A numerical study on hydrodynamic maneuvering derivatives for heave-pitch coupling motion of a ray-type underwater glider

  • We used a numerical method to estimate the hydrodynamic maneuvering derivatives for the heave-pitch coupling motion of an underwater glider. It is very important to assess the hydrodynamic maneuvering characteristics of a specific hull form of an underwater glider in the initial design stages. Although model tests are the best way to obtain the derivatives, numerical methods such as the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) method are used to save time and cost. The RANS method is widely used to estimate the maneuvering performance of surface-piercing marine vehicles, such as tankers and container ships. However, it is rarely applied to evaluate the maneuvering performance of underwater vehicles such as gliders. This paper presents numerical studies for typical experiments such as static drift and Planar Motion Mechanism (PMM) to estimate the hydrodynamic maneuvering derivatives for a Ray-type Underwater Glider (RUG). A validation study was first performed on a manta-type Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV), and the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) results were compared with a model test that was conducted at the Circular Water Channel (CWC) in Korea Maritime and Ocean University. Two different RANS solvers were used (Star-CCM+ and OpenFOAM), and the results were compared. The RUG's derivatives with both static drift and dynamic PMM (pure heave and pure pitch) are presented.

An investigation into the Online Sales Channels of Small Business Fashion Retailers on Portal Shopping and Fashion Shopping Malls (소상공인 패션판매업자의 온라인 판매채널 연구: 포털쇼핑몰과 패션쇼핑몰(종합물/전문몰)을 중심으로)

  • The aim of this study was to analyze the perceptions and entering status of small business online fashion retailers on portal shopping and fashion shopping malls. Case studies were conducted on a total of 10 research samples. The results were as follows: first, regarding the strategic factors of online fashion stores, 'price competitiveness' is important, especially in portal shopping and low-cost brands; 'product assortment' is important but not essential in all platforms; and 'differentiation' is important to continuously secure loyal customers in fashion shopping malls. Customer satisfaction leads to customer loyalty, and customer loyalty affects the sales conversion rate and brand growth of online sales channels. Factors that promoted sales activities in online sales channels were exposure, advertisements, SNS, events, special exhibitions, and events. Hindrance factors were low price competition, overheated competition, and the MD of sales channels. Second, the research samples used multiple online sales channels, including portal shopping malls and fashion shopping malls, in addition to their own malls. The selection factors were platform reputation and commission, branding, and customer inflow through exposure. Portal shopping malls were perceived as providing easy access, advertising/customer communication, exposure/search, price competitiveness, scalability, and intense competition, whereas fashion shopping malls were perceived as providing a brand image and concept, brand promotion, high commissions, difficult entry, and low profits. The factors for success in portal shopping malls were exposure/search, price competitiveness, and brand recognition, whereas the factors for success in fashion shopping malls were differentiation, brand, exposure/advertisement, product assortment, and MD.

Computational Simulations of Turbulent Wake Behind a Pre-Swirl Duct Using a Hybrid Turbulence Model with High Fidelity (하이브리드 난류 모델을 이용한 전류고정덕트 후류의 고정도 수치 해석)

  • A hybrid turbulence model has developed by combining a sub-grid scale model using dynamic k equation in LES with k-𝜔 SST model of RANS equation. To ascertain potential applicability of the hybrid turbulence model, fully developed turbulent channel flows at Re𝜏=180 have been simulated of which computational domain has a top wall with coarse cells and a bottom wall with fine cells. The streamwise mean velocity and turbulent intensity profiles showed a good agreement with DNS data when using the hybrid model rather than using a single model in k-𝜔 SST or dynamic k equation models. Computational simulations of turbulent flows around KVLCC2 with a pre-swirl duct have been mainly performed using the hybrid turbulence model. Compared to the results obtained from RANS simulation with k-𝜔 SST model as well as LES with dynamic k equation SGS model, turbulent wakes of the duct in the present simulation using the hybrid turbulence model were very similar to that of LES. Also, the resistances acting on hull, rudder and duct in hybrid turbulence model were similar to those in RANS simulation whereas the viscous forces acting on the hull in LES had a significant error due to coarse cells inappropriate to the sub-grid scale model.

  • This paper proposes a random sign reversal technique in space frequency block code for single carrier modulation. The traditional space time and frequency block coding technique may be confronted with radio environments openly, severe radio hijacking problems are to be overcome. In order to avoid such an open radio issue, random coded data protection technique for space-time block code was proposed, but this algorithm can change channel combination per an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing block. This kind of slow switching increases the probability that nearby receivers will detect the transmitted data. This paper proposes a fast switching algorithm per data symbols' basis which is a random sign reversal technique in space frequency block code for Single Carrier Modulation. It is shown in simulation that the proposed one has a superior performance in comparison with the performance of the receiver which do not know the random timing sequence of sign reversal.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the recyclability of Shenlong in China using SWOT. The main analysis results are as follows. First, provided that the company's current capacity utilization rate is seriously insufficient, reducing staff is one among the effective ways. Second, Shenlong should open a web store to cater to young people's online shopping behavior, and further expand the brand visibility using national mainstream media and online shopping platforms like Taobao and JingDong to market Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen on the whole network. Third, under the premise of maintaining the present best-selling models, Shenlong should appropriately reduce the amount of models, adjust the assembly capacity ratio of every model and every displacement in real time per the newest market trends, increase the agility of auto companies' production, and timely meet the wants of domestic consumers. Fourth, dual-brand coordination and channel integration are very necessary, and also the profitability and profitability of dealers are going to be further improved, thereby increasing sales. Fifth, target building new energy leading products of Shenlong, strive to attain the forefront of the industry within the sales of recent energy vehicles within 5 years, and gradually expand new energy vehicle products from passenger vehicles to passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles.   • In the oil and gas exploration market, various cableless seismic systems have been developed as an alternative to improve data acquisition efficiency. However, developing such equipment at a small scale for academic research is not available owing to highly priced commercial products. Fortunately, building and experimenting with open-source hardware enable the academic utilization of cableless seismic equipment with relatively low cost. This study aims to develop a cableless seismic acquisition module using Arduino. A cableless seismic system requires the combination of signal sensing, simple pre-processing, and data storage in a single device. A conventional geophone is used as the sensor that detects the seismic wave signal. In addition, it is connected to an Arduino circuit that plays a role in implementing the processing and storing module for the detected signals. Three main functions are implemented in the Arduino module: preprocessing, A/D conversion, and data storage. The developed single-channel module can acquire a common receiver gather from multiple source experiments.

  • In this paper, we present machine learning to control drone flight using EEG signals. We defined takeoff, forward, backward, left movement and right movement as control targets and measured EEG signals from the frontal lobe for controlling using Fp1. Fp2 Fp2 two-channel dry electrode (NeuroNicle FX2) measuring at 250Hz sampling rate. And the collected data were filtered at 6~20Hz cutoff frequency. We measured the motion image of the action associated with each control target open for 5.19 seconds. Using Matlab's classification learner for the measured EEG signal, the triple layer neural network, logistic regression kernel, nonlinear polynomial Support Vector Machine(SVM) learning was performed, logistic regression kernel was confirmed as the highest accuracy for takeoff and forward, backward, left movement and right movement of the drone in learning by class True Positive Rate(TPR).

  • 영상유속계는 영상을 이용한 비접촉식 유속계로 하천과 같은 넓은 범위의 유속 및 유량을 쉽고 간편하게 측정할 수 있다는 장점이 있어 최근 국내외에서 영상유속계의 실용화 연구가 다양하게 수행되고 있다. 특히 영상유속계는 별도의 고가의 장비 없이 카메라만을 이용하기 때문에 비교적 경제적이고 간편하며 비접촉식 유속 측정 방법이기 때문에 안전하게 홍수기 하천 유속 및 유량을 측정할 수 있다. 또한 넓은 범위의 유속을 순간적으로 측정할 수 있기 때문에 시간에 따라 수위가 급변하는 중규모 이하의 하천 유량을 측정하는데 적합하다. 하지만 영상유속계로 측정한 유속은 표면유속이기 때문에 하천 유량을 산정하기 위해서는 표면유속에 환산계수를 곱해 평균유속으로 환산하는 과정이 필요하다. 환산계수는 이전 연구에서 실험을 통해 0.84~0.90의 값을 갖는다고 하였고 일반적으로 0.85를 사용하지만, 하상, 수심 및 단면에서의 측정 위치에 따라 달라지므로 확실하게 결정하기 어렵다(Turnipseed and Sauer, 2010). 특히 국내의 많은 하천은 산책로를 포함한 복잡한 복단면으로 이루어져 있어 환산계수를 일률적으로 0.85로 사용하면 유량 측정 정확도가 낮아질 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 서울시 탄천 대곡교에서 영상유속계를 이용하여 홍수기 유량 측정을 수행하여 흐름 특성에 따른 수위변화에 따라 적정 환산계수를 산정하였다. 탄천 대곡교 지점은 환경부의 자동유량계측 장비가 설치되어 있고 다년간의 검증된 유량 자료를 확보할 수 있기 때문에 환경부 유량측정 결과와 영상유속계로 산정한 유량을 비교하며 환산계수 변화를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 수위에 따라 환산계수는 0.7~1.3의 범위를 갖으며 둔치수위 이하에서는 0.85와 유사한 경향을 보였고, 둔치를 넘는 수위에서는 1 이상으로 환산계수가 증가하였다가 둔치가 완전히 잠기는 수위에서는 다시 0.85 정도로 변화하는 경향을 확인하였다. 향후 영상유속계를 이용한 다양한 홍수기 계측을 통해 복단면에서의 적정 환산계수 검토가 필요할 것으로 생각한다.

  • 급경사 산지하천은 호우 시 퇴적 하상이 붕괴하여 하천 유사량을 급격히 증가시키는 계곡형 토석류가 발생하고 도로와 교량에 피해를 일으키기도 한다. 이러한 하천재해를 저감하기 위하여 돌망태 낙차공을 설치하여 하상 안정을 강화하고 급경사에 따른 유수에너지를 줄일 수 있다. 급경사 하상에 설치한 돌망태 낙차공은 하류부 하상의 국부세굴에 따른 파괴위험이 완경사 하상의 경우에 비하여 높으므로 이를 줄이기 위한 연구가 필요하다. 이 연구에서는 광폭경사조절 개수로에 돌망태 낙차공을 설치하고 낙차공의 채움재가 복류의 특성에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 수리실험을 하였다. 수리실험에서는 최대 20º까지 경사를 조절할 수 있는 길이 1.44m, 폭 0.14m인 직사각형 단면 개수로에 SUS304 구슬을 사용하여 하상과 돌망태 낙차공을 설치하고 실험하였다. 구슬은 크기에 따라 작은구슬(10.31mm), 중간구슬(15.08mm), 큰구슬(20.63mm)을 사용하고, 하상에는 작은구슬을 깔았다. 낙차공의 크기는 길이 16cm이고 폭과 높이는 12cm이며, 돌망태는 작은구슬을 사용한 단일돌망태와 구슬 크기를 달리한 계층돌망태로 구분하였다. 계층돌망태의 상층은 작은구슬, 중층은 중간구슬, 하층은 큰구슬이 채움재로 사용되었다. 단일돌망태의 공극율은 0.399이고 계층돌망태의 공극률은 상층 0.393, 중층 0.517, 하층 0.54이다. 실험유량의 변화는 낙차공 하단부에서 표면류가 발생하지 않는 범위로 한정하였다. 낙차공 하단에서 상류 68cm 지점의 소류력과 낙차공 내부 복류의 수면경사를 측정하였다. 그 결과 단일돌망태보다 계층돌망태가 소류력과 수면경사가 더 작은 것으로 나타났으며 돌망태의 공극을 통한 통수능 차이 때문인 것으로 판단된다.

A Study on Consumer Characteristics According to Social Media Use Clusters When Purchasing Agri-food Online (온라인 농식품 구매시 소셜미디어 이용 군집에 따른 소비자특성에 대한 연구)

  • According to the 2019-2020 social media usage survey conducted by the Seoul e-commerce center, 5 out of 10 consumers have experienced shopping through social media. The cost of traditional advertising media has been reduced and advertising spending on social media has risen by 74%, indicating that social media is becoming a more important marketing element. While the number of users of social media has increased and corporate marketing activities have increased accordingly, research has been conducted in various aspects of marketing such as user motivation for social media, satisfaction, and purchase intention. There was no subdivided study on the differences in the social media usage frequency of consumers in actual purchasing behavior. This study attempted to identify differences in consumer characteristics by cluster in the agrifood purchase situation by grouping them by type according to the frequency of use of social media for consumers who purchase agri-food online. Product involvement, product need, and online purchase channel Consumer characteristics such as demographic distribution, perceived risk, and eating and lifestyle in each cluster were checked for the three agrifood purchase situations including choice, and types for each cluster were presented. To this end, questionnaire data on the frequency of social media use and online agrifood purchase behavior were collected from 245 consumers, and the validity of the measurement variables was secured through factor analysis and reliability analysis. As a result of cluster analysis according to the frequency of social media use, it was divided into three clusters. The first cluster was a group that mainly used open social media, and the second cluster was a group that used both open and closed social media and online shopping malls; The third cluster was a group with low online media usage overall, and the characteristics of each cluster appeared. Through regression analysis, the effect on product involvement, product need, and purchase channel selection when purchasing agri-food online through each of the three clusters was confirmed through regression analysis. As a result of the regression analysis, the characteristic of cluster 1 in the situation of purchasing agri-food online is a male in his 30s living in a rural area who has no reluctance to purchase agri-food on social media or online shopping malls. The characteristics of cluster 2 are mainly consumers who are interested in purchasing health food, and the consumer characteristics are represented. In the case of cluster 3, when purchasing products online, they purchase after considering quality and price a lot, and the consumer characteristics are represented as people who are more confident in purchasing offline than online. Through this study, it is judged that by identifying the differences in consumer characteristics that appear in the agri-food purchase situation according to the frequency of social media use, it can be helpful in strategic judgments in marketing practice on social media customer targeting and customer segmentation.
