  • The value chain is analytically useful for the cultural industry that has the characteristics of both manufacture and service industry, as the focus of value chain analysis moves from manufacturing only to the other stages of activity involved in supplying goods and services to consumers. The aim of paper is to analyse the value chain of the cultural industry in Gyeongbuk, find out the strengths and weaknesses of it, and suggest the ways to enhance the innovation capabilities of cultural industry in Gyeongbuk. First, the firms in advertisement & marketing, and circulation & distribution have low percent in cultural industry and need the low level of human resource, but produce high value-added in value chain; so, we should facilitate the make-up of the firms in advertisement & marketing, and circulation & distribution. Second, we should strengthen inter-firm networks to facilitate the ex-change of the equipment, human resource, information and technology between them. Third, we should construct the system to development human resource with two levels and spread the open atmosphere of firms.

  • This study investigates the perception and adoption of ChatGPT (a large language model (LLM)-based chatbot created by OpenAI) among Korean users and assesses its potential as the next disruptive innovation. Drawing on previous literature, the study proposes perceived intelligence and perceived anthropomorphism as key differentiating factors of ChatGPT from earlier AI-based chatbots. Four individual motives (i.e., perceived usefulness, ease of use, enjoyment, and trust) and two societal motives (social influence and AI anxiety) were identified as antecedents of ChatGPT acceptance. A survey was conducted within two Korean online communities related to artificial intelligence, the findings of which confirm that ChatGPT is being used for both utilitarian and hedonic purposes, and that perceived usefulness and enjoyment positively impact the behavioral intention to adopt the chatbot. However, unlike prior expectations, perceived ease-of-use was not shown to exert significant influence on behavioral intention. Moreover, trust was not found to be a significant influencer to behavioral intention, and while social influence played a substantial role in adoption intention and perceived usefulness, AI anxiety did not show a significant effect. The study confirmed that perceived intelligence and perceived anthropomorphism are constructs that influence the individual factors that influence behavioral intention to adopt and highlights the need for future research to deconstruct and explore the factors that make ChatGPT "enjoyable" and "easy to use" and to better understand its potential as a disruptive technology. Service developers and LLM providers are advised to design user-centric applications, focus on user-friendliness, acknowledge that building trust takes time, and recognize the role of social influence in adoption.

However, those studies have limitations about the common key success factors of individual management innovation activities. Methods: For this study, we investigate the key success factors using literature research of the most typical management innovation activities adopted and implemented by many companies in Korea, such as 6sigma, TQM, Lean 6sigma, ERP, TPM, BPR, Project Management, System Engineering. Factors emerging repeatedly was combined into common factors and inherent factors that are necessary for the success of individual management innovation activities are designated to essential factors. Results: 'Essential factors for Six Sigma' consist of 5 items. Black belt operating system, personnel management system linkage, the correct management of the data, perform improvement projects associated with financial performance financial result, linked to financial performance improvement project, project progress management. 'Essential factors of TQM' are arranged 4 items. Quality team's independence and role, goal-setting, Quality Information System, corporate's philosophy of quality first. 'Essential factors of Lean Six Sigma' are the selection of value stream which is based on the customer needs and the value creation and identify the project based on the selected value in the company. 'Essential factors of ERP' are investigated 6 items. Ongoing system maintenance and upgrades, the measurement and support of user satisfaction, the operating systems and the policies for the maintenance, IT infrastructure, change adaption condition monitoring, focusing on improving business performance. 'Essential factors for Project Management' are the strategy that reduce the risk management skills through risk management and the understanding and organized management for the project participant's needs. 'Essential factors for System Engineering' consist of 2 items. The first is the design for the best balanced system with pre-analysis about the compromise the cost, schedule and the performance. The second is the analysis of large problem into small problems which can solved. We have found the solution considering components of the interface through the systematic perspective. Conclusion: Common factors and essential factors presented in this study will properly help to introduce the individual management innovation activities for the each business sector and implement management innovation. After this study, new literature research that reflect new studies should accomplish steadily.

  • In today's rapidly-changing business context with technology convergence among various fields, new technology development and technology commercialization capabilities are very important to the survival and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This study develops the research model based on the open innovation perspective and empirically tests it by using 2,000 data from SMEs in South Korea. The empirical analysis result reveals that SMEs' external technology collaboration network and external information network diversities have positive effects on their technology commercialization capability, and these effects are fully mediated by their new technology development capability. Based on these results, the study provides meaningful implications especially in terms of SMEs' managers who pursue entrepreneurship.

  • Ideation is a process of generating new ideas or solutions using online crowd-sourcing technologies. This process has the potential to change the ways by which government agencies innovate and solve problems. Although increasingly more government agencies are implementing online ideation programs to tap into their employees' ideas and creativity, little is known about the unique challenges and effective practices of such programs. Thus, many government agencies are undergoing trial and error and often reinventing the wheel. This research aims to address this problem. By analyzing a focus group session and four cases of U.S. federal government ideation programs designed for their employees, this research identifies important organizational and technological challenges and effective practices. Furthermore, effective practices are grouped into different phases of ideation process and strategic vs. tactical levels to provide more meaningful and actionable insights. This research is an important step towards building a theoretical foundation for government ideation programs. The implications and limitations of this study are discussed.

  • This paper discusses a distributed implementation of the Biba security policy model. Implementation of an service in the OSI-RM is not sufficient for enforcing the Biba model. Also confidentiality services are necessary. Public Key Systems(PKSs) are considered for the realization of these security services. In this paper symmetric & asymmetric cryptographic systems are considered for the realization of these security service. It is investigated how key-distributions can be found resulting in a minimum number of key.
