Signal Processing and Development Process Based on "MOOC + SPOC + Flipped Classroom"

  • The hybrid teaching approach of "MOOC + SPOC + Flipped Classroom" overcomes the constraints of time and space that are typically associated with traditional teaching methods, thus compensating for the shortcomings of traditional approaches. These changes in education are driven by the "Internet+" wave and the growing popularity of online teaching. The "MOOC + SPOC + Flipped Classroom" hybrid teaching mode can successfully compensate for the drawbacks of traditional teaching methods, thereby overcoming their restrictions. By defining relevant concepts, one can distill the key characteristics of the "MOOC + SPOC + Flipped Classroom" hybrid teaching mode. Formative assessment was employed to thoroughly evaluate the effectiveness of this teaching approach. By leveraging the advantages of massive open online course (MOOC), small private online course (SPOC), and flipped classroom, the "MOOC +SPOC + Flipped Classroom" teaching mode incorporates real-time student assessment through peer evaluation, computer-aided evaluation, and teacher evaluation. This mode promotes the simultaneous development of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, helping students to establish strong foundations while fostering their practical abilities. While the traditional teaching method remains fruitful, the convenience of today's network allows the teaching profession to continually evolve. The traditional teaching mode heavily relies on teachers, making it impossible to conduct lessons without them. However, the development of MOOC enables students to seek knowledge online from their preferred teachers, rather than solely relying on their assigned instructors.

  • Due to the development of technology even in learning and education area, many studies have begun to make a new attempts to research by using SNS, breaking away from traditional learning methods. However, the limitations of these studies are restricted only to the use of wireless Internet and writing on Web sites. This study aims to conduct a research on English learning activities that utilize various technologies such as Bigdata, Facebook, Social Network Services (SNS) and English applications. In addition, this study looks into how these modern technologies can be integrated in the classrooms and which activities can be applied in the English classroom. This research is to suggest effective English learning methods through a thorough investigation on the effectivity of various technologies based on the Web 2.0 such as Flickr, blogs, MySpace, and online discussion board within the context of the English learning. To verify the effect of the study, the subjects are divided into experimental and control group. The experiment is proceeded with pre- and post-test. The experimental group is designed to verify the effects using SNS tools such as Facebook, Bigdata, and Online Massive Learning. A survey is conducted to determine the preference of utilizing social networking sites and to analyze the effects in class. The result is that the average scores for experimental group have improved more than the average of control group. The comparison of pre and post-test of the experimental group shows that the significance of the higher and median group was statistically significant at the p<0.01.

Creation of a Voice Recognition-Based English Aided Learning Platform

  • In hopes of resolving the issue of poor quality of information input for teaching spoken English online, the study creates an English teaching assistance model based on a recognition algorithm named dynamic time warping (DTW) and relies on automated voice recognition technology. In hopes of improving the algorithm's efficiency, the study modifies the speech signal's time-domain properties during the pre-processing stage and enhances the algorithm's performance in terms of computational effort and storage space. Finally, a simulation experiment is employed to evaluate the model application's efficacy. The study's revised DTW model, which achieves recognition rates of above 95% for all phonetic symbols and tops the list for cloudy consonant recognition with rates of 98.5%, 98.8%, and 98.7% throughout the three tests, respectively, is demonstrated by the study's findings. The enhanced model for DTW voice recognition also presents higher efficiency and requires less time for training and testing. The DTW model's KS value, which is the highest among the models analyzed in the KS value analysis, is 0.63. Among the comparative models, the model also presents the lowest curve position for both test functions. This shows that the upgraded DTW model features superior voice recognition capabilities, which could significantly improve online English education and lead to better teaching outcomes.

COVID-19 상황에서 원격수업에 대한 기술융합 공업계 대학의 교수자와 학습자 인식 고찰 (A Study on Instructors and Learners Perceptions of Technology Convergence College for Distance Education in the COVID-19 Situation)

  • 본 연구는 코로나19로 인한 대학의 원격수업이 장기화하고 교수자와 학습자의 어려움이 계속됨에 따라, 여러 기술이 결합 된 기술융합 부문 공업계 대학 교수자와 학습자의 인식 파악을 통하여 개선 방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2020학년도 2학기 종료 시기에 자동차 계열 교수와 학생들을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 분석 결과, 교수와 학생은 온라인 수업의 장점 측면에 대해서는 시공간의 자유로움, 반복 학습 가능, 재활용 등 유사한 인식을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 애로사항 측면에서는 학생은 현장감 부족으로 학습몰입 떨어짐을, 교수와 학생 모두는 상호작용의 어려움을 상대적으로 크게 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 기복이 있는 코로나 상황과 코로나 이후 공업계 대학의 온라인 교육에 대하여 대학 정책지원에 관한 제언과 기본자료를 마련한다는 의의가 있다.

메타버스를 활용한 원격교육 인식 및 만족도 사전조사: 이프랜드(ifland) 앱 사용을 중심으로 (Preliminary Investigation on Student Perspectives and Satisfaction with Distance Education in the Metaverse World: Focusing on the Use of ifland App)

  • 최근 들어 원격교육의 하나의 플랫폼으로 메타버스(Metaverse)가 각광을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 새로운 교육공간의 일환으로서 메타버스의 장점을 살펴보고 교육적 가능성과 활용도에 관해서 조사한다. 이를 위해 대학 전공 수업에서 SNS 기반형의 메타버스 플랫폼 중 하나인 이프랜드(ifland)를 활용하여 수업을 진행하고 32명 학생들의 경험과 기술에 대한 인식과 만족도를 사전 설문조사로 분석하였다. 그 결과에 따르면 대부분의 학생들은 메타버스 수업 경험에 전반적으로 만족을 하는 것으로 나타났고 특히 새로운 플랫폼에 대한 흥미와 재미도, 아바타를 통한 3D 기반의 의사소통과 상호작용에 높은 만족감을 드러냈다. 한편으로는 현재까지는 다른 실시간 화상강의 플랫폼처럼 화면공유가 안 되는 점, PC버전이 없고 모바일에서만 구현이 되는 점 등의 기술적인 한계점도 발견되었다. 이러한 단점에도 불구하고 대다수의 학생들은 실시간 화상강의와 메타버스 수업 중 메타버스 수업을 듣는 것을 더 선호한다고 응답하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 토대로 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용하여 원격 수업을 제공할 경우 어떠한 교육적 효과를 기대할 수 있는지에 대한 가능성을 제안한다.

  • In this study, safety education contents for medical radiation workers were produced based on Mixed Reality(MR). Currently, safety training for radiation workers is based on theory. This is insufficient in terms of worker satisfaction and efficiency. To address this, we created ICT(Information and Communication Technologies)-based MR radiation worker safety education content. The expected effect of Mixed Reality worker safety education content is that education is possible without space and time constraints, realistic education is possible without on-site training, and interaction between images is possible through reality-based 3D images, enabling self-directed learning Is that. In addition, learning in a virtual space expressed through HMD(Head Mounted Display) is expected to make education more enjoyable and increase concentration, thereby increasing the efficiency of education. A quantitative evaluation was conducted by an accredited institution and a qualitative evaluation was performed on users, which received excellent evaluation. The MR safety education conducted in this study is expected to be of great help to the education of medical radiation workers, and is expected to develop into a new educational paradigm as online education in accordance with Corona 19 progresses.

외국어 과목 운영을 위한 온라인 평가 및 맞춤 학습 시스템의 개발 (Development of Online Testing and Customized Study System for Running Foreign Language Classes)

  • 대학 교육에서 외국어 교육 중요성의 증대와 아울러 대단위 강좌에 대한 효율적인 온라인 외국어 평가 및 학습시스템의 도입이 절실히 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 대단위 외국어 강좌에 대하여 온라인 평가가 가능할 뿐만 아니라 개인별 능력에 맞춘 학습기능과 진단기능을 갖춘 평가 및 학습 시스템을 제안한다. 제안한 시스템의 사용은 대단위 강좌에서 시험 평가에 따른 시공간의 효율적 활용을 가능하게 하고 강사와 분반에 관계없이 모든 학생들에게 동일한 수준의 교과 진행을 가능하게 하여 강의의 질 향상에도 기여한다.

코로나 이후 세계를 위한 기독교교육 (Christian Education for the Post-Corona World)

  • 연구 목적 : 코로나 팬데믹 종식이 본격적으로 거론되는 시점에 이 논문은 팬데믹이 초래한 사회 변화를 집중적으로 살펴보고, 그것을 기초로 해서 향후 기독교교육의 방향을 가늠하고 제시하는 것을 목적으로 삼고 있다. 연구 내용 및 방법 : 코로나 팬데믹을 거치면서 진행된 사회 전반의 급속한 변화를 다섯 가지 관점, 즉 세계화, 디지털, 불평등, 교육체제, 교회 변화를 중심으로 검토한다(II장). 계속해서 코로나 이전에는 전혀 예상할 수 없었던 사회 변화를 충분히 고려해서 팬데믹 이후 세계에 필요한 기독교 교육의 향후 방향을 결론적으로 제시하고자 한다(III장, IV장). 결론 및 제언 : 코로나 이후 세계를 위한 기독교교육은 교회의 교육적 사명을 성취하도록 현재 상황을 위기 극복의 계기로 활용해야 한다. 추후 기독교교육은 팬데믹 시대의 사회 변화(지역 중심 세계화, 디지털 전환, 경제 불평등, 교육환경 변화)에 관심을 갖고 성찰하면서 모바일 교회학교, 거점 교회학교, 안전한 교회학교, 생태 교회학교로의 혁신적 전환이 시급하다.

I-세대의 어패럴캐드 교육을 위한 블렌디드 러닝 활용 제안 (Apparel Pattern CAD Education Based on Blended Learning for I-Generation)

  • In the era of globalization and unlimited competition, Korean universities need a breakthrough in their education system according to the changing education landscape, such as lower graduation requirements to cultivate more multi-talented convergence leaders. While each student has different learning capabilities, which results in different performance and achievements in the same class, the uniform education that most universities are currently offering fails to accommodate such differences. Blended learning, synergically combining offline and online classes, enlarges learning space and enriches learning experiences through diversified tools and materials, including multimedia. Recently, universities are increasingly adopting video contents and on-offline convergence learning strategy. Thus, this study suggests a teaching method based on blended learning to more effectively teach existing pattern CAD and virtual CAD in the Apparel Pattern CAD class. To this end, this researcher developed a teaching-learning method and curriculum according to the blended learning phase and video-based contents. The curriculum consisted of 2D CAD (SuperAlpha: Plus) and 3D CAD (CLO) software learning for 15 weeks. Then, it was loaded to the Learning Management System (LMS) and operated for 15 weeks both online and offline. The performance analysis of LMS usage found that class materials, among online postings, were viewed the most. The discussion menu most accurately depicted students' participation, and students who did not participate in discussions were estimated to check postings less than participating students. A survey on the blended learning found that students prefer digital or more digitized classes, while preferring face to face for Q&As.

  • With the introduction of the e-learning since 2000, the place of the education has not been limited to off-line, but the range of it has become broader in online. The e-learning market has evolved steadily over time. With the advent of the term "Edu-tech", which means a combination of education and technology, various IT technologies have incorporated education. Particularly, the Korean education market collects patterns by computerizing the learning history in classes taught according to curriculums. Because of that environment, various personalized learning services have been developed which maximize the effect of the learning. These services have qualitative differences depending on how many data is accumulated and algorithms are developed for the precise analysis. The purpose of this study is to recognize and data-ize OMR marking by the most suitable method to convert analog data into digital data without harming the Korean education system.
