  • In recent years, electronic finance, especially online banking and brokerage services has reshaped the financial landscape around the world For example, e-finance makes it possible to offer banking services around the world 24 hours a day. The aim of this paper is to analyze the macroeconomic effects of e-finance and e-money, or with existing leading studies, is to survey how development of e-finance effects on monetary polices, and is to think out political devices to raise the efficiency of monetary polices.

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between offline trust and use of online service focusing on Internet banking. For this purpose, we suggest an extended version of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) that would explain use or acceptance of infer]nation technology especially in Internet based service areas. In order to connect offline trust with Internet banking use, TAM is extended by adding two variables - technical competence for security services that is one facet of trust on the bank's security technology and security risk that would influence use, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Empirically our model is well proved with low significance level.

Exploring the Antecedents to Affect the Intention to Use of Mobile Banking (모바일뱅킹 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 탐색)

  • Recently, as mobile banking enables to instantly provide the customized service in accordance with customer demand via information technology. With this individual customized service, mobile banking plays a role of transforming the existing offline banking strategies. However, contrary to expectation, the mobile banking service has not been widely used to the extent that it can replace offline banking service. Therefore, the current study aims to explore the antecedents to affect customer's usage of mobile banking. Specifically, the antecedents influencing the intention to use and actual usage of mobile banking include personal-innovation fit, positive psychological capital, and service quality factors, which reflect the innovative technology characteristics of mobile banking. Furthermore, the paper also analyzes the effect of mobile banking service on intention to use and actual usage of mobile banking service. With empirical analysis using Structural Equation Modeling for 195 mobile banking users, the results showed that user's ability fit, value fit, and positive psychological capital positively affected user's future intention to use and actual usage of mobile banking. Furthermore, the current paper also found the significant moderation effect of usage purpose of mobile banking (banking task and online stock exchange) in the relationship between positive psychological capital and intention to use. This study suggests that banks need to develop mobile banking services that reflect customer's IT usability as well as their pursuing purpose and value.

  • As Internet banking service became popular, many users can exchange goods by online. Even though this advantage, there are incident cases in the Internet banking service due to security threats. In order to counteract this problem, various security techniques have been applied over whole area in the Internet banking service. Therefore, we described that analyzed results of security techniques applied in the financial institutions area and network communication area in this paper. We consider that this paper will be useful as a reference to protect security threats occurred by insiders and vulnerabilities in implementation.

E-SERVQUAL and Its Impact on the Performance of Islamic Banks in Malaysia from the Customer's Perspective

  • Service quality has been a point of discussion from the decades as it is important for customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention. Various models have been proposed to measure the quality in the service sector. Models are modified in accordance with context and geography to assess the quality of service better. This study aims to investigate the impact of the modified e-SERVQUAL model on the customer perception about the existing relation and potential scope of doing business with a bank which in-turn will decide the performance of the bank. Statistical data was analyzed through various tests like reliability analysis, correlation and regression analysis using SPSS 25.0. The primary data of e-SQ and performance was gathered from 721 internet banking users using 32 item questionnaire, representing 72% response rates, of four selected Islamic banks of Malaysia. E-SERQUAL was modified by adding Shariah Compliance information about banks and products for Islamic banking customers. The finding specified that efficient & reliable services, fulfillment, security/trust, and Shariah compliance information have a significant association with the performance of Islamic banks. The research is original and its implications will be helpful for Islamic banks across the world to enhance the online experience of customers, which will help them to retain the customers in the rapid changing virtual environment.

The number of the Internet banking users has continually increased. But researches on the characteristics of online users are not enough to prevent any mistakes in online world.   • Today's technology enables consumers to trade millions of dollars, conduct online banking, access entertainment, and do countless other activities at the click of a button. Online social networks (OSN) have become a cultural phenomenon that allows for individualistic consumerism. Consumers are increasingly utilizing OSN to share ideas, build communities, and contact fellow consumers who are similar to themselves. The relevance of online communities to the music is immense especially because musicians are now using social media to build global audiences. Not only is information about music and performance disseminated online, but musical commodities are sold and traded online. Online music communities allow consumers to elect and create new identities online through the purchase of subcultural commodities. Given the growing economic importance of online music communities it is important to get a holistic view of subcultural communities online. This study utilized content analysis of online music community websites using the Netnography methodology as developed by Kozinet for data collection to analyze consumers' purchasing and consumption behavior of subcultural commodities online as related to the formation of subcultural identities. Findings showed that subcultural items are predominantly purchased online, especially digital music, and there is a need for more custom craft items. The authors presented a new conceptual taxonomy of online subcultural consumer classifications based on online behavior patterns.

  • Because the coins of about 920 billion are hoarded during these ten years, the national treasury of about 35 billion wons is wasted in minting coins every year. In this paper we promote to revitalize the circulation of coins through the connection with the financial world. Firstly embedded software that is contained in the coin banking ATM is developed. Then we developed new business process model that does customer spend coins efficiently in online through this system. The system constructed in this paper can contribute to the public interest and the marketability of the nation because of reducing waste of the national treasury and improving utilization and negotiability of coins.

  • Purpose This paper tired to identify the consumers' tendency with individual features and social influence as the independent variables because of the importance of identifying the various needs of financial consumers in accordance with the expansion of new financial demands. Furthermore, this paper included the relative attraction of Fintech and switching cost from mobile banking to Fintech as the variables. Design/methodology/approach To analyze the empirical study, data was collected online by conducting the questionnaire survey with 247 individuals who had used the Fintech service. The study results would provide us with the understandings of the factors influencing on the customer satisfaction and switching value recognized by consumers in case of switching from the existing mobile banking to the Fintech service. Findings The results would provide useful implications to the academic and the practical fields including the Fintech enterprises expanding the activation of Fintech industry.

  • Online signature verification system is widely used in banking account, credit card and so on, because system for online signature verification is easy to implementation and inexpensive. Therefore there are a lot of study on online signature verification. However there is little research about online signature is safe or not. This paper shows a way of online signature estimation using various information of signature. This paper make a experiment about relation sorority grade of online signature and 2-D information of online signature like the number of strokes and cross points, density of points, standard deviation of direction, velocity and acceleration, lengths of signature and convex hull etc. Finally, this paper presents several features of safe online signature.
