The trends of the patents was analyzed by the years, countries, companies, and technologies.

The limited storage and computing capacity hinder the development of cognitive radio ad hoc networks (CRAHNs). To solve the problem, a new paradigm of cloud-based CRAHN has been proposed, in which a CRAHN will make use of the computation and storage resources of the cloud. This paper envisions an integrated CRAHN-cloud network architecture. In this architecture, some cognitive radio users (CUs) who satisfy the required metrics could perform as mobile gateway candidates to connect other ordinary CUs with the cloud. These mobile gateway candidates are dynamically clustered according to different related metrics. Cluster head and time-to-live value are determined in each cluster. In this paper, the gateway advertisement and discovery issues are first addressed to propose a hybrid gateway discovery mechanism. After that, a QoS-based gateway selection algorithm is proposed for each CU to select the optimal gateway. Simulations are carried out to evaluate the performance of the overall scheme, which incorporates the proposed clustering and gateway selection algorithms. The results show that the proposed scheme can achieve about 11% higher average throughput, 10% lower end-to-end delay, and 8% lower packet drop fractions compared with the existing scheme.
For optimal irrigation reservoir operation during flood and normal period, a general and systematic policy is suggested to make balance of the conflicting purposes between water conservation and flood control. We developed Open Water Management Program (OWMP) with an open architecture to deal with newly arising upgrade problems for optimal management of irrigation reservoir. And we evaluated the applicability of OWMP to estimate daily runoff from an agricultural watershed including irrigation reservoirs, and analyzed behaviour of irrigation reservoirs as irrigation water requirements considering frequency analysis of reservoir storage and frequency analysis water requirements for effective management of reservoir. When we executed OWMP with data produced from an experimental field, IHP basins, the mean relative errors of application of daily runoff and irrigation water requirement were less than 5%. We also applied OWMP to a Seongju irrigation reservoir to simulate daily runoff, storage and water requirement from 1998 to 2002, and the mean model efficiency between measured and simulated value was 0.76. Our results based on the magnitude of relative errors and model efficiency of the model simulation indicate that the OWMP can be a tool nicely adapted to the effective water management of irrigation reservoir for beneficial water use and flood disaster management.

With the recent increase in data disclosure, the Comprehensive Knowledge Archive Network (CKAN), which is an open-source data distribution platform, is drawing much attention. CKAN is used together with additional extensions, such as Datastore and Datapusher for data management and Harvest and DCAT for data collection. This study derives the problems of CKAN itself and Harvest Extension. First, CKAN causes two problems of data inconsistency and storage space waste for data deletion. Second, Harvest Extension causes three additional problems, namely source deletion that deletes only sources without deleting data themselves, job stop that cannot delete job during data collection, and service interruption that cannot provide service, even if data exist. Based on these observations, we propose herein an improved CKAN that provides a new deletion function solving data inconsistency and storage space waste problems. In addition, we present an improved Harvest Extension solving three problems of the legacy Harvest Extension. We verify the correctness and the usefulness of the improved CKAN and Harvest Extension functions through actual implementation and extensive experiments.
The purpose of this study was to examine needs of residents on the storage according to unit size in apartment. In order to achieve our goal, the questionnaire survey was used. We sampled the questionnaire surveys of 250 households in Seoul whose apartment sizes had been more than 20 pyung. The data collected by the questionnaire survey was analyzed by examining the frequency, percentage on the SPSS/PC+. The results of the study were obtained as follows: 1) In research on the actual storage condition, Residents tended to feel constraint on the storage of the season goods and the storage satisfaction on the service area was found lowest. Therefore, there needed to design the balcony more efficiently for the storage and the interior storage for the season goods. 2) In research on consciousness and attitude about the storage, residents tended to keep the goods of no use and prefered to arrange neatly rather than use conveniently. Therefore, there needed more efficient space in the balcony for the storage of the goods of no use and the closed furniture rather than the open furniture was suited for arrangement. 3) In research on the storage needs, needs for the built-in furniture in all apartment sizes showed highly and residents wanted a space for the exclusive use of the storage. In a solution, it was proposed to equip with the interior storage and the exterior cooperative storage. In the conclusion, needs of residents on the storage according to apartment size were different little. The small size apartment had the serious storage problems and wanted the efficient space plan for storage.
This study was conducted to justify the "prescribed shelf life" currently used in Samsung Medical Center and give recommendations based on scientific data to adopt for safe and cost-effective storage times for sterile goods Since the early 1970's, predetermined expiration dating policy has been used in Korea on all in-house sterilized products like any other countries; six months for the supplies wrapped in polyethylene peel pouches and two weeks for the rest. Recently, however, the studies suggest that current standards for preserving the sterility can be changing. It looks like we unnecessarily have too-short expiration date of sterilized supplies, that is far from being cost effective. Certainly, this research is an exciting project, especially in Korea, and will be leading and contributing to the paradigm shift of the conservative concept of shelf life for sterile supplies in Korean healthcare facilities. The major goal of this study was placed on the measurement of the recontamination time in packs wrapped in all kinds of wrapping materials used in S.M.C and stored in various conditions for periods ranging from three months to six months, and then develop a practical standard of "shelf life" based on the analyzed data. Objectives: To measure and compare the recontamination time of sterile packs among wrapppers and storage conditions, and develop a practical standard for the shelf life and storage conditions of sterile products. Samples and Method: The sterile integrity was investigated of the total 1,440 sterile sample packs containing gauze strip($1.5cm{\times}0.5cm$) we prepared and wrapped in nine wrapping materials (randomized reprocessed linens, linens reprocessed 99 times, linens reprocessed 120 times, new kraft paper, used kraft paper, new nonwoven fabrics, 6-time reprocessed nonwoven fabrics, new polyethylene peel pouches, used polyethylene peel pouches), and stored in four locations(closed cabinet of one of the typical wards, open shelf of one of ICUs, open shelf of separate storage room in ER, open shelf in OR), for three to six months, respectively in 1998. Each type of packs were opened weekly and the gauze strips inoculated into Brewer's thioglycollate broth at $35^{\circ}C$ for seven days. Results: There was no growth found for any types of the pack and storage conditions studied. Discussion: This study was conducted in an attempt to identify the possibility of extending the current shelf life for sterile goods we use in a sense of cost effectiveness. The findings suggest that we could extend our expiration dates, that means we can save a lot of materials and personnel time meeded for resterilizing, outdating, recleaning, wrapping, and reshelving. Then it will initiate a great reform in the field of healthcare in Korea, and now we are looking forward to this valuable revolution. We are going to continue this study and take all steps need to apply this new concept to our practice, and then trying to extend to other hospitals.
On farm demonstration of urea treatment (5 kg urea dissolved in 60 litre water/100kg) of straw was performed at 6 different sites and treated straw was stored by three different methods i.e., plastic covered, mud plastered and existing farmers technique (mud plastered on the top and open from sides) to determine the best storage method in field. Untreated and treated samples were taken after 5 week storage period and subjected to crude protein, crude fibre and cell wall constituents analysis. In situ dry matter digestibility of straw was measured by nylon bag technique in buffalo bulls. Crude protein content increased by 100 to 153 percent in treated straw stored by different methods. Maximum increase in crude protein of treated straw was noticed in mud plastered method. Urea treatment of straw resulted in significant decrease in crude fibre contents in all the storage methods. Treatment of straw enhanced the in situ digestibility by 25-49 percent and maximum digestibility (53%) was found in mud plastered storage method. It was concluded that the mud plastered storage method for urea treated straw was found to be the best at farm level.
